Not much happened during the day, my family and I were just hanging out on the morning of the transmigration, Malika set the rules for the travel even though she couldn’t enforce them “One: if you are going to drink be responsible don’t be like Talo or dad” they looked indignified with a mug of mead on their hands “okay that one is fair” I replayed “two: eat well, and rest well I’m serious, at least seven hours of sleep and vegetables and fruits” I snaped my finger and pretend to be frustrated “Deng it and I though I was just going to eat cake and lard” “lastly… girls” “Malika!!!” that caught the attention of everyone on the table “What! You are going to be living by yourself things could get steamy and…” “Please either stop or knock me out, listen I’m going to be living with Higen, if I ever bring anyone home, I think that they would be more interested in the piece of biff over there than in me.”

I pointed to his table in the dining hall, where he was sitting with his grandpa and some other older knights, his mom did not even show herself to the event I guess they are not on good terms, “he seems lonely, right Kelvin?” his twin nodded “yeah, he is not smiling lake yesterday, or goofing around” “sometimes is difficult to be yourself when everyone is looking at you kids, he will get better after the transmigration” dad said and was about to continue his meal “Malika is right, I don’t want grandchildren just yet, so be smart about it” I covered my face with my hands “fine, now everyone stop with my intimate life!!!” I heard the chuckle of the queen behind me.

“Good morning Voloro family, is nice to see you came to the event, Callaghan it is nice to meet your kids” “Rosaria ever such a stunning sight, Talo close your mouth” he had to physically close his mouth “Well of curse I get that a lot, I’m sorry to cut this short but I need to talk to Ozwald and Higen before the transmigration” I stood up, and waved to my family as we went to pick Higen up, he saw us his mood improved and he shortly followed us.

“Thanks for saving me, some of my Grandfather´s friends were a little too ready to marry me off to their granddaughters” I put an offended face “Are you meaning to tell me I’m not going to your wedding in five minutes?” he looked more like himself and laughed “I will not attend any wedding without you” “you guys are sweet together kids, I’m glad you are pairing up” we forgot that Queen Rosaria was within earshot of us “sorry…” “my deepest apologies my queen…”

We ended up in her office, she motioned for us to sit in the chairs while she took her place behind her big wooden desk, “I will be explaining what is going to happen after the transmigration, Higen knows generally but I will be re-explaining for Ozwald´s sake” I nodded, “in a round two hours the portal to the human realm will open, you will arrive at Forest Lake High, there you will be taking classes like regular high schoolers, and when a titan attacks, you are to defeat it by force”  I raised my hand to ask a question “yes Ozwald?”  “Why do we have to go to school?”

“A fair question, would you reject the opportunity of learning from another culture right where the action happens?” she has a point I actually stopped going to my school, it was difficult to explain why I have burn marks on my back, and many people did no apricated me, so I just stop going, “I can’t wait!” Higen said happily “I have never gone to school with other people I was home-schooled, and I get to go with my best friend.”

“Your headmistress will show you to the infirmary for a general checkup and to give you identifications of the human realm, alongside, a cellular phone for your usage, remember humans don’t know about the existence of titans or our realm keep it a secret understood?” we nodded, the queen moved in front of her desk to give us one final look, “kids please be careful honestly if I had the chose I would send older knights and sorcerers but the transmigration only allows people around your age, use this experience to learn as much as you can, lastly Ozwald when you learn to use the staff properly you might be able to open a temporary portal under the night of the new moon, you could be able to see your family from time to time” that is good and also put some pressure on my shoulders to learn to master the staff, in a blink of an eye the time passed and soon me and Higen were sent to the other side of the portal, I was nervous but in a way, I also fell ready for the challenge.

After the blinding light passed Higen and I were standing on the rooftop of a building, it was nighttime, and the full moon was hanging above us, “Higen are you holding my hand?” I felt the fabric on his gloves tight around my hand, “I didn’t want us to be separated or something… plus I was a tad bit nervous” I squished his hand too “Thanks, I was nervous as well” We heard the clicking of heels coming from the door behind us, I raised my hand to be ready for a brawl and Higen pulled out his short sword form his gloves “please put your weapons… and fists away gentlemen I’m the headmistress of this establishment” a blonde woman in a suit appears on the frame of the door, “it’s nice to see you two came safety, my name is Lulu Aster, please follow me to the infirmary, do you need help with that box?” she asked, we didn’t bring many things mostly trinkets to have on wherever we were going to be staying, Higen picked the box from the ground and we started to follow Lulu down the stairs.

“what are those?” as we were walking in the hallway, on the ceiling were weird glass tubes that produced some light, “this is the best part of this job,” Lulu said, “those are light bulbs they use electricity to shine light, we don’t use candles or luminescent stones like in Elysium” I didn’t know what electricity was but it seemed powerful, we kept asking questions about the building until we arrived at the infirmary, the doctor asked us to take a sit while he prepared some of his instruments.

“alright lads I’m going to take a blood sample to start working on your medical record from this realm, I also need to know if you have any allergies to food or any illnesses,” the doctor said as he pulled a few pieces of paper into a slab of wood, “I don’t really get sick often and I can eat almost anything that is not rotten” Higen answered, “I can see that big guy, how about you the tan one?” “I sometimes get these head-splitting headaches, I take medicine for it.”

