Ms Lin gave her boss a nod and smiled as Guan Yu entered his room. Guan Yu called Amelia and asked her if he could come and visit her after work. Amelia already heard about the news but couldn't care less about what other people were gossiping about now.

Amelia was currently having lunch in the factory cafeteria when the news broke out, and many were so eager to know the woman's true identity. little china tow was packed with alternating small businesses, most of these shop was once a home that was converted to accommodate all the daily necessities of the people living there, little china town was not an exclusive place just for the Chinese, much different race of people are cohabitating with one another, and most of the foreigners who are part of this community accepted a few Chinese tradition and belief.

as they enter from the very entrance of china town archway gate the street was packed with a lot of small stalls and people were buying and selling items from left to right. due to this Guan Yu decided to walk toward the coffee shop his secretary followed him, and most people knew him and greeted him with a wave or welcomed him in the old ways by wushu Baoquan or the Palm hold fist Etiquettes.

he finally saw the old coffee shop as he entered Ramiels waved at Gua Yu this was the first time to meet Ms Lin Siniang so he went down from the dining table chair and walk near her and stood straight and greeted her in Chinese dialect.

Ramiel was delighted to hear that she was also kind, he asked her if he can call her older sister.

she was hesitant to answer right away and looked at her master Guan Yu as he was sitting facing Amelia. when Guan Yu saw her expression he smile back at her with a nod, a sign that he was approving of Ramiels small Request.

so she bows and replies to her answer with a smile. Ramiel held her hand and ask to sit with them, then he ask the waiter to also give her the same food that they are having. the old Chinese man waves back and answers the boy with a loud

"ok ! no problem!"

Ms Lin was socially shocked to see his boss change his personality when he saw him face to face with Amelia, she was working beside him for seven years now, and his cold calculating demeanor was replaced by a warm reassuring nature, Ramiel was sitting beside his mother she was staring at Ms Lin Siniang for she was sitting end of the table next to him, he asks her why was she so serious and so stiff and added doesn't she like being with them. she softly said that she was still working at that particular moment.

Ramiel could not understand what she meant by still working so he politely excused himself and went down from his chair and circled and went shop countertop where the old Chinese cook was preparing the ordered food and gently tug his apron and told him a small request as Ramiel was whispering in his ear the old man looked at Ms Lin and said ok!

at the corner of Ms Lin eye she saw what happen and it gave her goosebumps, for a split second she felt like a car was about to hit her, this made her more inflexible she wasn't moving at all cold sweats are now running down her cheeks as the old man walked near her and gently place a big bowl, the pressure was too much she was about to lose composure when Ramiel spoke this Chinese proverb.

"Yī dùn fàn bù huì ràng nǚrén biàn pàng."

"One meal won't make a fat woman."

verybody sitting at the table heard this and started to smile, Ramiel gave Ms. Lin Siniang chopsticks and gave her a big smile. even the old Chinese cook told her to eat before the soup gets cold. Guan Yu spoke to Ms. Lin Siniang

"you are my family's guest please enjoy your time here and eat."

Ms Lin Siniang could finally breathe and smiled back at Ramiel and took the chopsticks and split them in half and started eating. Ramiel went back to sit and also started to eat. Amelia wipe some soup on Ramiels lips and continued talking to Guan Yu,

Guan Yu would push the dumpling bamboo steamer with its last remaining dumpling to the edge of the table right in between his secretary Ms Lin Siniang and Ramiel who were still eating, the two looked at each other with a long pause like a tiger ready to pounce, and the two started a chopstick fight to have the final dumpling for themselves, it was so intense that they started to quietly giggle on what they are seeing. Amelia and Guan Yu were holding their laughter as the battle for the last dumpling wage on.

Ms Lin Siniang was trash-talking Ramiel which made everybody giggle more, Mrs. Mao was already holding her belly because of all the laughing. Mr Tang and Amelia were already blushing red, Guan Yu was holding all his laughter by holding his mouth.

"you should be offering me this dumpling because I am your older sister right?"

"how can you be so cruel to your sister, give me the dumpling!"

Ramiel responded by saying another proverb

"A woman's greed is like a snake that wants to swallow an elephant."

then Ms Lin Siniang finally pick up the last dumpling and stood up and gave out a roar with her eyes closed, after a few seconds when she heard clapping sounds she knew this was an embarrassing situation. she opened her eyes and saw everyone was clapping even Guan Yu. she was so ashamed to what she just did and sat down with her head down when Ramiel said to her

"you won sister today. but tomorrow is another day. he he he he!"

and Ramiel hug her and kissed he on the cheek, Lin Siniang's face turned red as she place the dumpling in Ramiels bowl Guan Yu congratulated her. even Mr and Mrs Liu Chen were happy with the outcome. Amelia spoke to her son as soon she was finished Ramiel took a clean spoon and cut the dumpling in half and used a fork to skewer it and gave it to his older sister.

Ms Lin Siniang took the half dumpling and eat it, that afternoon was once again filled with laughter Ramiel and Lin Siniang became close and even shared stories, and even ask her if she can visit him at home so they can play together. Ramiel would even tease Guan Yu about the way h looked at his mother he even told him he won't get mad if her mom would get a divorce and got re-married to Guan Yu.

Guan Yu was drinking tea when Ramiel openly told him, he almost spits out his tea with the embarrassment this made Amelia blush and took a napkin and wipe the spilt tea on his lower lip. this move made the Ramiel teasing worst. he took her mother's other hand and reach Guan Yu's hand and made them hold their hands together and said a silly remark that he was giving him his blessing.

Mr Tang started to laugh again and Mrs Mao went to grab Ramiel and told him it was an inappropriate thing to say. he replies why grandma I can see they both like each other. Besides Mr.Tang, everyone became silent and didn't even utter a sound.

Mr Tang stood up right after Mrs Mao placed Ramiel between them. the boy was so confused about what he did wrong but as soon as Mr Tang spoke the awkward silence finally ended. and said this

"Fate brings together those that are a thousand miles apart." For the romantic soul, this love proverb says that distance cannot separate two souls who are meant to be together. Destiny has its way to bring two people together!"

"a toast to those who found true destiny !!"

everybody raises their soft drink bottles and made a cheer.

with this toast, Guan Yu and Amelia unconsciously stared at each and gave out a weird vibe. everybody notice this and decided to just ignore it and continue what they were doing. after a few more hours they all went home Ramiel saw Guan Yu holding her mom's hand as they stood up together and walk to the shop exit. he was about to say something when Mr Tang lean down and tap Ramiel when he saw that Mr Tang was giving a hush sign, Ramiel knew what it means and just let them be. because saw her mother was Happy.

Ramiel didn't know that the two were already exchanging text messages and calls for six days. and a deep connection did eventually blossom, she felt safe and secure when she touch Guan Yu's hand for the first time at the coffee shop. even Guan Yu he felt different the very first day when he saw Amelia she was always on his mind, and he felt that he can't stand a moment not seeing or hearing her voice. this was the reason why he was suddenly changing.
