Asukem wore a mischievous grin as he strategized his next step, shouting to Gimp, "Delay them, Gimp!" Gimp shoots a quick glance at Asukem and chuckles maniacally, "Consider it done, master!" flipping through his tome and hovering in mid-air, he eventually stows his book and extends his arms. Symbols, glyphs, and magical sigils materialize in front of Gimp, swirling backward with a luminous white radiance.
Grant found himself locked in a fierce battle with one of the demons, his daggers gleaming with silver liquid. He skillfully dodged the demon's attacks while inflicting his own cuts, each making the demon angrier. Eventually, the demon overpowered Grant, seizing and hurling him towards Asukem. Grant let out a groan of pain, but Asukem quickly came to his aid, helping him up. Grant jokingly remarked, "I'll definitely feel that in the morning."
Regaining his composure, Grant assumed a fighting stance, watching the wolverfang demons circling him and Asukem. Concerned about their chances of survival, Grant asked Asukem, "Do you have a plan? I really don't want to be killed by these things." Asukem nodded, his gaze fixed on the wolverfang demons. Still, he briefly glanced at Gimp before returning his attention to the demons. "Gimp's got it under control," he assured Grant.
Finally, Gimp's spell dissipated, and his claws emitted a radiant white light. Gimp winced in pain as the spell took effect, but he fought through it. Diving towards the ground, Gimp landed behind two Wolverfang demons, swiftly taking hold of their legs. He swiftly ascended back into the sky, making a loop before heading towards two more wolverfang demons. A Wolverfang demon attempted to intercept Gimp's flight, but he grabbed onto the demon and propelled himself forward. Flying past the two wolverfang demons, he made contact with their legs. Unfortunately, he was caught by another Wolverfang demon. The demon seized Gimp's tail and triumphantly exclaimed, "Got you, you little shit!"
Witnessing Gimp's predicament, Grant shot a shard from his gauntlet, aiming for the demon's arms. The Wolverfang demon roared in agony and fury as the shard pierced its arm. The demon released its grip on Gimp upon being struck. Gimp touched the Wolverfang demon's claw and swiftly made his way towards Grant. Landing on Grant's shoulder, Gimp took a deep breath, his heart racing, and gratefully uttered, "Thank you."
Grant nodded to Gimp and responded, "No worries, Gimp." Gimp's face lit up with a wide grin as he proudly exclaimed, "Check this out!" With a snap of his fingers, Gimp completed his spell and set it into motion. In an instant, every wolverfang demon that Gimp touched froze in place, unable to budge.
Asukem seized the chance to approach all the wolverfang demons frozen by Gimp and touched them with his human hand. He then returned to Grant and Gimp. They stared at him in bewilderment, but Grant inquired, "What's next?" Asukem placed his hand on his chest, raising his index finger as if praying or respecting, and declared, "This is next. Sin Seal!" A white glow emanated from his fingertip, revealing symbols on each wolverfang demon.
The air was filled with agonizing screams, and suddenly, chains materialized out of thin air, entangling all the Wolverfang demons except for one. As the Wolverfang demons transformed back into humans, the symbols sealed away all traces of their wickedness. However, a single Wolverfang demon managed to escape the seal unharmed.
Grant gazed at Asukem, astonished, and questioned, "What was that?" Gimp observed Asukem with admiration and remarked, "So, that's why you don't harm people when you touch them with your demonic claw." Asukem looked at Gimp with a puzzled expression and inquired, "What do you mean?" Gimp clarified, "Asukem, you actually seem to be purifying people. It's like you're removing their sinful nature." Asukem examined his human hand and said, "Nice, so I don't have to cause harm." A worried expression crossed Asukem's face as he turned to Gimp, seeking an answer, "Then why couldn't I heal you, Gimp?" Gimp shrugged and replied simply, "I have no idea." Asukem muttered, "Maybe one day we'll figure it out. There's no use dwelling on something beyond our understanding."
Groans filled the air, followed by a woman's piercing scream that caught everyone's attention. The wolverfang demons were suddenly replaced by men and women in tattered clothing, exposing themselves to the crowd. Gimp couldn't tear his eyes away from the woman until Asukem appeared, his disapproving gaze causing Gimp to tremble in fear. "Enough, stop this now!" Asukem's voice boomed with anger. Gimp's soul quivered as he quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, master!" Gathering leaves from the trees, Gimp used his magic to shield the women from view by applying patches in their clothing and apologizing to the onlookers.
The men and women were utterly stunned and appeared to be lost entirely. Grant and Gimp assisted them in getting into the wagon while Grant managed to secure one of the untouched dire wolves. Asukem inquired, "Is everyone ready to roll?" Grant and Gimp nodded in agreement. Asukem pulled the wagon with the men, women, and the lifeless wolf inside.
On their way back to town, the men and women attempted to piece together what had transpired. Asukem was busy pulling the wagon, Grant remained vigilant for any potential ambush, and Gimp circled above them in the sky.
