Chapter Two: The School
T
hey went through the wall feeling a fuzzy warm feeling wash over their being as if they were being shaken.
When they got through they found themselves in a new realm somewhat different from Manchester, the realm’s air was minty and fresh as if just washed by a dry cleaner, and different types of creatures that would have never been thought of to exist lurked around seemingly tamed, these creatures seemed to surround a large compound with a huge building in its middle the building reaching almost thirty feet in height forty-six feet in width and 20 in length, it was massive. The creatures were also magnificent and large a dragon flew above the school its eyes fixated on the car as it flew past its huge grey-black wings flapping gusts of wind as it passed, a gigantic breed of a mixture of ants and dog passed the car as its six furry legs treaded on the smooth earth road.
The three friends got out of the car and glanced around the newly found serene environment it almost looked too good to be true.
“Wow,” said Camila in total awe of the tremendous beauty of the place.” I’ve seen this place in magic notes but I didn’t know it was this… beautiful”
“ Hm it’s quite nice but… what is that,” said Jayke as he gazed behind the large building.
“ It’s darkness, “ said Calister as his eyes showed white and studied the building. “Perhaps we would go check it o…”
Calister was cut off by a boy about Cam’s height with green eyes and thick brown hair set in a messy hairstyle way, and a badge with the school’s crest attached to it.” He looks like an Earth dragon” thought Calister.
“There’ll be no need for that I’m your guide, my name is Devin may I have your names, powers, type of chaoren, information of your parents and every other thing of such sort.” Said Devin with a not-so-trusting grin spreading across his face.
The others just stared in utter bewilderment at the sudden appearance of Devin but Calister wasn’t shocked as he could sense the magic in Devin that allowed him to appear from nowhere he smirked and then stretched out his hand as Devin shook it. “I’m Calister Madrigal, we would love to be taken on this tour first then we would disclose our identities to you”
“Sure” agreed Devin. He turned and walked towards the grey and white gate of the large building they followed him closely to not miss anything of the tour.
“Welcome to the Divine school of conjuration and magic alike,” said Devin as he opened the school gates, looking more beautiful on the inside, “this is the school’s training grounds for melee and ranged combat skills for defence.
“Hi, Devin” shouted a girl from the side of them the girl had a lean stature with blond hair that was packed into a ponytail and darkened red eyes that shimmered as she punched a tree out of the compound. She relaxed her back and then smiled “I’ll see you tonight?”
“Yeah” winked Devin.
They went deeper into the school, entering a vast hallway and then a large classroom.
He paused and said “This is the potions room you can come here for classes and brew potions”
He then showed them the classrooms, dining hall, and library. As soon as they got there Cam decided to leave the tour and stay in the library, they then continued the tour as Devin showed them the arcana room where most of the magical types of equipment are kept, the blood banks and vervain storage, wolfsbane storage room, the mages hall, wolves hall, vampires hall, transfiguration court for seeing into the future and past, students were hurdled up everywhere too engulfed in their chatter to bother about the new faces as they walked about, he showed them the kitchen and the chefs which gave them scones, then he finally led them to their dorms in which they were given their king-sized beds and shown the magic training centre inside their dorm room that could be accessed by only them that can be used to train their abilities and then he handed them a students handbook.
“This is the end of the tour, I would like your names, powers type of chaoren and parent identification”
“My name you already know but anyway I’m a hybrid of both werewolf and mage, weremage some call it I also have these visions like the clairvoyant species have in my sleep, is that enough for ya?” said Calister not wanting to disclose any more information about himself or family.
“Nah, you forgot your parents,” said Devin with a smirk on his face.
“Ugh, my mum is a light mage and my dad is the Alpha werewolf of the Nothern Werewolf pack of the Chaoren in Nothern England,” said Calister grudgingly.
“And you?” said Devin his gaze now shifted to Jayke whose eyes were staring at him seductively, Devin smiled at what Jayke was doing. He then said in Jayke’s mind “Meet me at 9:00 pm in my dorm, the one after this one after dinner”
Jayke looked up in shock at Devin and blushed.
“And you?” repeated Devin with a devious grin now spreading across his face.
