As the battle raged on between Humanity and Artificial Intelligence, back in Laboratoria, Ethan was out cold with his head resting peacefully on Kunoichi’s lap. “How can he be sleeping at a time like this?” Bradley ranted.
The Colonel bonked him on the head, “Be quiet Bradley, after all the work he has put in for us, he needs this rest, he deserves it at the very least.”
Bradley mumbled his displeasure and folded his arms, “You heard Cyber’s plan, we wait until Tony and Tenzin have defeated Governor Java then we’ll make our move,” the Colonel revised.
“But what do we do if Tony & Tenzin lose, by the looks of it, things aren’t going well for Tony and he’s the stronger of the two?” Flash asked while everyone was watching the battle through their special contacts which were connected to their Colossal, Tenzin, and Tony’s vision. The battle between Tony & Java was too fast for human eyes to keep up with, so they slowed down the livestream by 0.50 times. Not only that, but they could also see graphic analytics of Tony, Tenzin, and Java as well, showing their energy outputs, levels, and damage each has taken. “Although Tony seems to be losing, his analytics show that he isn’t taking much damage,” Chemic stated.
“Exactly, Cyber guaranteed us that Tony will win this fight so let us trust him, he hasn't let us down yet and I don’t believe he will start now. I mean the guy is sleeping while his best friend is fighting a Cybortron, he must have absolute confidence that Tony will come out on top,” the Colonel said as her trust in Cyber remained strong.
Ninja sighed, “Maybe Tony is not taking this seriously?”
Chemic analyzed Tony’s analytics, “Well, the stats also show that he is nowhere near his maximum energy output. I think he is trying to preserve his energy for more important battles by using as little energy output as he can.”
“And how’s that working for him, he should use maximum output and end this quickly,” Bradley said hastily.
“Let him handle this battle how he sees fit, Bradley. I’m sure he has his reasons for not going all out against this governor,” the Colonel said. “Let’s just hope he ends this soon, I’m just itching to get out there.”
The rebels smiled in agreement with the Colonel as they continued to spectate the battlefield. As Tony was getting pulverized into the ground, he let out a burst of Burgundy signifying his convergence to 120% energy output and forcing away Java. Converging beyond 120% would be a waste, so I should focus on my energy ratio from now on. Let's see how 120% works against Java. With an energy ratio of 6:4, Tony instantly closed the gap between Java & himself. Tackling Java to the ground, a flurry of Burgundy punches were thrown at Java. Unable to dodge, Java vigorously diverted the attacks away from his body before creating an opening allowing him to lightning-thrust Tony in the gut and forcing him away from Java. Getting up quickly, Java dashed at Tony who also dashed at him. The two threw a punch that collided against each other causing a burst of electricity and Burgundy to clash and release a wave of energy. A flurry of punches was launched from both sides causing more collisions and more bursts of energy. The two were at a deadlock as neither side was succumbing to either’s power. However, Java was beginning to feel the strain of trying to match Tony’s strength as the internal structures of his arms were being battered withstanding Tony’s Burgundy punches.
What ecstasy! I can finally bring it all out, and unleash the raging desire that has been waiting for the one that will allow me to go all out! As electricity started erratically flowing out of Java, Tony backed away and witnessed Java converge to his maximum energy output. A massive bolt of lightning erupted from Java and pierced the cloudy sky. Everyone bore witness to the vivacity of Java’s ecstatic convergence as all the sentinels marveled in awe.
The rebels seemed daunted at the sight of Java’s convergence as everyone had their eyes widened or their jaws dropped. “M- Maybe it was a good thing, we sat this battle out,” Ninja stuttered sheepishly.
The other rebels remained silent realizing that they may be in over their heads with this war. It didn’t help that Java was only their first opponent and might be their weakest opponent in the entire Mavis Empire.
While the rebels contemplated their situation, Java was feeling out his all-out state, never had he ever felt such a euphoria, like a rush of adrenalin or a high of drugs. Tony was troubled by what he was seeing, this doesn’t look good, 200% is no joke. Should I converge more? Maybe I should stick to my energy ratio strategy. He’s emitting way too much energy for me not to be concerned though, I should converge, right? Just to 150%, that should be enough, right?
