Various Sufis, especially Sultan Bahu, a famous 17th-century mystic of the Qadiriyya, a Sufi order, advocated this theory. In one of his writings, he wrote,

“Once Allah SWT (God) said to the Prophet Muhammad SAW, I created an Adam before I created your father Prophet Adam AS

Whom I gave a life of thousand years. Then I created fifteen thousand Adams all of whom I gave a life of ten thousand years. After that I created your Adam.”

(Sahih Hadith)

According to that statement, The Pre-Adamic era lasted for 150.001000 years.
