Inside of Olivers room, it was quite messy, with used clothes piled up on the floor by the end of the bed, because he was too lazy to take it to the laundry hamper in the bathroom. His bed, to his right, wasn’t made and on the desk by the window, was an empty bottle of rum standing and a full ashtray, and he had left-over pizza boxes on his tiny coffee table in the middle of the room. Rolled up tissues were lying next to his trash can, as if he had aimed for it but missed, when he threw them. He wasn’t normally ashamed of how dirty his room was, but for some reason he felt slightly embarrassed as he remembered how clean and nice Caspers room was.

“Somehow your room look like how I imagined it,” Casper said as he entered the room, looking at the different band posters on the walls, the CD’s (yes CD's is still a thing) and Blu-rays on a shelf, the different random decoration placed here and there and the tissue box on the bed. He picked it up, looked at Oliver with a raised eyebrow but grinned amused. Oliver rolled his eyes and took it out of his hand, placing it on the bedside table along with the bag of peas.

“So, find something to claim as your prize?” Oliver asked, sarcastically as he sat crossed legged on the bed, watching Casper walk around the room.

Casper shrugged, “not yet,” he replied, picking up the empty bottle and shook it, to see if it still had some left, before putting it down again when it came up empty.

“Well, if you don’t mind hurrying up, I’m exhausted and want to sleep,” Oliver faked annoyance, but he was secretly curious to see what Casper would choose. Casper stopped by the shelf with the CD’s and Blu-rays. He picked up a CD, turned it around to look at the songs before he put it back.

“You have pretty good taste in music,” he said as he kept looking.

“You listen to any of them?” Oliver asked slightly surprised. Casper looked back with a smile as he held a differen CD's in his hand.

“A few of them yes, though I’m not big in metal or punk, but I’ve listened to my fair share of rock bands, thanks to my dad,” he answered and pointed at one of the CD’s, before putting the other one away. Casper then walked over to Oliver and sat down on the bed next to him, his legs stretched out in front of him.

“Well it’s hard to find something,” Casper said looking around. Oliver glanced at him then around his room. True, Oliver didn’t have many things. He used most of his money on booze, drugs or on his skateboard. Casper stopped as he looked at something, then he got up from the bed and went to the coffee table where he picked up a tiny zip locked bag. Oliver had honestly forgotten he had left it there from when he was out with Mark.

“This is… How did you get that?” he asked, his voice slightly harsh. Oliver got up from the bed and grabbed the bag out of Caspers hand.

“That is none of your business,” he answered with a frown. Casper looked at him then crossed his arms.

“Do you enjoy taking the pills?” he asked, cocking his head to the side. Oliver looked confused at Casper.

“Enjoy? I’m not taking the pills because I enjoy them, okay?!” he growled. “Have you maybe considered that I need them? That just maybe I don’t want to think about life and how miserable it is? That I use it as a form of escape?” he hissed, but he was feeling exhausted and slightly defeated, since he hadn’t once expressed his feelings about his own life like that. He was admitting how he truely felt, and it was to Casper, a guy that he didn't like.

Casper watched him and something about his expression changed. “Then give me your pills.” Oliver was taken by surprise that he stumbled back, his eyebrow furrowing as he couldn’t believe what he just heard.

“What?!” he stuttered in disbelief. “You want my pills?” Oliver asked, “What for?!” he exclaimed, almost like in a panic. He knew it couldn’t be because he wanted them for himself, so he had a feeling there was something behind it.

“You don’t want to take them, right?” he asked and for a moment Oliver hesitated. That was an answer enough for Casper. He gave Oliver a knowing nod, “see, you hesitated. You don’t want to take them, but you can’t stop. I wanna help you to stop taking them, by taking them from you,” Casper explained. The look in Caspers eyes weren’t pity, it was a strange mix full of concern and tenderness, then suddenly his face looking all serious, and Oliver’s heart almost skipped a beat.

“I…” Oliver started but stopped. The way Casper looked at him made it hard for him to refuse. It was almost like he felt relived, like he had been waiting for someone to offer a helping hand to stop him from taking the pills, but no one had ever forced him to try. His dad might have tried to help him stop drinking, but he never did anymore then tell him, reminding him of how bad it was, and Zack didn’t stop him when he saw Oliver take the pills, almost like he couldn't even be bothered to try.

Oliver wanted to fight back though, because the thought of giving up all of his pills was hard to understand and it was to sudden. It wasn’t like he was addicted to them, he didn’t take them every day, only a couple of times a week, and had no problem going without it for days, but not having them around, scared him for some reason.

They stood silent for a moment, looking at each other before he gave in and sighed. “Fine,” he replied and g ave the bag to Casper before he went to look around in his room.

Oliver had hidden stashes of pills around in his room, in case his dad had found some of them, not that his dad entered his room without Olivers permission, but he did it so he wouldn’t end up losing all of them, and most of them were just really strong painkillers, enough to give him a good buzz, but he did have some other stronger stuff.

He went to his bed, pulled up his madras and took out a small bag with a couple of pills in it. He handed them to Casper, who was about to say something, but stopped when Oliver moved on to his desk and opened the drawer, digging through it until he pulled out another bag. He then went to Casper and asked him to move after handing the second bag. Casper did and watched as Oliver stood on his toes, digging through the top shelf behind some decoration to find a small bottle with a couple of pills in it and handed it to Casper.

“That’s all of them,” he said and looked at Casper, who stared back in disbelief.

