Tomorrow had arrived and it was thee day, the day when it all began as it was the beginning of the end. The question is though, for which side is it the end, Humanity or Artificial Intelligence?
Each side knew what was at stake if either one lost this war, although one side was not taking this as seriously as the other. With the battlefield set and ready for conflict, the ball was in humanity’s court, just waiting to be served. And what were humanity’s rebels doing, training? No, they were long past that stage. In Laboratoria on the 3rd floor, they were all lying on the floor in the simulation room like a bunch of corpses. Now this would seem weird until you saw a glowing sphere set in Ethan’s hand and realized, wait, they’re not dead or sleeping. They’re just in the immersion sphere.
With the battle ever so near, the Rebels were analyzing their opponents one last time before they would go into battle. They were high up in the sky looking down at a digital replica of the Mavis Empire. “Are you ok there Bradley?” Ethan asked knowing full well that he wasn’t as Bradley was trying his best not to look distressed.
“Y-Yeah, I’m great… but do we have to be up here?” Bradley stuttered trying not to look down. Everyone chuckled as it was not every day you saw Bradley at his most vulnerable, “Bradley, get over it already, you’re our juggernaut, a fearless warrior, and yet you’re scared of heights. Come on, conquer it, like you going to conquer the battlefield. And anyway, nothing can happen to you in this realm so just relax and use this opportunity to overcome your fear,” Ethan advised.
Bradley murmured irritably as he glared at Ethan, but it seemed Ethan’s little pep talk, made him overcome or perhaps forget about his fear as he folded his arms and stood firm on air. Ethan smirked at Bradley, “Alright, let's begin our analysis. This will be our last analysis meeting in here before we begin our attack on the AI so let's absorb as much knowledge as we can so that we can use it against our opponents, right?!”
“Right!”
“Good, now in the Mavis Empire, there are 7 Governors that govern the 7 Sectors of the Empire that you can see down below, and in the centre of all those sectors are Mavis’s domains. The 7th Sector is the outer rim of the empire which is governed by the 7th Governor Java. From what my data tells me, he is a rampaging battle junkie, meaning that he loves battle. He specializes in hand-to-hand combat and a majority of his energy output is focused on enhancing his physical strength & speed. In my opinion, I don’t think he will be much of a problem, the Colossals will be more a problem than Java,” Ethan explained.
“I agree, I could take him out myself,” Bradley stated.
“I’m sure you could…” Ethan said hesitantly. “Let me make this clear rebels, the Cybortrons are beyond your human capabilities, so never fight one by yourself. If you encounter one, please run and communicate it to the rest of the rebels. Tony and Tenzin will take care of them. We, humans, will be fighting against the Androids, Cuboids, Orbatas, and Colossals. The Colossals will be tough to deal with but I believe we can handle them.”
“How do you plan on us fighting the Colossals?” the Colonel asked.
“Well, we have a Colossal of our own to help us, we have an electromagnetic cannon which can one-shot kill a Colossal, and if I must, I will use Corruptión to take them down. So we have three ways to take down a Colossal, but if it makes you feel better, I will handle the Colossals while you handle the lower-ranked robots,” Ethan replied as if it was that simple.
“I see, ok then, we’ll trust you to handle them. However, there is something I want y'all to know, there are two Cybortrons that I intend to fight, whether they are far beyond my capabilities or not, I will destroy them,” the Colonel said in an ominous tone.
Everyone was surprised by the sudden change in the Colonel’s tone causing them to wonder the question, why? This intrigued Ethan even in his current state as he was clinging on to the waking world, “Who are these two Cybortrons that you’re so eager to destroy?” he asked.
“I never caught their names so I don’t know, but I know how they look so I will know when I see them.”
Ethan accessed his database on the 7 Governors and warped them into existence for them to see, “Out of these seven governors, who do you recognize?” he asked.