He took some notes on my file “You seem to have a frame of migraines, in this realm they are a little bit common, there is no cure but we also keep it under control with medicine, after your blood test result I´ll see if you are not allergic to the medicine, come to my office on Monday to pick them up, so who is going first?” he pulled out a syringe and some tiny flasks for the blood test, Higen took off his arm guard form his left hand and rolled his sleeve, the doctor proceeded to jab the needle on his arm, he didn’t even flinch when the needle pierced him, once the doctor was over he looked at me to take my blood, I remembered “oh just take it from the side” he walked to my left arm and pinched me with a new needle the staff came out of my chest to the surprise of the doctor.

“You know as a doctor I see all sorts of weird things coming out of my patients, I for some reason didn’t expect a staff to be one of them” Lulu came closer “Is that the staff of Eon?” I nodded “Yeah sorry I’m not sure on how to not make it come out when my blood is drawn” The doctor storage the blood for its analysis in a metallic box he had in his office, he also brought two cookies from a box and give each of us one, “oh before I forget, Knight, sorcerer, could you be so kind to tell me your names,” Lulu asked, I remembered we didn’t introduce ourselves, “my name is Oswald Voloro nice to meet you” I waved my hand “Higen Banna, of the Banna house, it is an honor to be working with you miss Lulu”

“Ozwald your clothing is fine if anything is a little outdated” But this is brand new I just bought it the other day, probably here they dress differently, they are dressed like nobles in fancy clothes after all, “Higen you need to lose the armor and the cape” Lulu informed Higen, “can you explain farther please Miss Lulu” he requested “in this place a cape is only used for the members of royalty of some countries, I understand that you are a noble but the truth of the matter is that people won’t react well to the cape, as for the armor is dated nobody uses them”

He took them off in a moment but he held on to the cape, “I humbly request to keep my cape please it´s a family heirloom” “Of course you can keep it in your apartment along with the armor, we are going there next so you can get into some clothes form this place” I patted him on the back I know how much that cape meant for him “come on I´ll help you with your armor big guy” I grabbed his leg and arm guard he pouted “I like my cape I don’t think is weird, am I weird Ozwald?” I blinked and really thought about my answer “… you are taking your time with that one hugh.” “no, no, of course you are not weird Mr. Human realm wuiii” I spanned in place as he did he shoved me forward “okay, okay you are very normal sometimes” we laughed as we continued following Lulu.

She guided us to a building, tall and with multiple windows, it was a short walk from the school building, “this is an apartment complex, on it students live, we accommodated you on the top floor, and your apartment is equipped with all the basic necessities of the human realm, we also leave clothes from this realm on the living room for you to try on and choose what you want to keep, Higen´s ears pricked up at the words “choose” “I… I can choose by myself?” he asked, Lulu nodded “yeah that’s the thing about clothes you pick what you like here” “I have never picked my own clothes; this is such a wonderful occasion!!!” he is like a kid that got a new toy.

“wow… no way” The apartment was big, it had a big black mirror against a wall, a sofa, and the “kitchen” as Lulu put it instead of a stone oven it was metallic and didn’t use coal, the “burners” used gas, she taught us how to properly use them, she hit a button on the wall and the room dimmed or lighted depending on its position, the clothes she mentions were on racks on the “living room,” Higen asked what does the room eat but she explained that is not living it’s just a name, she showed us the bathroom, it had a metallic faucet that filled the bathtub by itself.

“alight and this are your rooms” There were two doors one meant for Higen and the other one for me, they were quite bland, “I’m going to give you your first mission that does not involve the Titans,” she said, we moved in closer to her “I’m going to give you this” she produced a small card it was hard and cold to the touch, “this card has a lot of money on it” I turned it around several times, it didn’t look too big how can it hold coins “how do you put coins in it, does it devours it?” she laughed “no, no, you just pass it and the money is magically given to the store's owners” that can’t be, this place is so confusing sometimes, she also pulled two cellular phones form a box, “I want you to go tomorrow to the mall, t is a place like a market but bigger, and you are going to buy things to decorate your rooms, I’m going to show you how to use your cellphones to pull a map.”

“Are we sure this is not sorcery?” Higen asked, Lulu said that we could tap on the glass and do certain actions, and she showed us an illustration with a map “If you tap on this “app” it will display a map of your current location” she taped more into, “see this red line here? It’s the apartment address, at the start, and the mall is a half an hour walk from here, so please familiarize yourself with them” Higen was looking at a little stone that was dangling for his cellphone “Is this a resonance stone?” he asked “that is correct, some of your predecessors leave them since you too haven’t used a cellphone before you can use them to communicate with one another until you learn or if it’s an emergency”

“What is this, “Tartarus” app?” I asked, the phone had some icons but one that had the logo of Elysium picked my interest, “glad you asked Ozwald, if you press it, you will be notified of any titan activity, in addition, it will guide you to their labyrinth, for now, they shouldn’t be able to cross to this side, the transmigration has the side effect of shutting down the openings of rifts, the office at Tartarus inferred that you have one or two weeks before one appears it does another thing”
