Landon and Yurich were outside of the sanctuary in the cavern with their eyes gazing up at the cavern’s ceiling. They teleport out of the cavern and on top of the surface inside an abandoned building in Momo, Elienta. They walk out of the dilapidated building and onto a towering hill looking at the gloomy environment of the once thriving city. Yurich looks at the state of Momo which caused his demeanor to change to being distraught. Landon puts his hand on Yurich’s shoulder to comfort him.
“I know looking at this is a lot to take in, but we’ll get our lands back, Yurich.” He reassures him.
Yurich looks at him with a gentle and certain smile. “Starting with yours. Let us get started.”
Both men raised their hands to the sky.
“Buraito!”
Landon summons a katana out of thin air into his hand.
“Momoku!”
Yurich summons a pair of daggers into his hands.
With weapons in hand, they walk towards the hill’s edge and look at each other.
“I guess I’m calling the ride?” Landon asks.
“Well, this is your land we’re about to liberate. So, summon him.” Yurich replies. “I’m sure he’s ready to have some fun.”
With that answer, Landon smirks and jumps off the hill with Yurich right behind him.
“Nahtaivel!”
Landon summons an enormous, bronzed dragon catching them both and soaring into the sky as it roars proudly.
“We’re taking back what is ours, Naht!” Landon states. “To Oreads Temple!”
Nahtaivel roars and flies in the direction of Oreads.
. . . . .
In Oreads, Kabu, Hanchia, and their band of bandits arrive in Aito, Oreads and were close to territory line with the temple in sight.
“There it is.” Kabu comments.
“Great.” Hanchia responds. “With nothing in our way, besides those annoying Oreadians, it seems this will be an easy mission. It looks like there’s no sign of Kai, so perhaps I’ll take your word this time. I just hope no one is in that temple, because I don’t feel like getting my hands dirty.”
“If there anybody in the temple, we can attempt to persuade them to join us, or they can be killed by us. And why don’t you want to get your hands dirty? Are you becoming lazy now?”
“I don’t want to do too much work, okay? It tires me out.”
Kabu scoffs. “You are lazy. From you getting caught in Bura, to keeping Kai under control. I should talk to Queen Yenish about your incompetence.”
Hanchia glares at Kabu. “Child, you are talking out of the side of your neck. I remembered that you had orders to recruit more bandits to join our cause, and Raijin had to pick up your slack five separate times! So please, “Leader”, don’t start.”
The two decide to stay quiet as they continue to walk.
. . .
Close to the castle while in the sky, Landon looks down below and sees dozens of bandits being led by Kabu and Hanchia.
“Kabu and Hanchia are here with a little army.” He informs Yurich.
Yurich looks down at the group and smiles. “I’ll make sure to give them gifts when we reach the temple.”
. .
Kabu looks up at the sky and sees Landon’s dragon flying in the direction of the temple, making him growl angrily and look at Hanchia and his bandits.
“All of you, pick up the pace!” He commands. The enemy is reaching the temple!”
Kabu teleports himself and the bandits closer to the temple, leaving Hanchia behind. Hanchia grumbles in annoyance.
“Fine!” She speaks sternly to herself. “It looks like I have no choice but to get my hands dirty then.”
She opens a large pouch connected to her hip holster that contains water. With her hands, the water forms into a sphere as it flows out the pouch. She raises her hands to the sky with the water sphere following. Hanchia moves her hands in a circular motion; making the water flatten as a large portal.
“Mizuchi!”
The water forms into an aquatic dragon, forming out of the portal, and soaring into the sky with Hanchia holding onto Mizuchi’s tail. Mizuchi flicks his tail up making Hanchia fly into the air. She flips herself upright and mounts onto Mizuchi.
“To Oreads Temple!” She commands.
Mizuchi begins flying in the direction of the temple.
. .
Arriving at the temple’s vicinity, Landon and Yurich dismount Nahtaivel and walk to the massive temple’s stone doors. Before Landon could open the doors, an arrow flew between the two, embedding itself in the door. They look behind and see Kabu and his men with their weapons drawn from afar in the courtyard. Kabu laughs sinisterly when he sees Landon and Yurich.
“So,” Kabu shouts. “The former Safekeep of Light and former Safekeep of Life are here to reclaim Oreads Temple!”
“It’s being reclaimed by its rightful leader!” Landon retorts sternly. “You, Kabu, are not one of them.”
“Also, don’t you worry, Kabu.” Yurich speaks with a smile. “Your land is next. I’ve foreseen it.”
“Oh. Is that so? You better hope your “Queen” lives to see that day!”
Kabu takes out his sword from his holster and points it at the pair. “ATTACK!”
The bandits charge at Landon and Yurich. Hanchia shows up behind Kabu with Mizuchi. Hanchia dismounts Mizuchi and stands next to Kabu and looks at the two from afar. A sadistic smile forms on Hanchia’s face as she pets her dragon.
“Take care of them for me, Mizi.” She commands.
Mizuchi screeches and charges at Landon and Yurich in its line of sight.