With a flash of lightning, Tony found himself tumbling away and crashing against the outer rim wall. Still dazed by what just happened and embedded in the wall, Tony was left vulnerable to another attack from Java who punched him through the wall and into the Mavis Empire. Colliding with cars and buildings, Tony finally recovered only to get his face grabbed and thrown through buildings. Java was in a flow as launched a rush of attacks on Tony, giving him no chance to recover. His tumbling was hindered as he crashed against a metal structure, Tony still seemed to be dazed as Java stood before him and looked down at him with a smirk. “Come on Tony! Are you not Lord Quinn’s greatest creation? Is this all Lord Quinn has to offer? No! I don’t think so, now get up and put up a better fight!” Java said as he grabbed Tony by the wrist vigorously throwing him in the air and kicking him away.
Let's keep the focus on my energy ratio for now, converging more will be my last resort. Let me try a different ratio. Tony reconfigured his energy ratio from 6:4 to 4:6, focusing more energy on Blue than Red causing his energy to shift from Burgundy to a Royal Indigo.
Hooo, his aura changed colour again and there are sparks of electricity buzzing around him, does it mean he’s taking this fight seriously now? One way to find out. Java swiftly attacked Tony but he was able to barely block the attack leaving Java to wonder if Tony could keep blocking his attacks as he threw more punches at him. Able to block a few, Tony tanked the rest of the punches. His speed has increased, but it's not at my level yet. He’s not even trying to counter my attacks and his blocks seem weaker than previous ones... Did he sacrifice his strength for speed? He must have, then does that mean he’s at his limit in energy output? Java stopped attacking Tony and looked at him with disappointment, “Surely this isn’t the limit to your power, Tony?”
Tony glared back at him and threw a few punches at Java who dodged each punch with ease and even countered with an electric palm thrust to Tony’s abdomen. Tony began coughing out blood hunched on the ground, when was the last time I ever coughed out blood?… I don’t think I can beat him by holding back, his battle IQ and experience far surpass mine, I mean he is an AI after all… The only way to defeat him is to completely overpower him.
Shifting his energy back to Maroon, Tony got up in front of Java and glared at a smirking Java. “Ha, you might wanna step back there governor,” Tony warned.
Java kept smirking as he stood his ground ecstatically and waited for Tony to do his worst. As the energy reactor was powering up, Maroon began radiating out from Tony. The metal ground beneath and around Tony started to become very malleable as he sunk a bit, the heat he was emitting even forced Java to back away. A massive wave of Maroon was released from Tony, forcing Java even further back; causing glass windows to shatter while the ground & cars in the street started to become like metal in a furnace. Tony’s convergence had finished when the Maroon stopped building up, leaving a maroon haze around Tony. Java had protected himself from the wave of Maroon but his arms had gained burn marks from the wave. This is it, this must be his full power, him going all-out. He’s releasing a lot of heat, so much that it's melting the ground and burnt my arms, must be the main property of the energy he’s using. No matter, let's see what he can do.
Back at the lab, the rebels were astounded by Tony’s convergence, but Chemic was more flabbergasted by Tony’s energy output. “Are you guys seeing this?! He has an energy output of 250%, that’s enough to power up the shelter and HQ for a few days,” Chemic explained excitedly.
The rebels were left in awe, “How did Cyber even manage to suppress such a vast amount of energy into Tony and what even is that type of energy?” Chemic wondered in excitement.
“You can ask him when he wakes up, but right now the question that needs to be asked is whether this level of convergence is enough to defeat a governor?” the Colonel asked.
“I don’t know, I guess we’ll have to see,” Chemic replied as everyone continued observing the battle.
