Chapter 2 

Moonpaw 

Moonpaw woke to Lightningpaw giving her a light pat on her chest. 

“Moonpaw! It’s time for the gathering!”. Moonpaw patted outside the apprentice den to see the group, who were going to the gathering, stand there waiting. She went over to them, and watched the last couple of cats enter the group. While they were on the way to fourtrees, Moonpaw noticed that Goldenfur was limping. Moonpaw walked over to Lightningpaw and Specklepaw to tell them. “Goldenfur is limping!” Moonpaw mewed. “Maybe she got a bit more injured than we thought in that battle!” Specklepaw replied. Once they got to fourtrees, the three apprentices went to speak to some Shadowclan apprentices. One of them, Spinpaw, was talking about a fight he saw. Spinpaw was a white tom with black spots. It was the Riverclan leader, Rainstar, who fought a kittypet. “He won, obviously, but the kittypet also gave him some pretty bad scratches!” Spinpaw mewed proudly. Moonpaw wondered who the kittypet could be, and why Spinpaw was watching the Riverclan leader. But Novastar interrupted, and jumped in a single leap, onto the great stone. The cats quickly became silent, and the meeting began. Novastar spoke first: “Today, we found Riverclan cats in our territory!”. Suprised dubstep sounded from the cats. “Silence!” Rainstar yowled. The cats immedeately fell silent. “NO Riverclan cats has been in your territory!” Rainstar hissed loudly. Moonpaw shot a glance at Whitewhisker, who struggled not to look guilty. Was the Riverclan deputy himself being disloyal to his own clan? Lightningpaw was suddenly iterrupted by the Thunderclan leader, Emberstar, who said : “We have also found four Riverclan warriors in our territory, including Whitewhisker!”. Shocked mews sounded from the four groups of cats, that had nearly combined into one even larger group. “Do you have anything to say to that, Whitewhisker?” Rainstar snapped. Whitewhisker looked threathening at some cats, before jumping up on the great stone. “What in great Starclan is he doing up there!?” Moonpaw whispered. “I don’t know, but he is pretty stupid, of a deputy to be!” Specklepaw replied. the cats fell silent, and waited for someone to speak. “I, Whitewhisker, the deputy of Riverclan, am a loner from now on. Blackpaw and Bubbleclaw is going with me!” Whitewhisker yowled. The hollow filled with shocked cats murmuring to eachother, and for a moment, everything was chaos. Even the leaders were too shocked to speak. Suddenly, grey clouds pushed in front of the full moon, and dark shadows cast over the hollow. The truce was broke. The shocked cats murmurs turned into panic, as Crowpaw, an apprentice of Riverclan, ran into the hollow, jumped onto the great rock in a single leap, and yelled: “TWO LEGS!!! THERE’S TWO LEGS ALL OVER THE WOODS!!”
