The City of Yorm was the place where the Fourth Great Pistol War was held. It was a beautiful city with big buildings and people everywhere and was the birthplace of Ghidor and Grunthos Blackwell. They grew up in the lower class but were not quite poor. Their mother abandoned them when they were six and nine years old and their dad didn't know how to deal with his sons without his wife's presence. This caused many clashes between the father and his sons, the father winning every time. His ability was water manipulation and he used his power to drown his sons almost to the point of death or he'd make whips of water and beat them. This abuse continued for another three years until Ghidor was twelve and Grunthos was nine.
Ghidor developed a power of his own, lightning manipulation, but didn't tell anyone of this power because he didn't want Grunthos, who was powerless, to be harmed because of it. But soon all of that changed. The powerless Grunthos would get bullied by the kids with powers at school and there was nothing he could do but take it. He was a bit overweight but was smart enough to make it by just fine. When it came to academics, the power-using kids saw Grunthos as a powerless nerd. Grunthos just wanted things to change. All of his wishing had seemed to help as things did indeed change.
The next time he got bullied, Grunthos had gotten so mad that he wanted the bullies to die. That's when Grunthos the Flatulent was born. He let out his first Toxic Arena, catching his tormentors inside, and killed them. His use of the gas melted their aura-less bodies and Ghidor was shocked. He used his powers to shock the gas away, not for the sake of the bullies but for the sake of his little brother. However, this wasn't enough as a teacher witnessed the ordeal and was forced to call the authorities. Ghidor took his brother’s hand and started to run away from the scene, knowing that they were now on the run from the law.
There was only one stop Ghidor needed to take before he and Grunthos could leave the place they had once called home. They showed up at their house where their dad had already learned about the deaths and was furious. Ghidor and Grunthos walked into the house like nothing had happened but their father attacked them in a blind drunken rage. He made a water whip and swung it at Grunthos. Ghidor pushed Grunthos out of the way and took the hit. The whip wrapped around Ghidor's arm and their dad started laughing. Ghidor had his head down for a second and then lifted it. His eyes were glowing with lightning and his dad’s laughter went away quickly. It was too late, however, as Ghidor's lightning streamed up his dad's water whip electrified him enough to throw him off balance. Ghidor ran up to his father and wrapped his arms around him, tears streaming down his face as he sent over a million volts of electricity into his father. Their father screamed loudly until the lightning turned his body into dust.
Grunthos started to cry but Ghidor told him that they had to grow up. He told him, “We have nowhere to go. Now stop that crying or I’ll zap those tears away.”
Sniffing, Grunthos wiped his tears off his face. After the death of their father, the brothers packed what they could, burnt their house down, and never looked back. Soon after this, the Fourth Great Pistol War took place in the city, destroying it. A lot of people died and the buildings were reduced to rubble. Over the years, the city became desolate. After the war was over, Lucas found Ghidor and Grunthos and told them that they could be gods of nothing and stay here or they could be gods of everything if they went with him. They chose to go with him.