Tony’s skin had maroon circuit patterns glowing within it and his eyes luminously radiated maroon. Tony took a deep breath and exhaled steam as he lifted his hand and pulled it back to his chest then flicked it toward Java who was standing down the road from him. With such a distance between them, Java’s guard was down, not expecting an attack to hit him in the chest and send him flying backward through a building. Left in perplexion, Java chuckled as he looked down at his chest. What the hell was that attack? He just flicked his hand at me and boof, I’m just sent crashing into buildings. That attack packed a lot of heat, it left a big dent in my chest. Any human would’ve died from that, probably even Codey would’ve succumbed to such an attack… An effective attack, but it won’t work again, that first one just caught me off guard.
Like a mirage, Java lost sight of Tony until he felt a wave of extreme heat touch the left of his face. At the last moment, Java barely dodged Tony’s punch as he backed away from him. However, since the punch hit nothing but air, a heat discharge ran rampant until hitting a few cars and a building wall. Getting hit by that would end this battle instantly... But this is just what it was like at the beginning of this battle, he has more strength than me and I have more speed than him. So let me use that to my advantage.
Java vanished before Tony and attacked from behind, throwing an electric punch at Tony’s head. The attack landed but to Java’s shock, Tony didn’t even budge and electric discharge didn’t even affect him as the force from the attack moved cars and caused dent in the ground. Why is he unaffected by my attack? He has tanked my attacks before, but he usually is still affected by them so he moves in some way. But this time, he didn’t even flinch like an immovable object. Java vanished again leaving nothing but after images of him. Making it seem like he was going to attack from all sides with his afterimages, Java launched multiple electric strikes at Tony‘s whole body. However, once again, Tony was unmoved. He has far surpassed me in strength that my attacks do not affect him anymore, even at my full strength, I am vulnerable. But that doesn’t mean that this is over, there are more ways to attack other than throwing punches and kicks.
Tony just stood there and tanked Java’s attacks as he knew that his attack wouldn’t affect him anymore. If he is unable to damage me then this fight is as good as mine. Now I just need to create an opening to land the final blow and end this battle. Tony had a plan and executed it swiftly as he shifted his energy to Blue causing his aura to change and become ecstatic with erratic sparks of electricity. Confused by the sudden change in aura, Java stopped in his tracks and analyzed Tony. He’s buzzing with more electricity than usual and his aura has changed to blue. This doesn’t make sense, I thought he was using a different kind of energy… Unless-
Java's trend of thought was disrupted when Tony vanished from his sight, only to feel his arms wrap tightly around him. Java vigorously resisted as best he could to get out of Tony’s bear hug, but it was futile as Tony's arms were locked in. “Let go of me you coward! What is the meaning of this?” Java protested.
The sparks of electricity dissipated and Tony's body began heating up more as he shifted from Blue to Maroon and began powering up his energy reactor for a powerful attack. Java growled and grunted continuing his resistance by bashing his head against Tony’s but to no effect as the extreme heat kept building up. “What are you doing?!” Java demanded an answer.
Tony smirked at Java, “You put up a good fight, Governor Java, but our fight has come to an end.”
Realizing that no matter what he did, he wouldn’t be able to break free of Tony’s hold, Java stopped struggling and chuckled to himself. “When two conquerors fight, one is bound to lose and the other victorious. The loser is left with two choices, become a coward or become a survivor. In this moment, I choose to become a survivor.”
Maroon radiance was seen far and wide as Tony’s attack was ready, “I don’t know what you’re talking about, but you ain’t surviving this, governor.”
Java chuckled at Tony, “Your ignorance amuses me, but you’ll find out what I mean when the time comes.”
Like a rumbling, a burst of Maroon erupted from him enveloping Java before incinerating his skin, wires, skeleton, and everything that existed of Java. Maroon had dispersed and vanished, leaving behind the damage it had caused as buildings were partially destroyed while pavements & tar were debris. Tony’s body was releasing steam as he collapsed himself to the ground, “Ahhh, that was a lot of energy used just one guy… oh yeah, I need to give the all clear to those rebels.”
Knowing that the rebels were watching him, Tony raised a thumb up to his face, allowing them to see the signal through his vision. “Alright guys, that’s our queue, get ready,” the Colonel said as she warped out of the lab and found herself in the armored truck.
The Colonel switched on the engine, VROOM, driving off toward the Mavis Empire as they were 2 km from the outer rim wall.
