Temporary 'Grey Army Base', Blighfall, Dellone, Under Realm

Frank guided Vixen into the room "Welcome home, son" the man darkly smiled as the boy looked around the room.
A decent sized room with dark carpet and spotless clean walls, a nice bed with a grey uniform laid out on the end of it and a set of drawers that the teen could guess was filled with more Grey Army branded clothing.
Vixen slowly stepped further into the room as Frank stayed behind him "Tomorrow's ceremony will be aired on all broadcasts, all the realms will witness the reunion of our family and my legacy carrying onto you" the man pridefully stated "We'll make the world wish that you stayed gone" he darkly smirked as Vixen closed his eyes. "I don't know if I should do this-" "Son, you are the symbol of my greatness" Frank cut off the boy, stepping over and holding his son's shoulders whilst leaning into his ear "You becoming the leader tomorrow seals your fate and guarantees your survival in all the realms- you will no longer be the outcast you grew up as" Frank stated. "You will lead our family into greatness that even Heaven can't give... all you have to do is use the curse's loophole to make yourself the Light Spirit, then no one will be able to stop you" the man said, Vixen immediately tore himself out of his father's grasp, turning to face Frank "I can't do that- not to Corey" the boy shook his head. Frank stepped forward, trying to keep the anger off his face "Vixen, that boy just told you that you weren't his 'brother'" the man reminded his son "Besides, you can always bring him back, being a divine comes with that ability" "And if it doesn't?" Vixen questioned Frank who just shrugged his shoulders "Then you have the ability to create a new brother, one that would love you no matter what" the man told him through a strained smile.
"Imagine how happy your mother would be, to see her boy as a living breathing divine" Frank continued as Vixen's eyes softened "...my mother?" "She's sick, son, and has been for years" the man 'gently' stated "But the Light Spirit would be able to cure her illness, you could save her... don't you want to save your beloved mother?" Frank questioned. The boy's head fell, guilt plaguing his face as Frank smirked "It's settled then, after your ceremony, you will use the loophole in the curse to make yourself the new Light Spirit" the man stated, patting Vixen's shoulder before walking out of the room.
After an hour alone in his new bedroom, Vixen forced himself to change into the Grey Army uniform on the bed of his bed, glancing at his reflection in the mirror that stood by the door.
The uniform was exactly like any normal Grey Army soldier's uniform; grey coat with the army's symbol embroidered onto the sleeves and a silver army pin pinned to the edge of its collar and a belt with a set of his own keys hanging off of it, a light grey sweater and t-shirt to be worn underneath the coat, grey army pants and black army-issued boots... he really now looked the part.
Vixen stepped out of the room, closing it behind himself before walking down the corridor, recalling his path back pass his old cell-like room and several more corridors before reaching Sean and Corey's cell... or now just Corey's cell.
A few days ago, Frank took it upon himself to separate the boys and move Sean to a different cell in the ward him and Corey were being held in.
The boy took a deep breath before unlocking the door and stepping into the cell, his gaze immediately meeting Corey's. Corey looked him up and down before his gaze stayed glued to the ground "So you're one of them now, huh?" he questioned in a tired voice as Vixen's brows knotted "...if you just wanted to meet your parents, we would've helped you, this all could've ended differently-" "With neither of us not chained in a cell?" Vixen questioned as Corey bit his tongue. "Point one to you" Corey muttered as the other boy leaned against the wall across from him "...he abandoned me in the Human Realm with two of his soldiers, made them lie about his death until after the GACTC" Vixen randomly started as Corey listened "Chad and Bella told me stories of how great of a leader my father was, how kind my mother was, and after telling me that they were still alive, warned me just how bad my father really was" Vixen continued. Corey's hands balled up into fists yet forced himself to stay somewhat 'peaceful' "Why didn't you listen to their warnings then? why didn't that convince you that he wasn't worth the trouble?" he questioned the other boy whose head lowered a little "Because I still wanted to meet my mother and only he knew where she was" Vixen quietly answered.
"No- mum!" the little boy went to run after his mother who walked over to his aunt's car with her bags, only to have his dad wrap his arms around the boy to hold him back "Make her stay" the boy begged his father who also had tears running down his face "I can't, Corey... this is her decision" he reminded his son. They both looked back over at the woman at the car who had turned wiped the tears from her eyes before getting in, not looking back.
Corey's brows frowned at the memory.
His parents got into an argument when his father found out his mother was using, and in the heat of it, she had hit her husband... somehow hard enough to put the man's arm in a cast.
That whole incident made her realise how bad she had gotten. Her husband tried to assure her that everything was okay, that he didn't blame her or anything and still loved her- no, she hated herself and organised to go to rehab and have her sister take her there, and made her husband promise to not let himself or his son anywhere near her whilst at rehab, that meaning no visits whatsoever. And a year later, after getting signed out, she still didn't come back. She moved into a small rental and filed for a divorce to protect her husband and son from her, she even gave up every last bit of custody she had over her son. A few months after that, the boy's father managed to convince her to at least visit once a month to see her son.
