Hey, do you know newspapers are a thing out here? I mean, they're called Broadsides instead, but they're here. They're based on this thing, back when people first started using the printing press, called broadside ballads. Basically a cheap, one paper newspaper with stuff like news or stories or poetry or such. Oh, and images. They used to make wood carvings and press ink on them to get drawings on the paper.
I realize I just described ink stamps, but bear with me, I've had a long day.
Actually, I think… well I don't know how these are getting made. Or what they cost. I found an old one in a ditch, it's not half bad actually. There's a logo of an owl in the corner, with the word BROADSIDES at the top. There's a weekly funny limerick, news about a new barn and a dance to celebrate building it, warnings about a catamount, and an ad for pots and pans.
I wonder if I could take an ad out to find you.
No, the paper does not actually call mountain lions, catamounts. But be honest here, it's a great name, it needs to make a comeback.
Hope the paper comes wherever you live.
