The fighting between the Pistols and Lucas’ men raged on, abilities flying everywhere. The Pistols didn't use any big abilities, choosing to save the energy they had for when they got into the castle to fight Lucas. Sapphire put her hands up, creating ice cubes that displayed pictures and sounds like a television for Lucas to watch. He sat in the castle, watching Rurima’s every move, surprised to see her actually fighting. She was still the same, Lucas thought. She wasn't going to let her students show her up. Lucas smirked at this thought, remembering the old days.

 

The Pistols fought hard to knock out all of their opponents. As much as Rare wanted to kill them, she knew Rurima wouldn’t allow her to. And she decided to save it for Lucas. Rurima and the Pistols made it to the front of the castle with more ease than Lucas had expected. This didn’t phase him, though as he knew what was waiting for them. The Pistols were greeted by a big dressed gentleman who flexed his muscles which left tears in his suit. None of the Pistols were impressed by this, though, as the man showed off his bulk. Demetria, Sotto, and Angie all stepped up, charging at the big man who swung his fists in defense. They easily dodged his punches, however, as they were too fast for him. All three women hit the man with a barrage of strikes. He tried to fight back but he got beat into submission quickly, curling into a ball and started to, what it seemed like, crying. 

 

ThePistols proceeded to the door but it was locked until one of them used their abilities to blow the door open. They all made their way into the castle where Lucas and Sapphire were waiting for them. Lucas clapped his hands and told them. “My, my. I’m very impressed with the little display of talent that you've shown. But playtime is over now. It’s time for you all to die.”

 

With no warning, Lucas charged forward and pulled out his knives. He was going after Rurima but was soon stopped as he jumped out of the way of Rayne’s activated Great Pistol power. She had shot an enormous blast at Lucas as she borrowed an ability from Sotto, and used a power shot. As quickly as Rayne activated and shot the blast, she deactivated her Great Pistol’s power. This threw Lucas off. He didn't think that Rayne's power was to that point yet. Sapphire used her ice abilities to shoot big ice bullets at the Pistols from afar. These were reflected by Godfrey, whose ability had sent them back at her, forcing her to move out the way. 

 

“How did one month of preparations on my end, help them boost up their strength this much?” Lucas muttered to himself. “What kind of back-breaking training did Rurima put them through?” 

 

He knew he had to switch tactics if he was going to beat them. Looking at Sapphire, he nodded his head. Moments later, Sapphire's whole body turned into an icy gas and headed straight at the Pistols. By the time they figured out what happened, it was already too late. Sapphire had frozen everyone except for Rurima. The Pistols tried to move but were stuck. Lucas told the Pistols that all this was a means to an end and that everyone who had died under his command had all been there to serve the purpose of killing Rurima. 

 

“I will get my revenge on you now, Rurima!” Lucas growled at her.

 

Rurima, feeling frustrated and worn out, said, “Lucas...I didn't kill Arora that day. Just look at Rayne! Don’t you see it? She is the spitting image of her mother!”

 

Lucas didn’t look at Rayne, feeling all of the anguish he held in his chest since the last war build up inside him. Instead, he spat at the ground and yelled, “Shut your mouth! I know what I saw that day. You can’t lie to me, Rurima.”

 

Lucas readied his weapons, wanting to end this now. He was going to kill each and every one of those stupid kids if it was the last thing he did. Arora would be avenged within the hour. Rurima sighed and said, “Lucas, if you kill her, you’ll be the one who really killed Arora! She wouldn’t want this and you know it!”

 

“SILENCE! You would say anything to keep yourself alive. Well, guess what, Rurima? You are going to die along with these brats!” Lucas said, getting more ticked off. He turned to Godfrey and said, “And YOU. You’re no heir. The heir can only be one who holds the Great Pistol’s power. Your power is barely above average. To think that you’ve only just released that power of yours. It took you long enough.”

 

He smirked at Godfrey who was grinding his teeth, trying hard to free himself from Sapphire’s frozen trap. Godfrey growled angrily and said, “What do you mean?”

