Good news, I got a lead on finding you! And it's only been… well I don't know actually. I always was bad at keeping track of these sorts of things. But when I find you, you can probably tell me. You always did have a head for this stuff. 

   I found the blacksmith's sister. She and her family are farmers. Right now it's mostly potatoes and hens, but if you can be really self sufficient, it's better'n most are doing.

   She was glad to hear from him, I got invited to dinner. Sure are some nice people out here. I dunno what I was expecting, but this is pretty friendly for the brink of the end of the world. I guess we're all in this together, so what else are we gonna do?

   It's probably not really the end of the world, but who knows? Sure felt like it awhile back. I hope I get to see you soon.
