Standing face to face with the now scarred up man, the pounding of my heart raced against my chest as I got ready for whatever worst situation presented itself. “Hehehe, don’t blame me if you’ve shit your pants..!” Sheathing his magnum and ax–he soon spoke cockishley. “Well, since you won’t be using any weapons it's only fair to do the same…” raising both of his arms–he tauntingly stretched and shouted, “Well, c’mon then! What’re you waiting for?”. Dashing at him–I stretched my right arm to cover his sight; but without flinching a muscle to protect his face he just simply stood and confidently stated, “Trying to blind me are ya?” Bellowing a maniacal laugh–he cackled hideously before saying. “HAHAHAhaha! What was that? A kitten punch?” Clobbering the left side of my cheek– with a powerful POW! the pain of four thousand nerves gathered the grunt of my painful backlash. The elastic stretch of his long right hook flew the space between us but before he could make another move–I remembered the lower rib jab I’ve seen Alaine performed; and followed her example. With the flow of my painful momentum, I rushed it into a duck aiming straight towards the sides of his ribs; unfortunately the slowness of my movements helped the man read my attack–blocking his side with his forearm. Still smiling–the man opened the palm of his hand, readying a grapple to brunt the front of my face–but instead skimmed my injured cheek by a speck of hair. “Huh..? Why is it so blurry?” but taking no time to miss this opportunity–I reeled back the hardest punch my muscles could coil and quickly released the mightiest fist I could muster. POW! A loud smack of flesh to flesh contact could be heard and yet the man did not fall. “Teh, you bastard”, wiping the injured spot in where I impacted my blow; he only scoffed and said, “Hitting where it hurts huh?” and without a trace of hesitancy–squarely kicked the face of my liver, “It's only fair you know?”. Instinctively grabbing my side in pain–the hilt of my knees fold as if they were made of silicone and gel. The shaking of my body only serve to intensify the pain which reeled the nerves of my insides–twisting them to a never ending torture of aches and sores. “A-Ahh..!” was all I could muster, spit and slob peeked from the sides of my mouth and soon–non stop streams of drool exited my body. “E-Endure it! Endure it! Endure it! Endure it!” trying to keep the pain to a minimum, I continuously kept on repeating the words to myself so as to not lose consciousness. Standing nonchalantly from a short distance the now blooded faced mohawk man said “I’ll give you some credit, at least you know what you’re kind of doing-” walking up towards me and grabbing the base of my protective vest–he stated, “But it's too bad since, you might end up dead”. Staring eye to eye–the thoughts in my mind tripped and fractured as I still tried to compose my pain. It was then a loud puffering of smoke from behind caught my attention but before I got to clarify what it was, POW! Scorching the right side of my cheek–the burning of my flesh singes the sense of my smell with blood and pain. “A-Ah! Sorry Linde-” WACK!, unable to apologize during the middle of conflict, Alaine swiftly dodge the close quarter kick the man fronted, rushing back to my senses–I grabbed whatever grains of sand greedily before throwing them into the newly scarred up face of the man. “Chu! Teh–you bastard-!” clicking his tongue he turned back to confront me but was surprised when all he was holding was an empty vest. Looking forward–he spotted me running towards the rifle which laid next to the cliffside abyss, with the stumble of my run and creasing of my rolls–I turned and aimed the face of the rifle towards the man and the man towards me with his magnum. With Alaine rushing his six–he soon realized the predicament he was troubled in but before he could find a solution–a loud, FROAR! Connected the blazing fist of my colleagues to the loosen jaw of our attacker. With the scorch of his face; the foam of spit and saliva formed as his hefty pound per pound body flopped into the sands, finally ending an unfair fight.
“Whew” breathing a sigh of relief–Alaine soundly shouted, “Linden! You alright?”. Looking with a disappearing pain of anxiety, the aches and bruises of my physical conditions still flared as if they were to rage. “Yeah, I’m alright–just a little bruising-” BANG!. A gunshot, “But from where? Is Alaine alright? Why is she looking at me like that? What is she saying?” finally clearing my head–the transparent smoke made it all clear. With the infiltration of my body–the certain area around my chest smoked with metal and red. “Plurk” was all my body could muster before a second shot, BANG! Tearing through the muscle fibers of my shoulder–the force of impact knocked me off balance–persuading me to fall on my back and hit the ground–yet the ground never came. Reaching out my hand I tried and failed to grab the blur which I presumed was Alaine’s hand and soon her figure faded into a speck before the dark.
