Day Five

Day Five

Mar 14, 2024

The next day, as the Skeld-B127 approached the space station for refueling, the crewmates gathered eagerly at the observation deck, anticipation bubbling within them like fizz in a carbonated beverage. They peered through the windows, their eyes widening in wonder at the bustling scene unfolding before them.

The space station buzzed with activity, a vibrant tapestry of beings from all corners of the galaxy co-existing in harmonious chaos. Colorful aliens with tentacles, scales, and fur mingled with humanoid figures of various shapes and sizes, creating a kaleidoscope of diversity.

Ryan[Red]: "Wow, would you look at that? It's like a whole new world out there."

Ben[Blue]: "I've never seen anything like it! Imagine the stories these beings could tell."

Harris[Yellow]: "This is amazing! Let's stick together, guys. Safety in numbers, right?"

With nods of agreement, the crew formed a tight-knit group, navigating the crowded space station together. They explored the myriad shops and stalls that lined the bustling corridors, their curiosity piqued by the array of exotic goods on display.

Maddie[Maroon]: "Keep an eye out for anything useful, everyone. We might find some supplies we can use on the ship."

Darcy[Orange]: "And don't forget to try some of the local snacks! Who knows, we might discover a new favorite food."

Wells[White]: "I wonder if they have any rare components for the reactor. It wouldn't hurt to stock up."

As they meandered through the vibrant marketplace, the crew marveled at the sights and sounds around them, soaking in the rich tapestry of cultures and traditions that flourished on the space station. They sampled exotic snacks, haggled with merchants, and exchanged stories with curious locals, forging connections that transcended the boundaries of their own world.

As the crew stepped off the Skeld-B127 and onto the bustling space station, they were greeted by a kaleidoscope of sights and sounds. People of all shapes, sizes, and species bustled about, co-existing in a vibrant tapestry of diversity.

Ryan[Red], Darcy[Orange], Wells[White], and Diggory[Brown] stuck together, marveling at the array of shops and vendors lining the station's corridors. Meanwhile, Harris[Yellow], Maddie[Maroon], Drake[Dark Green], Leonard[Lime], and Rupert[Rose] wandered off to explore, their curiosity piqued by the promise of adventure.

Alpine[Black] lingered behind, drawn to a familiar sight amidst the bustling crowd. There, in the heart of the station, stood a massive shop adorned with colorful banners and twinkling lights. As she approached, a warm voice called out to her.

Ohara[Gray]: "Ah, Alpine, it's been so long, my dear!"

Alpine[Black] groaned playfully as she was enveloped in a tight hug.

Alpine[Black]: "Hello, Naani."

Ohara[Gray]: "Thank heavens you came by! Look at you—clad in a baggy old junk. I'd say... why not we remodel the suits?"

With a chuckle, Alpine followed her grandmother into the depths of the shop, where racks upon racks of redesigned spacesuits awaited. Each suit boasted intricate patterns and sleek designs, a far cry from the standard-issue attire worn by the crew.

Meanwhile, Ryan, Darcy, Wells, and Diggory emerged from the changing rooms, their suits now equipped with belts brimming with tools of every shape and size. They nodded in satisfaction at their upgraded gear, ready to tackle whatever challenges awaited them.

As Harris, Maddie, Drake, Leonard, and Rupert rejoined the group, they too sported new additions to their suits. Grapple hooks concealed within their belts gleamed in the station's artificial light, a testament to their readiness for any unforeseen obstacles.

Alpine, however, remained engrossed in her work, sketching out designs and tweaking details with meticulous precision. With her grandmother's guidance, she was determined to create a suit that not only looked stylish but also provided maximum functionality for her unique skills.

As the crew prepared to depart from the bustling space station, Alpine[Black] lingered behind, her attention still captivated by the task of designing her own suit. With a sense of determination, she adjusted her sketches and fine-tuned the intricate details, her mind buzzing with creative inspiration.

Ryan[Red], sensing Alpine's focus, turned to the rest of the crew with a smile.

Ryan[Red]: "Alright, everyone, let's head back to the ship. We'll wait for Alpine there."

Darcy[Orange]: "Is she not coming with us?"

Alpine glanced up from her work, a gentle smile gracing her lips.

Alpine[Black]: "You lot go first. I'm gonna join y'all later using my own ship."

The crew exchanged curious glances, but they trusted Alpine's judgment. With a nod of understanding, they made their way back to the ship, leaving Alpine to her designs.

As they departed, Alpine turned back to her sketches, her focus unwavering. With each stroke of her pen, she brought her vision to life.

A few hours later, Alpine[Black] stood tall and resolute, clad in her newly redesigned suit—a sleek black Beskar armor adorned with silver spikes that gleamed in the soft light of the space station. The absence of the Mandalorian helmet revealed the fact she was Ex-Mandalorian.

