A domain type spell or a domain is one which boost the user’s stats and grants them different benefits depending on the domain’s nature and the person. Like in Nina’s case, a slow yet visibly strong healing ability.
As simple as it sounds its effects are so strong that they could change the flow of the entire battle. However, these spells or rather the domains themselves are not easy to master, in fact very small number of people in entire Western Continent could use one and most of those are all old in age with tremendous experiences or young geniuses.
Nina, “Sorry it takes a little time to get active… now! Shall we begin the second round.”
…
“Who are you and what organization do you belong to?” Rose asked to the cloaked individual in front of him.
Out of the 7 organizations this one individual was untraceable.
“Too many questions. I am simply here for the boy hand him over and you could save a lot of bloodshed.” The person said. His voice had a playful ring to it.
“Why are you even after him?” Rose asked trying to confirm his intentions.
“The same as everyone, if that kid possesses even a slight chance of being able to wield legendary treasures, then why won’t we go after him?”
Rose, “Well he doesn’t so you can go back now.”
“Aw darling I hope you don’t think that I was born yesterday.” The man said playfully as he revealed his face hidden by the hood of the cloak. The man had messy violet hair and pale skin. His face held well defined features and could be described in one word, handsome.
Rose didn’t recognize who he was but still remained wary of him.
“I suppose he is in a little battle with that freak show Flamailo. I guess I’ll play with you a little until the soul stone boy is done with him.” The man stated calling Alex out by the name he was known on the Western Continent.
Rose immediately shot green mana beams at the man. However, he turned them away with a flick of his hand.
“Try harder darling.” Rose glared at him as she took out her staff and the next moment, a magic circle appeared in front of her. She stabbed her staff through it causing hundreds of green mana beams to shoot out of her spear towards the man surrounding him from every direction.
“Getting serious now are we.” The man said as he chanted a spell which created a magic circle above his head. The next moment the circle passed through his body. When the beams came in contact with him, it created a large explosion however when the dust cleared the man was still standing tall as if nothing happened.
“I’d appreciate a little more effort.” The man said teasingly to Rose while he dusted his clothes.
‘He… how is unscathed, that was one of my strongest moves.’
“If you’re thinking that your tier two magic attacks can take me down you are looking for a long shot.” The man said as he moved quickly towards Rose. She immediately distanced herself from him by kicking off her front foot.
‘He is definitely not ordinary!’ Rose then threw her staff at him which the man avoided easily.
“Heh, was that supposed to hit me?” He mocked looking back at it.
However, he didn’t notice her coming in close to land a punch. The man received a right hook but it felt to Rose like she just hit a hard wall.
“Uuuhh, you have a strong punch.” He teased as he stabled his footing. But she didn’t stop there as she followed with a triple axel kick. Rose imbued mana around her hands and legs to strengthen them for her every attack however he blocked them all with little to no effort.
She was breathing heavily, having been attempting to land a solid blow for the past 5 minutes, even sneaking mana beams in between but he always blocked them. His body was ridiculously tough!
“Oh, you look tired, let me take the lead now.” Rose was irked by the man’s cheeky comment but didn’t let it catch her by surprise. She tried to land a round house kick but the man punched her in the ribs sending her flying back as she crashed in one of the trees.
The ground and grass dyed red as she spurted out some blood on the ground. Her right rib was probably fractured or worse broken. Ignoring the pain, she stood back up only to find the man behind her. She quickly turned around to counter him but received a knee kick to the face as she again went flying however before she crashed, he appeared beside her and kicked upward hitting her back, sending her in the air.
Rose’s head was spinning, when her ascend in the air began to stop the man appeared again above her and by joining his fist slammed them upon her stomach as she crashed back to the ground. By now Rose was badly injured. Blood had started coming from her nose, she was barely able to stand. The man walked slowly towards her. Rose weakly held up her right hand in front of her seemingly trying to conjure a spell. But the man immediately appeared in front of her and grabbed her hand. It was clear as day that his physical powers completely overwhelmed her.
“Give up darling you can’t beat me. It’ll be a shame to kill someone with such pretty blue eyes. Though it seems your ti—
The man stopped talking midway as he saw a blade which pierced his stomach. It was Rose’s staff. She had stealthily called it back. Blood trickled down the man’s mouth. After taking a single blow from him, Rose knew that her straight forward methods won’t work. So, she was waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike him.
Her spear had been afloat in the air. As soon as he let his guard down Rose activated the strongest spell in her arsenal. Tier Three: Concentrated Spear. The spell condensed highly concentrated mana in the blade of her spear which allowed it to became a lethal weapon. Then with her mana control on her spear she called it back with full force.
“Your blade, I see it is made of cromas, the second strongest metal in Emerald. Adding a concentrated spell on top of that… no wonder it can pierce my body.” The man let go of Rose’s hand as he took a few steps back and fell on the ground.
Rose herself fell on the ground trying to catch a breather.
