He was shot with an arrow. The girl could no longer hold back her tears as she saw her love in such pain, with blood running down his thick, furry arm. The village people were getting closer. The girl decided to buy some time for the beast to escape. They wouldn't hurt her, she thought, as she told the beast to leave. The beast whimpered and held on to her hand, but the young girl merely smiled at him and tried to reassure him that she'd be safe. The girl stood in front of the hurt great beast and pleaded once more for her village to leave the beast in peace.