 

Lucas explained that the person Godfrey thought he killed all those years ago was really Sapphire. He had made her use her concealing and ice abilities to make it look like he really killed her. The doubt that Godfrey felt had been planted there by Lucas, making his power dormant. It would've worked in Lucas's favor, but after Godfrey met Kanu, his potential had returned, though not without the whispers of doubt, and he could have awakened his powers much sooner. This pissed off all the Pistols, but none more so than Rayne and Godfrey. 

 

Rurima went to attack Lucas and the two of them had a back and forth fight, trading blows. One of them was going to win this. Rayne activated her Great Pistol powers which helped her bust out of the ice trap. She then busted the other Pistols out. Just as they all were going to join the fight, Rurima had gotten blown back. Luckily for her, she was caught by Rare. Angie, Demetria, and Sotto charged in like they did outside the castle but Lucas was prepared for this and used his knives in a barrage. Most of the knives missed the girls, but a few of them hit. The ones that missed were connected to a wire and were brought back into action, hitting them from behind and hurting the girls. Rare pulled Godfrey to the side and explained that she had a plan. Godfrey understood and charged at Lucas, trying to distract him while Rare shot her healing and poisonous bullets at them both. Godfrey got behind Lucas using his reflection ability to bounce the bullets back to Lucas. But the attempt was stopped by Sapphire who stopped the bullets with her ice abilities. 

 

Lucas told Sapphire that she should be more useful next to him and he pulled her closer. Just as he did that, Rayne came from above Lucas, hitting him with a barrage of poison bullets. Lucas managed to jump out the way, only being hit by a few, and Sapphire ended up being hit with the rest of them. She fell to the floor, breathing heavily. Lucas came back to Sapphire and told her that she served her purpose well, just like Grunthos and Ghidor had. Just then, blood came out of Lucas's mouth and he knew the poison was starting to take effect. He wiped the blood away from his mouth and went back to fighting. 

 

Rare got close to Sapphire, wanting to finish her off, and asked her if she had one final request. Sapphire let out a tear, feeling betrayed, and asked to be healed. She said she would help them stop Lucas. Rare thought about it and remembered what Rurima taught her over the years. She knew that Sapphire was just a pawn in Lucas's game so she agreed to heal her on the condition that if she didn't help, she would be the next to die. Sapphire agreed and Rare healed her.

 

Lucas used an ability known as All Stats. This was his ultimate ability. It boosts all of his body’s physical stats (including speed, power, agility, and more) for a short time. Using this, he ran through almost all of the Pistols. Even Rurima was knocked down. The only ones standing were Rayne and Godfrey. They both traded blows with Lucas but even with Rayne's Great Pistol powers and Godfrey's reflection ability, it was hard to keep up with Lucas. They did manage to get a hold of Lucas's arms and in that moment, an ice lance pierced through his chest. Sapphire was up on her feet, staring right into Lucas's eyes.

 

“Now, you have served your purpose.” She told him, making him fall to his knees.

 

 Coughing up blood, Lucas used his last words to say, “Everything I did was for the greater good...You might have defeated me, but you’ll never win against the bigger threat that’s coming….Don’t….Don’t trust that man.”

 

Rayne was the first to ask, “What man?”

 

“S...Sebastian.” The life was fading fast from Lucas and with his last breath, he said, “The Fifth Great War has begun.” 

 

Godfrey walked right up to Lucas and asked him what he meant but it was too late. Lucas was gone. Sapphire asked them what they were going to do with her and Rurima told her that she was free to go, but if she became a threat, she would be punished. Sapphire, feeling relieved, used her concealing powers and vanished away. All the Pistols felt a surge of overwhelming energy and they knew that what Lucas said was true. The next great pistol war was ahead of them and they needed to be ready for what was to come. The castle started to crumble and break and they all got out just in time to see the castle fall. Making their way to the armor truck, they left, leaving the Magnus Mountains behind them. Somewhere far away, Sebastian, otherwise known as Zollic, was looking into a chamber filled with a watery substance. In the chamber was a woman. Zollic had a huge grin on his face and he said, “This is going to be fun.”