“Oh, well, uh my mom’s a forest witch or nature mage and my dad’s a general of the American army he was mutated with inhumane super strength, speed, agility, and flight, so basically I have all these powers plus my mother’s and my name is Jayke Coleman.” said, Jayke
“So how are you going to remember all this, huh?” asked Calister with a smirk.
“I don’t need to,” said Devin with a pen and notebook in his hands.
“What the hell,” thought Calister as he tried to reason what had just happened.
“So I’ll go and leave you guys to it, hm,” said Devin
Calister and Jayke turned their backs to enter their room.
“Uh, wait before you go your ages,” said Devin
“We’re both eighteen,” said Jayke.
“Ok, good,” said Devin as he walked away.
‘’Your classes are a few meters away from here and are eleventh-year classes, good luck and bye,’’ said Devin as he winked at Jayke and then vanished.

Camila was going through some books, using her magic to levitate as book after book floated to her palms. She then saw a boy losing her balance in the air. He had dark red hair that was shaved in a fade cut, his eyes the colour of blood orange, heart-shaped lips and a killer body, her heart suddenly started thumping beneath her skin her face now burning red, causing her to lose her balance entirely and making her fall down allowing her blouse to expose a part of her succulent bust. He smiled at her and then helped her up.
“Hi, I’m Kai Kornol, I’m a blood fire witch and vamp.” He said while staring at her opened maroon blouse and blushing.
Her cheek even burning harder. She corrected her current demeanour with a thought as a small breeze closed her blouse and straightened her hair, and then with an outstretched hand she said
“Hi, I’m Camila Rodriguez, I’m of the brainiac species and a dark mage.”
“OK, nice to meet you, Camila Rodriguez,’ smiled Kai ‘Guess I’ll see you around?” he asked, his left eyebrow raised in question and hope.
“Yeah, sure…see you later’’ said Camila her cheeks now as red as a tomato.
“Good,’ he turned then said ‘make sure not to fall again all right?”
“Yeah, no probs,” she said shyly.
Kai smiled and then walked away.
“Wow…wow,…dayum, he’s, hawt”, thought Cam as she fanned herself with her hand.
Her eyes were still on his back as he walked away, she picked up her books and then went in the direction of where Devin had told her her dorm room was.

Cal took out his phone and then FaceTimed his mum.
“I’m at school”
“Darling, how you doing’’ said Tristine, Cal’s phone showing her kneading dough of pizza on their kitchen counter.
“Not bad, the school’s quite nice but there’s one problem: the school is a boarding school.”
“Oh…” said Tristine as she flipped the pizza dough.
“Yeah, so I need you to send over my luggage and…”
“Done,” said Tristine now in Cal’s room.
“Hm?”
“I have sent over your luggage, books, toiletries, spare phone, charger, teleport watch, and 24,000 pounds that should be enough right? I could send more if you need…”
“ Mum, you’re amazing”
“Awwn, thanks my sweetie”
“OK see you later mum”
“See you later I need to get back to my baking anyway”
“Yeah, goodbye,” said Caluel as his mum cut the call.
Caluel got off his bed and looked around wondering where the luggage went. He then opened up his wardrobe just to find everything neatly arranged in it and his dark watch placed on the desk beside his bed. He picked it up and wore it. He grabbed his phone and walked out to the hallway that connected everywhere in the school. According to the student handbook, it was time for lunch and he was starving so by following the map in the handbook he found himself in the large dining area lined with wooden chairs that had red foam cushions the large tables lined with gold causing the place to look like a throne room.
He rang up Jayke’s cell phone, but it kept going through to voice mail. He rolled his eyes in disgust then closed his eyes immediately he could see Jayke hitting on a girl. He opened his eyes and then sighed.
He put his phone in his pocket and went on his way to look for a seat a tall guy with dark hair and eyes bumped into him.
“Watch it freak,” said the guy
“From what I see you’re the freak,” said Caluel
“Imma mess you up,” said the guy
“I’d like to see you try,” said Caluel his eyes now glowing.
“Oh hell no,” said Camila appearing from nowhere.