As she waved goodbye to her grandmother, Alpine felt a surge of gratitude for the woman who had taught her so much about resilience and strength. With a final nod of appreciation, she turned towards her ship—an old Imperial Fighter tucked away in a corner of the docking bay.

As she climbed into the cockpit, Alpine's heart raced with excitement-she really missed her old ship.

She ignited the engines and guided the ship out of the docking bay, she entered the coordinates of the Skeld-B127 and jumped to hyperspace and approached the massive ship [compared to the small size of her own ship, the Skeld was ginormous].

Alpine[Black]: "Oi, Ryan, open the cargo bay hatch. I'm coming in hot!"

Ryan's voice echoed through the Navigation room of Skeld-B127.

Ryan[Red]: "Copy that, Alpine. Opening the cargo bay hatch now. Prepare for docking."

After docking, she powered down the engines and climbed out of the cockpit stepping onto the Skeld, she was greeted by the familiar sight of the crew, their faces lighting up with smiles and laughter at her arrival.

Ryan[Red]: "Welcome back, AL! Nice flying there."

Alpine grinned, a sense of satisfaction washing over her as she joined her comrades on board the Skeld.

Alpine's grin widened as she settled back among her comrades on board the Skeld-B127, feeling a sense of camaraderie and belonging wash over her. As the crew gathered around, exchanging stories and laughter, Alpine couldn't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for the friendships she had forged among them.

Clearing her throat to get their attention, Alpine's expression softened into one of gentle authority.

Alpine[Black]: "As your supervisor, I have to remind you that it's bedtime. No excuses, folks."

Her words were met with a chorus of groans and playful protests from the crew, who were reluctant to end the evening's festivities. But Alpine's firm tone left no room for negotiation, and with a mixture of reluctance and good-natured teasing, they began to disperse, heading to their respective quarters for some well-deserved rest.

As Alpine watched her crewmates retreat, she followed suit, but Ryan and Ben decided to keep watch for the night... to avoid any Impostor damage...

However, she noticed that Ryan[Red] and Ben[Blue] remained behind, their expressions serious.

Alpine approached them.

Alpine[Black]: "Planning on pulling an all-nighter, gentlemen?"

Ryan[Red] glanced at Alpine with a small smile, his eyes reflecting the seriousness of their task.

Ryan[Red]: "We figured it wouldn't hurt to stay vigilant, just in case. Can't be too careful with those Impostors lurking around."

Ben[Blue] nodded in agreement, his gaze sweeping the corridors for any signs of trouble.

Ben[Blue]: "Yeah, we want to make sure the ship stays safe while everyone else gets some rest. We'll take shifts to keep an eye on things."

Alpine[Black]: "Well, if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be turning in for the night, but I trust you two to keep things under control."

With a nod of gratitude, Ryan and Ben settled into their makeshift posts, their eyes scanning the shadows for any hint of danger.

As Ryan[Red] and Ben[Blue] settled into their posts, their minds buzzing with anticipation, they couldn't help but engage in a whispered conversation about the possibility of uncovering the Impostor(s)' identities.

Ryan[Red]: *in a hushed tone* "So, Ben, what's the plan if we finally catch one of those sneaky Impostors red-handed?"

Ben[Blue]: *leaning in conspiratorially* "Well, first, we'll need to gather some evidence. We can't go accusing anyone without solid proof. Once we have that, we'll call an emergency meeting and present our findings to the crew."

Ryan[Red]: *nodding thoughtfully* "Agreed. We'll have to be strategic about it. Can't let the Impostor(s) catch wind of our suspicions too early."

Their conversation then took an unexpected turn as Ben couldn't resist teasing Ryan about his crush.

Ben[Blue]: *grinning mischievously* "So, Captain, any progress on winning over Darcy's heart?"

Ryan[Red]: *flushing slightly* "Uh, well, you know... It's a work in progress."

Ben[Blue]: *chuckling* "Come on, Ryan, spill the beans! How are you planning to sweep her off her feet?"

Ryan[Red]: *sheepishly* "I... uh... haven't quite figured that out yet. But I'll think of something, don't you worry."

As Ryan[Red] and Ben[Blue] maintained their vigilance, their senses heightened for any signs of trouble, they suddenly heard a piercing scream echo through the corridors. Their hearts racing, they exchanged a look of alarm before breaking into a run, heading in the direction of the sound.

Without hesitation, Darcy[Orange] slammed her hand down on the emergency meeting button, the action sending a jolt of energy through the ship. In an instant, everyone was teleported to the meeting table, appearing in a flurry of confusion and disarray.

