The sun rose over the town of Anslo, Spirit was already awake and walking down the stairs, down the halls, and into the courtyard. He met Baror who was already in his armor. Baror stood near the gates and greeted Spirit. The sky was a pretty pink, orange, and purple ombre and the stone wall cast a long dark blue shadow over the greenish-blue moat. Baror leaned up against the wooden gates of the castle walls as spirit walked across the moat to him.
Baror’s armor was made of iron and chainmail. An Iron chest plate with an orange tunic under it with chainmail above the tunic. He had Iron shoulder plates, arm, and leg armor. He wore big knee-length iron boots with orange accents. The morning sun reflected off of his armor and glowed.
“Well, are you ready for your first day as a warrior,” Baror said.
“I guess so,” Said Spirit.
“Well then let's go,” Baror said as he patted Spirit’s back and they headed off, “Don’t worry we will probably just do some simple exercises today, I’ll introduce you to our roommates Afkarr and Wolfgang, they are the best guys you’ll ever meet there and we go way back,”
They walked down the cobblestone streets of Anslo and passed by the people who were just waking up for the day. They walked to the outskirts of the city and then they arrived at the base. The base was guarded by a big wall made of wood logs carved to be spear-like at the top and on the inside were many warriors and others who worked at the base. So many people were walking about Spirit felt congested and that he would lose Baror. There was one mess haul and about 50 small one-room cabins.
“Here is our cabin, cabin number 3,” Baror said as he led Spirit into the cabin where 2 young men stood and a set of armor was placed on one of the beds, “Spirit this is Afkarr and this is Wolfgang,”.
“Hey Spirit, Baror told me a lot about you,” Afkarr said, Afkarr was a man who had medium black hair, and dark green eyes that were the color of pine needles, he wore the metallic armor of the warriors.
“Welcome to cabin three Spirit,” Wolfgang said, he had dark blue eyes that looked like the deepest and most turbulent parts of the North Sea and long black hair that went down to his shoulders and intertwined like long black vines, “ Your armor is over there, we will be leaving for some archery in about an hour,”.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you both,” Spirit said as he shook both of their hands and got his stuff situated near his bed. The bed was wooden with a single pillow and a small quilt, it was the bottom bunk of a bunk bed he would be sharing with Baror.
Then Spirit got into his set of armour and the four both spent the remaining hour talking and joking around amongst each other.
“ So crazy while I was on a mission up north I saw the biggest sea dragon I have ever seen, ever,” Baror said, “ It was like 3 planets long and had big sharp teeth,”.
“ If it was 3 earths long it would not fit on earth,” Afkarr said.
“Not actually but close”
Everyone in the cabin chucked then their chuckle turned into a roar of laughter as the sounds of their joyous banter echoed through the complex.
