Revealing comprehension stats is the only way for me to get out of this pinch.

 

 

 

"I see, there are also a few other dude that has special stats in the camp though I'm not sure if any of them have the same special stats as you. I remember one of them said his special stats is called tenacity"

 

She explains it.

 

 

 

"Tenacity? What is he doing to get such stats?"

"I remember he said he got it from the achievement called [fearless one] that he achieved by [being the one who beat the unbeatable creature while half death, alone]. He boasted it a lot so almost everyone knows it but not everyone has a gut to do just that thought. Oh, btw the achievement is to beat the unbeatable but it's just an ogre in his case. What about yourself? How did you get it?"

 

 

 

She is quite talkative.

 

 

 

"I don't know, I just learned about status now remember? an ogre? What's that?"

 

I answered and questioned her, to change the topic.

 

 

 

"You don't know ogre? It's the giant monster that is usually 5 or 4 meters tall, looks disgusting, hella scary, and pretty much a cannibal."

 

She explains about ogre. 

 

 

 

"4 meters tall?"

 

I said remembering that nightmare while thinking her description actually sucks except for the height.

 

 

 

"Yeah, have you met one? They're quite brain-dead so you will be fine if you keep quiet if they pass by"

 

She explains some more.

 

 

 

"Anyway, we plan to scout this forest a little bit before going back to our camp want to join in?"

 

She invited me.

 

 

 

Finding a group of survivors is actually my main objective so I gladly accept the offer. But then joining them in their scouting is kinda irksome, to be honest.

 

 

 

"I'll gladly accept your offer to invite me to your camp, but are you sure me joining your scouting is a good idea? Burden such as me in this kind of expedition would only bring us closer to death, you know...."

 

I said trying to wiggle my way out from this scouting thingy. 

 

 

 

"Scared aren't we? It's okay you don't have to fight, why do you think we the scout only consist of two people? It's cause we two are enough"

 

Said her convincingly.

"Y-yes, you don't have to yell you know"

 

Said the teenager named Bima. 

 

 

 

I have nothing else I could do, so I just follow them.

 

 

 

In this forest, the deeper u're bigger the trees are. Now the trees mostly exceed 30 meters.

 

 

 

"Guy's stop"

 

Maya said suddenly.

 

"There are some goblins ahead"

 

She said while readying her small bow.

 

 

 

"Goblins?"

 

I wonder

 

 

 

"Yeah those tiny green creatures, we decided to call them goblins"

 

She explains.

 

 

 

Without much happening she just sniped 3 of them just like that.

 

 

 

"Hey, take up its essence"

 

She said to Bima.

 

 

 

"Yeees"

 

He replies sheepishly.

 

 

 

After looting the goblins. We head out to deeper woods.

 

 

 

"Even though I said we were scouts, we are actually more like hunting squad you know"

 

She said to me proudly.

 

 

 

"I see"

 

I reply meekly since they're actually quite strong though I'm not sure how strong they're. So I need to watch out some more in case a monstrous one shows up like an ogre.

 

 

 

"Gruuaaaak"

 

 

 

Fuck. i am a jinxer am i?

 

 

 

"Let's run while he doesn't notice our presence"

 

I, afraid of the ogre said to them.

 

 

 

"You really scared, eh?"

 

She said to me mockingly.

 

"It's only lone ogre, let's do it bima"

 

She urged her colleague.

 

 

 

"Yes"

 

Said that teenager and then ran towards the ogre.

 

 

 

His body then turned into some kind of metal.

 

 

 

"It's his talent called [activated metals body] that means his body absorbs metallic property, we acquired tungsten easily but too bad things like osmium are not easy things to find. His martial arts skill level is also quite high"

 

She explains his power proudly.

 

 

 

And then I saw that teenage called Bima jump.

 

 

 

Baaam!

 

 

 

That teenage fist goes straight toward the ogre's belly, his fist seems very heavy. He then jumps back and kicks the ogre's side knee.

 

 

 

Baam!

 

 

 

I'm really surprised by the firepower it's definitely inhumane. But what makes me more speechless is that ogre is actually unflinched.

 

 

 

"Help please"

 

Said Bima while tussling with the ogre.

 

 

 

He was actually strong enough to hold up against ogre even though he clearly pushed back little by little.

 

 

 

"Now I got to go too, did you think bow and arrow is all I got?"

 

She asked me playfully. She shows some knives that look like stilettos and sickles that look like crescent-blade patterns which curve more than half a circle, on each of her hands.

 

 

 

She ran towards the side of the ogre and then cut its Achilles heels. Surprised that the ogre falls on one knee. Taking that chance the teenager hit the ogre right on its face.

 

 

 

Baam!

 

 

 

Surprised by the hit on the face the ogre swung its side away hammer fist.

 

 

 

Baaaaaam!

 

 

 

Its fist is almost as big as the teenage torso. The teenager clenched his teeth and held his ground with a sideway defensive posture. He holds his ground without being darted off from the impact. But that hit took a toll on him.

 

 

 

Without realizing Maya climbs the ogre's body and stabs its neck with her stilettos in its neck.

 

 

 

"Guaaaaarrgh!"

 

 

 

Finally feeling endangered the ogre screams. But it's too late the sickle already holds its neck tightly.

 

 

 

"Ha!"

 

 

 

Just like that, it's head cut off.

 

 

 

 

 

"Shit he screams, eat this and take this ugly corpse away. We don't know what might show up because of this ugly beast screams"

 

Said Maya to Bima while tossing the ogre's gem that she took from the ogre's body to him.

 

 

 

"You too, let's go"

 

She urged me too.