A year later, they were good friends and both kept a great relationship with their son... and then, well... George met Hannah who quickly became the boy's step-mother.
"They told me that my mother was the kindest and sweetest woman alive" Vixen smiled a little as Corey silently listened to him "Even after telling me how bad my father really was, they never said anything different about her" "So that's why you did this? to meet her?" the other boy questioned "I guess now... to save her from him" Vixen admitted "...I get it" the other boy spoke as Vixen lifted his gaze to re-meet Corey's saddened one. "To lose a mother like that, I've kind of been through it before" he said, rubbing the sore skin of his wrists that were bounded by the shackles "If you want, I can help you find her?" Corey offered yet Vixen shook his head "I don't have the keys to get you out, Corey, Frank's not that stupid" he told him. Corey looked away from the army boy "...obvious, wasn't I?" "Yeah, but I could still tell that you meant it" Vixen said, watching the other sigh "I need to find Angelina, Vixen" Corey told him "I'm sure that if you explain everything to her, tell her about your mother- she'll help you, I know it-" "No, she won't" Vixen firmly stated, throwing the other boy off a bit. "How you and Sean reacted to Frank telling you who I am- how do you think she'll react when she finds out that I was the one who killed her?" Vixen questioned "But... you regret doing that-" "Not everyone is a forgiving person, Corey" Vixen told him.
Corey's eyes narrowed a little as he scanned Vixen's face "...there's something else, isn't there?" he questioned as Vixen's face turned grim "Vixen, tell me" "...Frank's making me join the Grey Army tomorrow" Vixen hesitantly told the other boy whose face paled and filled with shock "And he's going to name me the new leader" "And do you want to be?" Corey questioned him as Vixen's gaze shifted off of him. "You can say 'no', Vixen, he doesn't control you" Corey told him "Whatever he's threatening or using to make you agree to this, it doesn't matter-" "She does" Vixen cut him off as Corey's eyes widened a little "...your mum?" he hesitantly asked as Vixen nodded his head "And you" Vixen admitted as Corey sat there, a little speechless. "I-I can survive whatever he's threatening-" "He's going to make me kill you, Core, and... mum's sick" Vixen told Corey, shaking his head a little "You both are the only family I really have" he said whilst Corey's brows knotted "...why is killing me that important?" "Because he thinks it'll save mum" Vixen answered. Corey thought for a bit before speaking again "Then kill me" he told Vixen who looked at him as if he had gone insane "No! why-" "Your mum is more important, Vixen" Corey stated "Become the new Grey Leader, kill me and save your mum, but you have to promise me that you'll be better than your father" he begged.
"Join the other armies, make the Grey Army the 'good guys' again, promise me that" Corey asked as Vixen stared at him in disbelief "I-I can't kill you-" "Then let Frank do it, just promise me that you won't let him control you and not become the same person as him" Corey begged and after a moment of silence, Vixen agreed "O-okay".
Vixen left the room, a grim and saddened expression drawn across his face as Corey's head hung low "Y̸̠̍o̴̹̍u̵̮͒ d̸̺́o̸̩̓ k̶̛͙n̵͌ͅȍ̶̮w̵̲̕ t̷̝͒h̵͙͋ą̴́t̵̩̀ ÿ̵̡́ô̸̤u̴̞̚ c̵̬͑å̶͈n̶̝͒'t ř̴̖ê̷͎w̷̺͠r̷̄͜ĭ̴̻t̷̟̓ë̶̲́ ṣ̷̅o̶̪͊m̸͚͗ě̵͈õ̶̲n̵͈̚e̷̘̋'s s̶̪̓t̶̪͛ơ̶̰r̵̟͝y̸̭̿ b̷͓̈y̵̙͌ g̸̛ͅi̴̺͆v̷̫̈i̷̙̒ň̶̬ğ̷͔ t̴̜͑h̴̪̿ȇ̶͉ḿ̷̞ ṕ̷̠e̶͚̅ŗ̶̒m̸̨̈́i̶̮͂s̵̼̆s̶̺̿i̶̢͑ó̴̥n̵̬̔ ṱ̵̅o̷͈̓ ḵ̷̑i̵̻͗l̴̪̈́l̴̯̃ y̵̤̑õ̴̗u̵̫̓" the boy lifted his head, looking over at the furthest corner to his right to see the shadowy figure, Ethan "The whole thing's not his fault-" "Ì̴̳t̶̲͛'s a̵̰͌b̵̞͠o̷̯͂ü̴͙t̴̛̩ ̵̮͌ṭ̶̽ȯ̴͔ ̷̠̾b̸̺͠e̶͇͂" Ethan said as Corey's eyes narrowed.