Harris[Yellow] and Alpine[Black], who had been enjoying a moment of rest and cuddling, were jolted from their slumber, their expressions a mix of annoyance and bewilderment.

Harris[Yellow]: "Jesus, can't we have some rest and cuddle for a minute?!"

Alpine[Black]: "I swear if this isn't important..."

Maddie[Maroon] stood at the table, her grip tight around a menacing machete, her eyes darting nervously around the room.

Diggory[Brown], who had been snoring peacefully, suddenly jerked awake, his eyes wide with confusion.

Meanwhile, the rest of the crew appeared in various states of disarray, dressed in their pajamas and rubbing sleep from their eyes.

Darcy[Orange] wasted no time in getting straight to the point, her voice trembling with urgency.

Darcy[Orange]: "It's Maddie! She's an Impostor!"

As Darcy[Orange] accused Maddie[Maroon] of being an Impostor, the tension in the room reached a fever pitch. But before Maddie could defend herself, Harris[Yellow] and Alpine[Black] exchanged a knowing glance, their expressions filled with a mix of resignation and exasperation.

Harris[Yellow]: "Well, no shit, Sherlock."

Alpine[Black]: "Yeah, it was pretty obvious."

Their nonchalant response elicited a chorus of incredulous shouts from the rest of the crew.

Crew: "YOU KNEW?!"

Alpine and Harris exchanged a sheepish look before explaining.

Harris[Yellow]: "Look, we didn't have solid evidence, but come on, she's holding a machete. How did she get that?"

Alpine[Black]: "And we caught her sneaking around in the vents earlier. Only Impostors and Shapeshifters can do that."

Their explanation was met with a mixture of understanding and frustration from the crew, who couldn't help but feel a sense of betrayal at the revelation.

Darcy[Orange]: "So, why didn't you say anything sooner?"

Harris[Yellow]: "We were gathering more evidence, but it looks like Darcy beat us to it."

Alpine[Black]: "We wanted to be sure before accusing anyone. Sorry for not speaking up earlier."

Their honesty and humility helped to quell some of the tension in the room, as the crew realized that Alpine and Harris had been working behind the scenes to protect them all along.

With Maddie's true allegiance exposed, the crew turned their attention to devising a plan to ensure the safety of the ship and root out any remaining Impostors. And as they deliberated late into the night, Ryan[Red] and Ben[Blue] couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of determination to protect their crewmates and uncover the truth, no matter the cost.

As the tension in the room reached its peak and accusations flew, Harris[Yellow] and Alpine[Black] exchanged a knowing glance, their expressions firm and resolute.

Harris[Yellow]: "No need to discuss what to do with her. We've had lots of experience dealing with Impostors. Time to do the old classic: Voting."

Their words cut through the chaos, silencing the room as the crew turned their attention to the seasoned duo. With a sense of trust and respect, they followed Harris and Alpine's lead, casting their votes with a mix of determination and uncertainty.

One by one, the crew members placed their votes, their gazes lingering on Maddie[Maroon] with a mixture of suspicion and apprehension. And when the final vote was tallied, the decision was unanimous: Maddie was guilty.

The crew looked to Harris and Alpine, their expressions a mix of confusion and curiosity, unsure of what the duo had planned next. But Harris and Alpine shared a knowing smirk, oh how they missed doing it...

Without a word, they each took hold of Maddie's arms, their grip firm and determined. With a sense of finality, they carried her towards the garbage emptying chute, the crew watching in silence.

As they reached the chute, Harris and Alpine shared a glance, their eyes gleaming with mischief and satisfaction. With a swift motion, they hoisted Maddie over the edge, her cries of protest falling on deaf ears.

"Adios," Alpine muttered, a smirk playing on her lips.

"And that, my friends, is how you eject an Impostor," Harris declared, his voice ringing with authority. "Don't worry, dear amateurs, you'll learn soon enough."

With a simultaneous shout of "EJECT," Harris and Alpine activated the chute, sending Maddie hurtling out into the depths of space.

The crew looked on in shock, their mouths agape at the audacity of the duo's actions. They exchanged bewildered glances, still trying to process what had just transpired before their eyes.

Harris[Yellow] and Alpine[Black] broke the ice with a nonchalant shrug as if their daring maneuver was nothing out of the ordinary.

Harris[Yellow]: "Oh well, back to bed I guess."

Alpine[Black]: "Agreed. Can't let a little Impostor trouble disrupt our cuddle session."

Darcy[Orange]: "You two are unbelievable."

Ben[Blue]: "Seriously, how do you do it with such calm?"

Harris[Yellow] and Alpine[Black] shared a knowing smile, their eyes twinkling with mischief.

Harris[Yellow]: "Years of practice, my friends. Years of practice."
