Once they arrived at Camp Half-Blood, in Manhattan, they decided to see if they could get through the border Homanus had told them about, they stepped closer to the strawberry farm which was on the other side of the hill. When suddenly, a minotaur raced into their path blocking all from view, Calypso was still holding Eros she clutched Eros out of the minotaurs view (which wouldn’t be very effective anyway because minotaurs have very bad eyesight), the minotaur was getting ready to charge at them, they saw their lives flash before their eyes (well Calypso and Leo did because Eros was still fast asleep) they were clutching each other in fear, ready for the worst, when Eros woke up and screamed so loud that it sounded like Pan the Greek god of nature’ stentorian voice. The minotaur looked frightened as he raced away into the forest. Then, there was a voice, ‘Well done,’ it said ‘you defeated the minotaur that even our forces couldn’t handle. I am Chiron, the activities director at Camp Half-Blood and yes I am a centaur. Who sent you here?’ Chiron questioned. Leo answered ‘No one, our home was destroyed and we found this little child whom we called Eros, we got directions from Homanus and we may have ran away from Typhon before we found our home in ruins.’ Chiron looked surprised. ‘How old are you?’ he asked simply. Calypso answered ‘Me and Leo are 12, Eros though we don’t know.’ Chiron motioned for them to try to go through the border and Calypso, Leo and Eros stepped gingerly towards the border, ‘It won’t bite.’ Chiron chuckled. They stepped into the border and nothing happened. THEY WERE THROUGH! Chiron galloped in front of them and offered them a ride on his back and a few minutes of them climbing onto his back, soon they were trotting towards the Big House (where Chiron lives) on the porch of the Big House sat a man called Dionysus the Greek god of wine and grapes, he was playing cards with a boy who looked around the age of 16, his name was Percy Jackson. He welcomed them and congratulated them for defeating the minotaur ‘I did that in my first year here too, pulled one of the horns off and he turned to dust. After I’d watched him destroy my mother, I was enraged of course.’ Calypso gasped. ‘Well, we didn’t really defeat the minotaur, we basically just terrified it away for at least a decade. I’m sorry.’ she whimpered. ‘Oh that’s fine child, that beast will be coming back anytime soon now, maybe tomorrow, you should’ve tried harder.’ snapped Dionysus. Chiron glared at Dionysus and smirked ‘I guess that gives me the pleasure of telling Zeus that you should stay here for another century, hmm Dionysus?’ Chiron looked like he was enjoying finally being able to get back at Dionysus. Dionysus muttered ‘Fine, I guess I am… s-s-sorry child.’ Dionysus looked guilty. Percy offered to show them around and then Annabeth joined them and said she could help Percy show them around. Chiron nodded.