. .
As Landon and Yurich strike down many bandits that attempted to attack them, Landon instantly sees Mizuchi heading towards him and Yurich; prompting him to look at Nahtaivel.
“Naht!” He calls. “Keep that thing away from us!”
Nahtaivel looks to Mizuchi and roars ferociously and charges at the water dragon, blocking the creature’s way. Unable to see little or no progress, Yurich looks at Landon.
“Landon!” He calls getting his attention. “Get into the temple and reclaim it! I’ll be alright out here!”
Hearing his words, Landon starts to open the doors, until a couple of bandits try to attack him with blades. Landon blocks their attacks with his katana, pushes them back. A third bandit comes to attack from behind with a dagger, but Landon moves out of its trajectory, grabs the bandit by his cape, and slams him into the stone door, knocking him unconscious. With his weapon in his right hand, the first two bandits attempt to strike Landon again, but he parries them. Now vulnerable, Landon slashes one across their abdomen and impales the other, shifting the blade inside, and pulling it out with blood spilling out after. With three of the bandits down, Landon looks at Yurich along with several bandits coming towards him.
“You sure you’ll be alright out here?!” He asks aloud.
Before Yurich could answer, he gets surrounded by four more bandits.
“Don’t you think it’s pathetic for an elven to betray their own brethren?!” One of the bandits asked him.
Yurich snickers. “You think an ingrate like you is qualified to ask me that? The hypocrisy is such a sight to see, coming from murderers, such as yourselves.”
Now triggered, two of the bandits rush to attack him with their swords, but Yurich flips over them and elbows one of them in the face, and kicks the other hard in the leg, making him fall to his knees. With his daggers, Yurich slashes the first one across the chest and the kneeled one in the neck, making them fall to the ground and bleed out. The other two with swords attack Yurich from both sides. Yurich jumped high in the air making them miss. Facing the bandits midair, he puts his hands together making a symbol.
“Raito!”
Yurich summons lightning that strikes the two bandits, scorching and incapacitating them. Yurich lands safely on the ground and looks to Landon with a smirk. “Does that answer your question?”
The two then turn to the courtyard and see Kabu and Hanchia glaring at them. Landon looks at Yurich again with a concerned look.
“Landon don’t worry. I got this.” Yurich insists sternly. “Get in the temple and reclaim her.”
Landon decides not to object. “Okay. But Naht stays with you.”
“Fine with me.”
Landon quickly opens the doors and goes inside the temple. Kabu goes to follow Landon as he teleports inside the temple to chase after him.
“Damn!” Yurich curses under his breath.
Yurich then sees Hanchia walking up the stairs. The moment the two lock eyes, Hanchia laughs joyously.
“Oh, Yurich! It’s so nice to see you again.” Hanchia speaks gleefully.
“Hm. I wish to say the same to you, Hanchia, but I can’t. You understand.” Yurich retorts sarcastically.
“Aw, that hurts, Yuri. After all the things we’ve been through? The battles we fought together?”
“Due to your toxic nature and being a pawn to the dictator that everyone around Elem despises because of her reign, what do you think?”
Hanchia’s smile fades as she growls quietly at his response. “You really think I would serve under an inexperienced teenage girl with the help of her mommy and daddy? Or serve under a woman that has influential power and can do anything she wants?”
“Woman, you cannot be serious. Yenish is not the rightful queen and you have become mental. You worship the woman that killed her parents! You truly think that she can’t make her own decisions?! This is her decision!”
“Oh. Really?”
“Yes. Also, you couldn’t sound any more unfit to be the Safekeep of Water. The way you talk about Yenish makes you sound… psycho.”
Hanchia growls angrily. “You… question my reasons? Am I… a joke to you? I’ll give you something to joke about, old friend!”
She raises her hand and turns to Mizuchi.
“Mizuchi! Duplicate!” She commands.
During Mizuchi fight with Nahtaivel, the water dragon splits itself in half, making a copy. The 2nd Mizuchi flies next to Hanchia.
“Attack him!” Hanchia commands, pointing at Yurich.
The copy charges at Yurich while Yurich puts his hands together with electricity forming around him.
“Pamo!”
Lightning strikes the ground in front of Yurich and stops the Mizuchi copy. The lightning forms into a golden lightning bird; the same size as the copy.
“Take him on, Pamo!” Yurich commands.
Pamo screeches out loud and fires lightning at the Mizuchi copy. Through Yurich’s peripheral, Hanchia charges at him with her rapier. She attempts to strike him, but she is blocked by his daggers. They struggle to force the other into submission.
“You know what I find sick about your twisted loyalty?” Yurich asks.
“What is that?” Hanchia responds with gritting teeth.
“What you did in Bura. Killing the innocent people there because of your twisted urge. You thought we would tolerate that? That’s why Oma is the Safekeep. You’ve become a puppet to that harlot! And I promise you. We. Will. End it!”
Hanchia growls out of frustration and pushes Yurich away from her by several feet.
