They had arrived.

Who knows, mabye Marcy's friends are there, or someone who knows how to gat Kai out of here!

An entire village's worth of people!

He could hardly believe his eyes!

But alas, the more they explored, the more empty houses they found themselves gazing into.

It seemed as if they'd stumbled upon a ghost town.

Marcy, ever the optimist, still had hope someone would be here. 

Even if even she couldn't hide the disappointment in her voice.

Something out of the corner of Kai's eye.

He turned to the forest.

And there it was.

Or rather, they were.

Four masked, cloaked figures stepping out from the dappled darkness.

One quadrupedal dragon in a grinning red mask,

One somewhat short figure in a horned green mask,

One slightly taller figure in a pink lion mask,

And one tall to normal height figure in a blue wolf mask.

The latter of the four looking...

Scared. Sad, happy, but mostly scared.