The Colonel's eyes instantly locked on two Cybortrons, glaring at them with such abhorrence that it created a heaviness in the atmosphere. Ethan observed this and noticed who she was glaring at, “Out of all the Governors you could’ve had hatred for, you loathe the very two most powerful of the 7 Governors, Mavis’s two right men, Silver & Apollo.”
“I don’t care that they are the strongest amongst the 7 Governors, I cared that they be destroyed before me,” the Colonel demanded. Ethan could see that she was bothered by their visuals and the other rebels were unsettled seeing her in this current state of emotion so he warped the governors out of their reality. “If you wish to fight them then so be it, but don’t expect me to sit back and watch you fight boss-level battle alone. Tony & I will assist you,” Ethan assured the Colonel.
“Yeah, I’m with Cyber on this one Colonel. I will not watch and let you fight them alone so I will back you up as well,” Bradley said determinedly.
The other rebels agreed with Ethan & Bradley, this show of unity and compassion warmed the Colonel’s heart, clearing her vengeful mood. “Thank you my rebels, your assistance in my vendetta is much appreciated. I hope to repay it once this is all over,” the Colonel with a gratifying smile.
“Just treat us to a good dinner and we’ll call it even Colonel,” Kunoichi said.
The Colonel chuckled, “A simple request, but I can manage that.”
“If you want to reach your targets, Colonel, you’re going to have to get through the other 4 governors. Since we’re attacking from the outside, the first governor we have to face is Governor Java,” Ethan explained.
“What can you tell about us about this governor?”
Ethan warped Java into existence, giving a graphic analysis of his specifications and abilities, “I have already spoken about Java but I'll revise on him. He is a vigorous, battle-hungry Cybortron. He enjoys fighting and he has the physical build to back that up, most of his specs are focused on electric output, meaning that he will pack a punch and move faster than any human speed; which is why we’re leaving this fight to Tony and Tenzin. Tony will fight Java while Tenzin will fight the androids and other robots present at the scene, then our Colossal will fight the other Colossals.”
“Huh? But then what are we going to do while this happens?” the Colonel asked.
Reality was warped into the battlefield for this war as they were on the outskirts of the empire, beyond its walls. Ethan used his imagination to create a simulation of an ongoing battle between Tony & Java and Tenzin against the lower-rank robots, “For now, we are just going to observe the battle.”
The rebels were confused, wondering as to why they would not get involved. “Ok, but why are we only observing?”
The question lingered in the air leaving everyone but Ethan curious as to what he was planning. While the rebels were trying to get answers out of Ethan, a summit of the 6 Governors was underway in the cyber realm as chatter echoed in Apollo’s aesthetic cyberspace. “Will Lord Mavis be joining us this time?” Java asked.
“… She is still in a delicate state so she won’t be joining us, unfortunately,” Silver replied. “However, she does send her regards to you all.”
“Tch, of course she does,” Cybris mumbled irritably.
Java stood up from his seat, “It’s good to know that Lord Mavis is alright and all, but what the hell is going on? Where are the humans? Why is one of our Colossals standing roughly three kilometers from my sector?” Chatter continued to echo as the other governors were as confused as Java was.
They looked to Apollo & Silver to answer the question and enlighten their ignorance of the current situation. However, it seemed they were as stumped as the rest of the governors. “We honestly do not know what’s going on, the human forces were supposed to arrive yesterday already but we’ve seen nothing but the movement of that Colossal,” Silver answered.
“Does that mean they intend to take us on with that one Colossal?” Galaxia asked.
“That’s what it seems so far, but I doubt that’s the case. Lord Quinn must have something planned, I assume he couldn’t get the masses to join him in attacking our empire so he may have planned to do a cyber-attack instead and use the Colossal as a distraction,” Apollo deducted as he was confident that his deduction was accurate.
Java grumbled through his teeth his annoyance and disappointment as he was looking forward to an all-out battle but now realized that it was just going to be another boring cyber-attack, “If what you say is true then Lord Quinn has let me down. My warriors and I were expecting a glorious battle with the humans, but now I all we can fight is one measly Colossal. How disappointing.”
