I would have attended college if we had the money, but my grandma is the only family I have and we're able to live off of our earnings and not much else. So here I am in the outskirts of the city. Do I miss going to malls, and doing karaoke? Of course. But I'm not the type to complain about something like that.
What I will complain about is that the only other girl working in the bakery disappeared yesterday. She was a little weird; muttered to herself, ate alone, and her bag was studded in anime merchandise. The type to get bullied, I'd say. I didn't care one way or the other, but it's better than the sausagefest that's usually the case. We talked a few times, and I think I inspired her somewhat because she suddenly dyed her hair blonde like mine, but after that poof, she's gone.
She didn't come to her shift yesterday or today, and everyone's pretending not to notice. I even checked the schedule and her name isn't on the pages.
A girl in a small town struggles to keep everyone she knows together as multiple disappearance cases pile up. Even worse, it seems that only she can remember the ones who disappeared!
