If the Adinerados had just agreed to my request, we wouldn't be stuck in this long trial.
"Can I speak first, Your Majesty?"
"Yes, go ahead, Second Prince."
"Your Majesty, I asked Alfonso nicely yesterday to cancel the engagement. I wanted to keep this private because cheating and disloyalty to the crown were involved. But he said no. I even wrote a letter to the Duke, saying I'd take responsibility even though I was wronged, but got no reply. My question is, why did you wait until the Emperor called you to the trial? We could've fixed this privately yesterday, right?"
In simple words, my statement meant, "You're disrespecting the crown. Do you think we're just for entertainment?"
"Your Highness, you've accused me based on rumors with no proof."
Alfonso seemed calm, not showing any guilt. That's just how he is, using people to the max and then discarding them.
Suddenly, Isabella interrupted, "I don't get why I'm accused. I was never disloyal to the Crown Prince. Your accusation is too much, Your Highness, the Second Prince."
She was as rude as in the novel, where she betrayed the family's trust by stealing business ideas and manipulating high society. After I send her to the lost city, she’ll definitely wish to live in the capital city as a commoner.
"How sure are you about your statements, Isabella? Didn't you mock the Imperial family in front of other noble ladies in the Salon?"
"That's what I'm saying, Your Highness, the Second Prince. Aren't you going too far in framing us? Clearly, you don't know anything."
Lord, forgive me, but I feel like I'm about to explode again. Why am I so hot-headed?
"Esteban, Captain Gaston, please show the evidence to His Majesty the Emperor and Pope Alon."
Alfonso and Isabella maintained their confidence, while Duke Adinerado smirked dismissively, treating our gathered evidence as if it were child's play. Initially, I instructed Esteban and Gaston to discreetly place magic recording stones in the hideout spots frequented by Alfonso and Isabella. I made sure these stones were positioned where the couple would easily notice them. They weren't foolish enough to display their public affections in front of these stones. Recording magic stones required a device to play the video, making it impossible for anyone to immediately see the contents. This specific device was housed in the Ministry of Investigation, managed by the House of Sabiduria (House of Scholars). Given the House of Sabiduria's influence as one of the powerful houses in the empire, they likely allowed the Adinerados to view the magic stone contents first. However, they overlooked a crucial detail—I could capture events using my powers by sending butterflies to Alfonso and Isabella.
"Can I ask the Ministry of Investigation to play the recording magic stone?"
"Of course, Your Majesty."
As the recording stone played, the court fell into shocked silence. The smiles on the Adinerados and Isabella's faces faded as the intense video of their intimate encounter unfolded. Duke Adinerado, disturbed, wanted it to stop, but Pope Alon intervened.
"That's not the only evidence, Your Majesty. There are five more recording stones, if you permit."
I looked at Isabella and pouted to taunt her. The additional evidence revealed meetings in a café, hand-holding, Isabella speaking ill of Crown Prince Gavino, and numerous intimate moments. Duke Adinerado realized that the Ducal houses and other nobility siding with him would now turn against him, exploiting this opportunity to abandon him. The irrelevancy he felt was palpable.
