The next morning around dawn I woke up and went to the kitchen-living space. Lil' Greed had made a different breakfast so I didn't get tired of breakfast cakes. I smiled at Lil' Greed and began eating. After I had finished I dressed somewhat casually and somewhat formal. I grabbed my bag and guitar with its case. I went to the kitchen-living space and I was instantly greeted by Cotton, who Lil' Greed had let in for the second time. Lil' Greed entered my bag with the two pages and Cotton and I left my apartment. We made our was to the park.
"Why are we at the park? We have to meet with Queen Julius." Cotton reminded me. I nodded to her words.
"I know, it just doesn't feel like a new day unless I do this in the morning." I informed Cotton of my morning thing. She nodded in understanding. She sat with me while I played the guitar and got requests and just like previous days it repeated for a little bit. I ended really early today though since we do have to get into the castle to search for the stone statue of Esmos. Once I find the statue I need to reverse the spell.
Cotton and I began walking toward the castle made of stone. Cotton was greeted by someone who appeared to be wearing a maid dress. It was slightly dirty though. I followed Cotton into the stone castle. We walked for a few minutes until we came across a throne room. We entered and we were greeted by a woman sitting on the throne while a young man about my age stood beside the throne. Cotton approached the throne.
"Hello, Queen Julius. I came to ask a question." Cotton spoke in a polite manner around the Queen. The Queen looked at Cotton and nodded for her to continue. "The two of us were wonder if there was a stone statue of a person here?" The Queen nodded.
"Yes, there was. The statue is being sold today since people are finally interested in the old thing. It's been here longer than I have." Queen Julius informed us. "Mammon, dear, why don't you show these lovely young girls where the sale will be." The young man walked toward us. He didn't look to enthusiastic about selling the old statue.
"Follow me." He ordered the two of us. Cotton nodded and began following. I only followed because Cotton did. I trust her judgement on these people. I looked in my bag to check on Lil' Greed and he was doing just fine. I threw some snacks in there this time since he gets hungry quickly.
We were following the young man for a few minutes into the city portion of the kingdom. Cities usually make me uncomfortable but since I had a trusty person here who could fight and I have Lil' Greed to protect me. We entered a building and the man guided us to a special room.
"Wait here for about 10 minutes. This room will open in 10 minutes and the statue is the only thing in there." Cotton smiled and nodded. I copied Cotton with a smile but I didn't nod. I glanced at Cotton. Her smiled never faded as the young man disappeared. Cotton checked the area and walked up to the door. She started inputting a code into the door security board. I observed her actions.
"What are you doing?" I whispered to Cotton. "Getting us in there sooner." She responded quietly. She finally finished and she pushed the door open. When I followed her into the room I saw the stone statue sitting on a podium in the center of the room. There was no glass casing around the stone statue.
"Wow, I can't believe we found Esmos." I whispered with joy.
*Bang* I jolted in panic and turned toward the source of the sound. "What are you two doing in here? It's not showing time yet?" The young man walked closer to us. Cotton looked at him and rolled her eyes.
"Can't you see we are busy?" She snapped with the same tone she gave my ex yesterday. I flinched a bit because I could tell she was angry. "I can't have anyone interrupt my hard work." She surprisingly has a hood on all of her dresses. She pulled out her dagger and got ready to fight. "Delilah, you focus on the stone statue. I'll deal with Mammon." I know Cotton wants me to reverse the spell now but there's something I must do first.
I ran to the door and changed the opening viewing time. Then I turned and rushed into the fight that Cotton was having with the young man, who's name is apparently Mammon. "Stop! Both of you!" I yelled. I can't stand fighting when nobody deserves it. "Even if I was to do the thing with the stone statue, I wouldn't be able to focus with you two fighting. So stop or I'll freeze you both in place until I finish." Cotton put her hood down and put away her dagger. Mammon backed up. "Thank you. Now I'll go do this."
"What are you doing to that statue anyway? My mother plans on selling it for a fortune since it's so old." I sighed and looked at the uneducated young man. I rolled my eyes and they turned pink.
"Listen, I'm on a mission right now. I don't have to explain any of this to you." I gave an answer to Mammon. "But if you must know I'm reversing the stone spell. It turns people to stone." He gave me a confused look.
