Grant sat on the steps of the village, consumed by sadness. Asukem noticed his distress and followed Gimp towards Grant. Concerned, Asukem asked, "Hey, Grant, what's the matter?" Grant lifted his head from his hands and responded, "Well, I was planning to sell those wolves, but nobody seemed interested." Gimp, perched on Asukem's shoulder, chimed in, "Hold on, Grant. Maybe they're already spoiled?" Grant looked at Gimp, puzzled, and replied, "Spoiled? The Wolverfang wolves? No way! They stay fresh for a whole week before they rot and decay."
Gimp and Asukem were taken aback when Gimp expressed his surprise, saying, "Wow, seriously? Maybe we can lend a hand." Their gazes met as Asukem inquired, "Gimp, what's going on?" Gimp blushed and acted coy, responding, "Huh? I want to assist him in bringing those wolves so we can make a sale." Asukem's expression turned serious as he reprimanded, "Gimp! That belongs to Grant's hunt."
Grant eavesdrops on Asukem and Gimp, shaking his head. "What are you talking about, Asukem? They targeted you. I just pitched in and am cool with sharing the rewards with you." Gimp gleefully declares, "Hah, I win, Master!" Grant smiles as Asukem grumbles, "Oh, just hush." Grant bursts into laughter as Asukem and Gimp keep him entertained.
Gimp and Asukem decided to rent a wagon for Grant. They embarked on a journey to where the wolves had initially attacked Asukem. Gimp took to the skies, scanning the area, but unfortunately, he couldn't spot anything. The trees concealed the ground with their abundant branches and leaves. Meanwhile, Grant kept a vigilant eye on their rear while Asukem pulled the wagon through the muddy marsh with incredible demonic strength.
Once more, Asukem sensed the forest's eyes on them, but it wasn't just him this time. Grant was on high alert. However, these stares felt different; they carried a more ominous vibe. Asukem, Gimp, and Grant picked up on the buzzing of insects and the growls of wolves, yet there was something else out there, watching and biding its time. Asukem could feel it, Gimp was jumpy at every noise, but Grant, Grant was fully aware of the danger lurking around them, his expression filled with pure dread.
Finally, they arrived at the spot where the wolves ambushed Asukem. Asukem and gimps' eyes widened in shock as they witnessed the torn corsets of the dire wolves, with fur and blood scattered all over. Gimp swiftly flew towards Asukem's shoulder and inquired, "Do you think these wolves are cannibals?" Grant shook his head, readying himself for danger, and scanned the surroundings before replying, "No, they're not." Worried by Grant's stance, Gimp asked, "Hey, Grant, do you think we're surrounded?" Asukem pulled up with the wagon and said, "Should I mention that we're being watched?" He placed the wagon down, unsheathed his katana, and assumed a fighting stance.
Out of nowhere, a bone-chilling howl pierced through the marshy forest, sending shivers down everyone's spine. A voice followed, "Well, well, what do we have here?" A sinister aura enveloped the area. Asukem could sense packs of wolves fleeing the scene while the insects and birds fell silent. Another voice rang out, "Boys, look what we've got here. Dinner is served." Wolf-like creatures emerged from the shadows, growling menacingly and fixing their gaze on Asukem. One snarled, "Asukem, there's a bounty on your head, but we're not interested in the reward. We're here to hunt!"
These creatures resembling wolves were similar to werewolves; horns replaced their ears, and they had spikes on their wrists. Their fur was soaked and covered in mud, emitting a putrid odor of fresh corpses as drool dripped from their jaws. Grant exclaimed, "Damn, Wolverfang Demons!" Asukem surveyed the area, taking in the sight of all the Wolvefang demons, and remarked, "So, this must be the curse Annerdu mentioned, huh?" Grant nodded in agreement and stated, "Yeah, and they're not easy opponents." Grant activated a switch on his gauntlets, causing a silver liquid to drip from his wrists. He initiated the attack by swinging his gauntlets towards two cursed creatures. Shards of silver liquid shot out, striking them.
As soon as one of the wolverfang demons hits the ground, it convulses and eventually dies. Surprisingly, the other demon gets hit, too, but it survives. Gimp cleverly takes to the air, out of reach from the wolverfang demons. The remaining demons can only watch in awe as Gimp soars above them.
A Demon spotted Asukem and lunged towards him aggressively, like a ferocious animal ready to attack. Asukem swiftly raised his demonic claw to block the demon's strike, gripping it tightly. With a stern look, Asukem heard a calm voice saying, "It's time to wake up, Asukem." Confused, a yellowish sparkle in Asukem's eyes. Reacting instinctively, Asukem punched the demon in the stomach, unknowingly leaving a symbol on its abdomen.
Asukem exerted a strong force, pushing the Demon several feet back, making it slide on the ground and let out a painful yelp. The demon stared angrily at Asukem, groaning in agony. Taking a deep breath, Asukem closed his eyes, trying to calm himself. Unbeknownst to Asukem, he had his hand on his chest with his index finger raised, resembling a prayer gesture. Suddenly, Asukem swiftly pointed his index finger toward the ground, causing a radiant glow. With determination in his voice, he uttered, "That's enough! Sin Seal!"
Suddenly, the demon found itself bound by chains that materialized out of nowhere. These chains began to slither and encircle the symbol that Asukem had placed on the demon. The creature writhed in agony as the chains advanced toward the symbol, stripping away its horns, fur, claws, spikes, and all other menacing features. The demon released a piercing scream as it transformed into a human, the symbol spinning as the chains sealed the evil within.
As the seal-like spell ended, Asukem was startled by Ah'keim's scream of pain. In Asukem's mind, Ah'keim exclaimed, "Asukem, what in the great horrors was that?" Ah'keim was doubled over in agony, surrounded by yellow lightning. Concerned, Asukem asked, "Could it be a new ability I acquired?" Ah'keim, still reeling from the effects, shook his head and retorted, "That's not my ability!" Asukem gave Ah'keim a sly smile and remarked, "Really? It seems to work wonders against Sin Kin. It even seems to heal them." Ah'keim glanced at Asukem with a hint of worry and muttered to himself, "Ah crap, could he possibly be a saint?"
Asukem, an 18-year-old orphan from Rikros, is transformed into a sinkin by an evil demon who wields power to torment souls with her lust. Ah'keim, a powerful being with a mysterious ulterior motive, mentors him as he struggles to regain his humanity and undo the damage caused by the female demon. With the help of new friends who try to help him escape his fate as a sinkin, Asukem sets out to fight the void and gain control over his powers, all while seeking redemption for his past sins.