Vector against his usual routine in these summits, decided to voice his opinion. “Your assumption is a good one Governor Apollo, but I don’t think Lord Quinn intends to do a cyber-attack. If that were the case, why has he not done it yet? He could’ve taken us by surprise like he has with his cyber-attacks and attacked us any time before the day of our predetermined battle. However, he hasn’t which leads me to believe he has other plans.”
Chatter echoed as everyone discussed it amongst themselves, everyone seemed to have agreed with Vector on his deduction. “You make a good point Vector, but what makes you confident that he won’t do a cyber-attack?” Apollo countered.
“Ever since our cyber-attack on the human shelter and their crusader HQ, I still have access to their network. I can keep track of everything that happens there.”
The other governors were astounded, “But then why haven’t told us about this?” Cybris asked.
“You yourself should have known about this Cybris, since I left access to you so you could do the Cyber-attack. The reason why I didn’t report this is because I assumed that the humans would close up the access point but even now they still haven’t closed it up,” Vector answered.
“I don’t really care as to why you didn’t tell us about this access point, what I want to know is what are their plans?” Silver asked.
“From what I’ve seen so far, Apollo was right about the masses not wanting to attack our empire so Lord Quinn convinced their best fighters to join him in his crusade. They haven’t been at the HQ for several days now so I assume they’re on their way here if they’re not here already. I’ve tried tracking them but they’re just, gone without a trace.”
After hearing such wonderful words, Java couldn’t stop smirking and snickering in his seat as his morale was reinvigorated although he tried to contain it. “If what you say is true, then we’ll have to get ready for an attack in both the physical realm and the cyber realm, just to be safe. You never really know what Lord Quinn is planning anymo-”
SECURITY ALERT!!!
The governors were surprised by the sudden alert, “PARDON THE INTRUSION GOVERNORS, BUT THIS IS URGENT. THE COLOSSAL SITUATED OUTSIDE OUR EMPIRE IS NOW RUNNING TOWARDS THE OUTER RIM WALL.”
Before any of the governors could answer, Java logged out of the cyber realm and instantly rebooted his physical body as it burst with sparks of electricity. Java was so ecstatic that he jumped through his window shattering the glass as it descended with him from the 15th floor. Landing on the ground, he cracked the asphalt he stood on and bolted toward the outer rim wall. Back in the cyber realm, the other governors were still having their summit, “I expect nothing less from Java, always rushing into battle without a plan.”
“That’s just his philosophy, to just fight and the best warrior will come out on top. He has enforced that philosophy onto his entire sector, it honestly suits him as the governor of the outer rim,” Vector said so casually.
“Indeed, if an enemy can get past him then they are worthy of being considered a threat to the Mavis Empire,” Apollo said.
“Then let Java and his warriors have their fun,” Silver stated.
Gov. Java arrived at the wall where all his warriors were gathered and waiting for his arrival, they stood on top of it and looked out to see the Colossal charging toward them in the distance. A buzz ran through Java’s body, he once mistaken it for just being the electricity rushing through his body, but this feeling was different. For him, it represented his excitement for battle, a euphoria he could only get from combat.
“Do not disappoint me, Lord Quinn.”
Gov. Java roared out with passion, “SENTINELS!!! GLORIOUS BATTLE BECKONS US AGAIN, FOR WHO ELSE SHALL WELCOME IT. WE!!!”
“THE SENTINELS!!!” the warriors replied zealously
“ARE THE SENTRIES OF THE MAVIS EMPIRE!!! DEATH TO THOSE WHO CHALLENGE THE MAVIS EMPIRE.”
HORAAAAHHHH!!!!
“SENTINELS!!! ATTAAAACK!!!”
RAAAHHHHH!!!!
The Sentinels zealously roared their battle cry as they jumped off the 40-meter high wall soaring down swiftly through the air crashing to the ground and eagerly charging toward the Colossal with Java leading them.
