DISCLAIMER: I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT COURT, IT'S ALL MADE UP. IT'S JUST FOR THE STORY!!
Ash is put in a cell for now. It was night, he needed some sleep, but he couldn't, he felt something was wrong. He knew this day would come, he was preparing it for his whole life. But there is something still missing, something he couldn’t find.
What is it?
It's painful.
Ash stopped thinking, he just wants silence now.
He woke up the next morning with the TV on outside the cell, it's just the news. Boring old news.
'I wonder what time I will meet Chen again.' He thought to himself.
It's only day 2 of being caught and it already hurts, heart and body. Today, Ash was lucky to meet Yu Chen earlier.
"Why is this the case in 3 days? Why not longer?" Ash asked Yu Chen.
"Because you have killed a huge number of people, and they mostly want you to end up in jail for it, or even execution." Yu Chen said.
"But I kill bad people, doesn't that make me a bit good?" Ash asked.
"Yes…but they're gonna say you are going to be addicted to killing if you keep doing it." Yu Chen answered.
"Did you forget the news? My killing spree had stopped for 5 months." Ash said.
"I don't watch the news much," Yu Chen tried to give a smile. "We still have to continue, for now it's easy but later you are going to have to fight for it."
"Okay," Ash and Yu Chen continued their thing and everything was repeated till the court day.
Ash was walking in with 2 police officers while in handcuffs. He was allowed to sit next to Yu Chen, and the Yau family was there too.
The head judge came in, she sat down and there was silence. She read the report that Yu Chen had made.
"So, Ash Chan. You are a hitman, is that correct?"
"Yes, it is." Ash replied.
"And you have taken out 74 people. They all happened to be perpetrators, is it true?" The judge asked.
"Yes." Ash replied.
"Why did you do it?"
"When I was younger I was almost killed by those people, luckily someone was there to save me. After that day, I didn't think those people should be punished."
"You realised you have killed 74 people right?"
"Yes, I have. I found those people in a day that police couldn't even find for months."
"I want this to be short, I have already decided on your sentence."
Ash was holding it in, preparing himself.
"I am just giving you a year."
Ash looked up at the judge.
"You have done good and bad, since the document said you could control your emotions on killing, I'm just giving you a year. And it will depend on your behaviour too." The judge stood up and left.
Ash looked at Yu Chen, "Was that supposed to happen?"
"No, I don't think so." Yu Chen replied. The police and Ash walked out after that and his new life came. Ash turned back his head to look at Owen, he was staring right back.
Ash smiled a small one at Owen, trying to tell him he will be fine. Owen smiled back, telling him "I'll wait for you."
Ash walked away, Owen hugged his grandmother.
"Don't worry, Ash will be let out if he is on his best behaviour." Grandma patted Owen’s head.
"Yeah, I guess you are right." Owen sighed.
"Are you sure you still love that guy?" Yu Chen asked.
"I don't know now," Owen stood up. "Well, let's go home."
Owen went back home, Ash was sent to jail.
They lived their lives, and nothing could stop it. Owen went back to his normal days while Ash worked and listened to the guard.
Both living different lives, the day Ash kept thinking of came and it's going to end. He hopes.
Owen just stayed home and worked, thinking about the moments he had with Ash. Time flew by fast and it's already been 9 months, just another 3 more months.
