Chapterm1, Part 4, page 2.
___
(As he walks forwards he realizes the hallway doesn't end where he thought it did, but turns left.)
Aiden: (still walking forward, with a surprised look on his face.) “ oh, I did miss something.”
(He continues forwards and stops just a bit short of the dark spot, not being able to see past the turn.)
Aiden: (He looks into the brownish gray shadow.) “How'd I miss that turn?” (He draws the turn on the map and looks up at the ceiling.) “Well, I guess that answers my question, doesn't it?
(He sees a broken fluorescent light that flickers and sparks once as he looks and falls to the floor.)
*ZZZZT*
Aiden: “ooh” (He flinches a bit but it doesn't interrupt his thought/sentence) “Well I did see that it was dark but it doesn't look that dark while I'm here. Guess my eyes just weren't adjusted to it when I was back there. I Wonder, how long has that been broken? And what broke it?”
(He gets a bit worried as the light implies to him that someone else might be down here with him.)
Aiden: (He thinks about the broken lights implications for a bit.) “Well, even if there is someone else down here that's not what scares me. What scares me is that they would break a light while knowing well that the flooring is carpeted and could catch fire.”
*ZZZZT*
(The light sparks again and he watches the spark as it falls to the floor.)
(He looks at the floor and sees blackened spots on the floor where the sparks have burnt the carpet in the past.)
Aiden: (while still looking at the black spots.) “Well I guess I'm glad that the carpet is wet or at least damp because this place would already be in flames, or worse, if it weren't.”
(He looks a bit closer and sees that there are glass shards and the floor, he walks a bit closer to reach for them.)
Aiden: (He starts to pick them up carefully.) “I don't want to accidentally step on these if I decide to come down here again later.”
(When he finishes picking them up he drops them carefully into the corner, and as he stands back up he finally looks past the turn of the hallway for the first time.)
