After scanning the surroundings Lucenio took Nolan and whispered something in his ear and they started putting a plan both adding taking out and explaining what they can do “so basically we will use our strong points” “I’m ready Nolan but how much time do you need?” “Not a lot just hopefully he will go with it” Okay, start drawing. I will hold him off for the time we need," Lucenio commanded. "Father, I'll show you how your cub hunts!" This time, Lucenio unsheathed his sword, taking slow and deliberate steps towards the creature. Nolan followed behind, sketching symbols in the sand.
"I know you are hungry. Are you ready?" Lucenio closed the distance with the white animal, sword in hand. The creature bared its fangs and waved its tail in an attempt to intimidate Lucenio, who continued to approach. The fight commenced with the first swing of Lucenio's sword.
The creature, once prey, became the hunter, launching relentless attacks. Lucenio dodged and swung his sword, but with each passing minute, the creature's assaults grew more vicious. It seemed to feed on Lucenio's fear and fatigue, exacerbated by a sleepless night.
"Can you hurry, Nolan? His tail hits are getting more accurate!" Lucenio urged. "Lucenio, his tail is getting longer. Watch out!" Nolan warned. Lucenio, choking on the realization, saw the creature's tail extending and expanding. "Can you hurry?! Or I'll hunt him alone."
Lucenio's frustration grew as the creature continued its rapid attacks. "I would like to see you try. I need to draw two more," replied Nolan. Lucenio grumbled, "This kid, I'll kill him one day."
“I’M DONE NOW” As Lucenio kept retreating, the clever creature noticed a flaw in their plan. With a quick swap, it redirected its anger towards Nolan.
Defending himself with his staff, Nolan caught the creature's strike with his staff, "Best weapon money can buy." Alaric's comment was cut short as the creature broke the weapon and positioned itself above Nolan, ready to bite. Lucenio intervened, attacking the creature, and holding it with the hilt of his sword. Jumping with the creature towards one of the symbols on the ground throwing into it, he commanded, "Activate it NOW!" Nolan slapped his hands, whispering, "Hayaqadash." The creature began teleporting through portals shaped like a compass drawn by Nolan. The shapes converged on Nolan, but with each teleportation, Nolan weakened. Nolan drew 5 different small portals similar to the one he used to teleport them here and drew from each a line and all these lines connect with a point where Nolan stood.
The creature resisted, almost breaking free.Lucenio, determined taking advantage of the animal dizziness he kept him in the cirle.Hold it, Nolan, a bit more!" Despite blood flowing from Nolan's nose and the creature attempting to break free, Lucenio didn't let go. Finally, Nolan managed to teleport them under a cliff where the chain was waiting and made a small collar that lucenio again took advantage of the animal weakness and put it around his neck and pulled the other side of the chain with the last of his powers the beast started suffocating and nearly loosing conscious. However, it retaliated, hitting Lucenio’s left palm with its claw before succumbing to unconsciousness. Lucenio fell beside the creature, tired yet satisfied enduring all the hits of this dangerous beast even though most hits were defended by the armor.
After about two hours, Lucenio woke up to soft unclear whispers, He woke up seeing Kai and
Alexander who was again commanding Kai “faze two will begin anytime now the results are
great”
“dad?”
“oh you’re awake good job son I’m proud come on let’s move you need to see your prize.
ucenio got up, trailing behind Kai and Alexander. Nolan, brimming with excitement, sprinted
toward Lucenio, enveloping him in a hug. "WE DID ITTTTTT!"
"Yes, we did," Lucenio replied, still absorbing the triumph.
Alexander wondered about Nolan’s ability if it was created on the spot or gained after a lot of
training.
“To be honest it was a mix of what My teacher taught me about how portals work. When the
distance is short, I can use more portals. And when its small it helps conserving more energy so I
put it to the test and connected it so I can keep controlling it” explained Nolan
After hearing that Lucenio approached the caged animal, reaching out with his left hand, only to
notice it was bandaged. "What happened? When?"
"I had to. He caught you with his final attack," Kai disclosed, causing Lucenio to feel a pang of
fear, wondering if they had seen the black blood substance from any of his other wounds.
"Is something wrong? Did something happen?" asked Kai.
Lucenio, nervous about his father's
reaction, if he saw it or others saw it, he replied, "no nothing”
"He caught you really hard. You're lucky he wasn't at full power," reassured Kai. Lucenio, still
uneasy, asked about his own blood, worried that it might be unusual.
"No, it's normal to bleed and you know the blood color, right?” responded Kai. Attempting to
divert attention, Lucenio dismissed it, claiming fatigue. Alric, witnessing the exchange, didn't
intervene, content with his son's accomplishments.
Observing the wounded creature, Lucenio noted, "Wait, he is bleeding."
"Yes, when you pulled him up, he might have been hit by the cliff," explained Kai. lucenio
touched the injured spot with his left hand, and a strange warmth surged through Lucenio's left
arm. Nolan handed Lucenio the weapons, saying, "Here you go, man."
"Did you pick two weapons?" Alexander asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh yes, I know you told me to pick one, but I couldn't decide," replied Lucenio. "Now that I've
passed the test, I can focus on training with these two. But I'll take a long break before anything
else."
As Lucenio finished speaking, his expression shifted, resembling that of an animal sensing
danger. With pure instinct, he defended against a powerful attack that sent him flying.
crashing into a tree and then slamming back-first into the mountain behind them. He fell down,
spitting blood and coughing.
"What... was that... father?" Lucenio struggled to speak.
Ignoring the shock of onlookers, Alexander rushed towards Lucenio, attacking with his spear.
Lucenio, however, dodged at the last moment, causing the spear to embed itself half[1]underground.
"Come on, that was a simple one. Your test starts now, Lucenio, and I'm your opponent,"
Alexander declared.