“That’s more than I expected” he said slightly surprised as he turned the bottle to read what it says. “Wait, these are pretty strong!” Casper said then he read the name of the bottle. “These aren’t even in your name! How did you get your hands on this?” he stared in disbelief at Oliver, who shrugged and smiled a little.

“As I said, I have connections,” he replied. “Besides, not all of them are the same. I just take what I can get,” Oliver shrugged. Casper frowned then stuffed them in his pockets.

“Are you sure it’s all of them?” he asked, giving him a pointed look, as if he was trying to remind Oliver of something. Oliver thought about it, then took a bag out of the front pocket of the pants he was wearing, but before he gave it to Casper, he took a pill from the bag, placed it between his teeth with a grin and then swallowed it, almost like he was taunting him, just as Casper took a step forward about to stop him. Oliver then handed the rest to Casper, who was frowning but sighed and shook his head as he took it, looking disappointed.

“Now you got all of them,” Oliver smirked. Casper looked at Oliver and there was something in his eyes that Oliver wasn’t sure he liked. It looked like pity and Oliver hated that look; it made guilt gnaw in the pit of his stomach, and for a moment he hesitated.

“If you want to, you could force me to throw it up,” Oliver suggested as he shifted on his feet and looked at Casper, as he gestured with two fingers and moved them to his lips, parting them a little and he stuck the tip of tongue out teasingly. Casper looked at him in shock and shook his head.

“That won’t be necessary,” Casper replied shaking his head. For some reason, Oliver was disappointed. He secretly wanted Casper to force two fingers in his throat, which surprised himself for a bit, as it was Casper he was thinking about, but he suppressed the urges and pushed the thought aside, blaming the booze and pills.

“Good, because I think it’s going to take more than your fingers,” he replied casually, not really trying to hint at anything, but for some reason Casper’s cheek flushed and Oliver realized he was blushing. It wasn’t until then he realized why Casper was blushing that he couldn’t help but smirk.

“Well, I didn’t mean what you thought I meant, but I am pretty good at that too,” he teased as he made a circle with his hand and placed it over his open mouth, sticking his tongue out, knowing Casper could see his tongue piercing. Casper blushed even harder and took a step back and Oliver couldn’t help but burst out laughing. His stomach hurt from laughing so hard he had to sit down.

“Ow… stomach” he tried to breath as he laughed.

“Hey!” Casper exclaimed in embarrassment and slight frustration. “It’s not that funny!” he walked closer to Oliver. Oliver held up his hurt hand, knowing Casper wouldn’t get closer if it meant to push his damanged hand away.

“I’m sorry… but your reaction was just so funny,” Oliver managed to say as he calmed down, grinning.

“Dude don’t joke with those kinds of things,” Casper sighed frustrated. Oliver looked at him, his grin fading into a curious smile, as Casper looked back, still slightly blushing, and he couldn’t help but feel curious, again blaming the alcohol.

“Have you ever tried it?” Oliver asked and crossed his leg, tilting his head. Casper looked at Oliver slightly confused by the question, his cheek still slightly red.

“Tried what?” he asked. Oliver couldn’t help but smirk, biting his bottom lip teasingly.

“To be with a dude,” Oliver raised an eyebrow in question and watched as Casper looked perplexed, questioning what Oliver could possibly mean by it.

“No, the thought had never crossed my mind,” he replied and shifted on his feet. He didn’t look uncomfortable, at least not to Oliver, and he couldn’t help but wonder if Casper was open for it.

“Hmmm, well it’s quite good or at least that’s what I have heard,” he smirked jokingly.

Casper shook his head, but he couldn’t help but chuckle. “I’ll take your word for it” he said.

“You want to try it?” Oliver asked all of a sudden, surprising himself but he kept his expression under control. Casper looked at him, the expression on his face was hard to read, but he shook his head.

“No thank you,” he declined, and Oliver felt both relieved but also disappointed, as he was curious how it would be with Casper. He wondered what kind of expression Casper would make, as Oliver would suck him off.

“As if I would let you touch me,” Oliver answered, trying to dismiss it all. Casper watched him before he shook his head and turned towards the door.

“Well, you seem fine and it’s getting late, so I better head home,” he said, looking back at Oliver with a tight lipped smile.

“Sure, thanks for the ride,” Oliver replied which prompted a nod from Casper before he left the room. Oliver decided to get up from the bed and follow Casper down to lock the door. They said their goodbyes at the door and Oliver watched him go down the stairs before he closed the door and locked it before he returned back to his bedroom. He quickly grabbed the first aid kit he had under his bed. He found bandages and wrapped his hand up, then grabbed the bag of peas, before he laid down in the bed. He couldn’t help but wonder why the hell had just offered himself to Casper, it wasn’t like he wanted Casper in that way, but the way he was reacting made Oliver curious, like there was something more to him then Oliver thought.

He stared at the ceiling, holding onto the bag of peas on his jaw, waiting until the pill was working. It was luckily only painkillers so it helped with the pain from his jaw and wrist, until he could feel his eyes getting heavy and he closed them, letting himself sleep.

Oliver has long given up achieving anything in his life. With ADHD, bad vision and being deaf on his left ear, he never thought of himself as anything special, and it didn't help that his older brother was the golden child, who aced all his tests and never did anything wrong.

When Oliver saw Casper, someone he hadn't seen for six years but someone he hadn't forgotten, the memories of him and Casper fighting, the constant mockery and bullying, left him with a grudge he couldn't let go off, so seeing him again after so long, those feelings arose once again.

What he didn't know was that meeting Casper again, would change his life around, and his struggle with drugs and alcohol would be the foundation for their friendship, and maybe something more.