She pulled Caluel away and then whispered to him
“Don’t let your werewolf anger get the best of you,” she said
“But…”
“No buts Cal you’ll end up in prison, here,’ said Camila as she grabbed his arm and released small black energy into him then pulled it back out the energy coming out darker than before.
“What did you do”
“I just took your anger away”
“Oh no wonder I feel calmer”
“Yeah anyway though let’s eat”
Then everyone else went back to their seats.
Cam’s eyes flickered black with the dark aura she had taken away from Cal now affecting her like it always did, the dark magic that flowed in her blood whispering in her mind urging her to lash out. She brushed them away and continued walking with Cal.
They found Jayke at the other end of the dining, he seemed to be reclining with his face scrunched up in what seemed like pleasure.
“What the hell?” said Cam
“Typical Jayke” chuckled Cal
Cam’s eyes glowed white as she studied Jayke at the table he sat beside. However, she could see a girl through the table her mouth around Jayke’s shaft as her lips went sideways up and down.
“Oh wow,” said Cam, her eyes dimming to their normal colour.
“What did you see,’ smirked Cal’ Oh wait, lemme guess he’s getting a…”
“Yeah”
Cal laughed with no hint of surprise.
The whispers then came back again seeming stronger and more proficient than normal causing her to have a severe headache that caused her head to bang.
“Um, you know what Cal, Imma skipped lunch see you later,” said Cam as she headed out of the dining.
“Oh ok,” said Cal
Cam had gone to the school’s luscious garden which was heavily endowed with colourful mystical flowers that covered the garden’s large plains. The garden teemed with life as animals wandered around.
She hurriedly went to the closest bench and let out a small impulse of dark magic that withered some flowers finally causing the whispers to stop. She then calmed down her raging breath and headed for the dining again when a phoenix landed on her shoulder, its fiery body now calmed to show its beautiful red, orange and beautiful yellow and golden tail feathers. The design of the scruff of the bird looking like the raging flames of golden fire.
“Well aren’t you beautiful,” said, Cam as she smoothed the bird’s back just as she caught a glimpse of flaming phoenixes gathering around something. She turned around in shock and with magic sizzling at her fingertips she went closer to the sight, allowing her to see a figure, as she went closer, the figure became more proficient and she could make out from all the phoenixes a human body with what seemed like ginger-red hair. Suddenly the figure turned and she could see who it was in all the phoenixes’ glory. Kai. Kai Kornel. She stood in utter bewilderment, the magic now leaving her fingertips and her face turning red as she blushed uncontrollably. Kai who had heard from the fiery creatures that a human was coming was already prepared, just for him to see a blushing Camila rooted in place.
Camila stared into his now fiery eyes and wondered what mystery lay behind them.
Kai whispered in an unknown language to the phoenixes, causing them to settle around him.
“Hey, it’s Cam right?” asked Kai in a slightly deeper and friendly voice.
“Yeah, it’s Camila, but you can call me Cam” smiled.
Suddenly a phoenix flew to Cam about to perch on her shoulder but Cam stretched her hand out for the bird when it let out a large shriek and then burned up till it was ashes.
Cam was terrified out of her mind.
“What the hell just happened” she exclaimed in fear.
“It just got scared but don’t worry it is a phoenix they are bound to rise from their ashes… like now,” said Kai as the ashes of the bird started to give way then out emerged the phoenix in a new brighter light as it flew away into the school’s forests.
“Oh wow” exclaimed Cam in adoration.
“They’ll get used to you sooner or later, no worries” smiled Kai.
Soon they chatted all day long not even minding the time as it flew by. Soon after, a creature with bell-like structures around it and two gold wings that flapped as fast as a hummingbird’s hovered towards them letting out a ding noise as it flew around.
Cam caught sight of the creature and then asked,
“What is that”
“It’s a bellding and by the looks of it it’s time for dinner,”
“Hm? A what?” Cam looked at him inquisitively.
“All I know is that they are tameable creatures that live in the enchanted forests behind the school and when they don’t detect movement around them after a ding they get agitated and let out a…”
Kai was cut off as the bellding rang stridently with ominous vigorousness. The noise caused a deafening pain in their heads. They grabbed their heads in pain and rushed out of the garden away from the creature.
