Andy:”That concludes the first stage , if you only came here to complete the first part of the entry competition , you may leave”

 

A good chunk of participants leave, leaving about

120 members left

 

Andy: “Prepare for the combat stage , you all have 20 minutes”

 

Luke: “YEAAAAH, I’M KICKING EVERYONE’S ASS”

 

Ethan: “I’ve been preparing for this. If I lose. For that I must commit seppuku”

 

Charlotte: “No way we lose here , we’re way too strong right gale ?”

 

Gale: “R-r-right”

 

Charlotte:”I’m stronger though”

 

Alex: “This is for you mom…dad, I definitely won’t lose here “

 

 

Chapter 3

*After 20 minutes everyone enters the sparring room*

 

Andy: "To further elaborate on how this stage will go down, as you can see we have multiple mats. This is the room we use to spar, remember this isn't something you HAVE to win in order to make it but the higher ups including me will be watching, so you'll want to give it your all. Since we have multiple mats we will be running the fights simultaneously to save time.

 

First match will be hand to hand combat, any fighting style is allowed, with that being said, we will use 4 of the mats

 

We will have Alex vs Luke on the first mat

Ethan vs Hakeem On the second Mat

Gale Vs Bryan on the third mat

and finally Charlotte Vs Nisha on the fourth mat

 

Each fight will be 2 rounds and once the four fights finish, the next 8 will enter for their matches, remember in order to win your opponent must hit the ground

 

Now all of you ROUND 1 BEGIN!"

 

 

*Alex compares his matchup(Luke) to himself*

*He's pretty short, If I can keep him  away I can win this* Alex thinks to himself

 

As rowdy as Luke was he starts the fight off patient

 

*He's not throwing any hits out* Alex thinks to himself

 

Alex steps up and throws a kick to keep distance

Luke immediately dodges and steps closer

 

*Not yet, he's out of my range still* Luke thinks to himself

 

Alex throws a punch

Mistaking his range

 

Luke dodges again and throws a straight punch

 

*I can't move in time, I have to block it* Alex thinks to himself

 

Alex blocks the punch

 

Luke landed it right above Alex's elbow

 

*What the hell? My arm? He punches way too hard, If I get hit again I'm done* Alex thinks to himself

 

Alex throws another kick

Luke dodges to the side and throws a 1-2 combo

 

Alex dodges the first one and barely dodges the second one as a cut appears on his cheek after being grazed by Luke's punch

 

Luke throws another punch

 

Alex dodges backwards to separate for space.

 

*He's solely focused on punching, If I can go for his legs I can win this round. All I have to do is get him to the ground, they never said how.* Alex thinks to himself

 

Alex steps up and feints a punch to Luke's right side

Alex takes advantage of the blindside with Luke's arm covering his right eye and attempts to trip him

 

But Luke with one thing on his mind which was getting into his range speedily ran towards Alex, and threw a heavy punch straight into Alex's stomach.

 

Alex spits as he slowly falls down to his knees

 

 

Andy: "Alex Vs Luke Round 1 Complete! Luke is  Victorious. Now you two rest until everyone else's first round is complete, you can then start your second rounds."

 

*He's so small but punches so strong, But there has to be a way around that, I can try to keep my range with kicks but he moves faster than I can kick so I have to fight using what's best for speed. I can also go for his legs but if he's constantly trying to close the space then that won't work either. Maybe if I  constantly try to extend the space I can tire him out, He seems to be moving a lot more than I am so maybe I can make it work* Alex contemplates to himself

 

Luke: "Great match, Can't wait to fight you in the second round"

 

*Alex is still in heavy thought*

 

Luke:"Helloooo?"

 

Alex:"Oh sorry, you really did your thing out there. great match"

 

Andy looks at Alex and Luke

*Alex seems to already know our basic fighting style, but Luke is extremely powerful, we can possibly use them as great assets on the field* Andy thinks to himself

 

 

Ethan and Hakeem are fighting(All the fights started at the same time)

 

Hakeem runs in very sloppily towards Ethan and Ethan simply trips him winning the First round

 

Ethan: "Do you know how to fight young warrior?"

 

Hakeem: "Aren't we the same age? And YES I KNOW HOW TO FIGHT THAT WAS JUST A MISTAKE!"

 

Ethan:"Warriors aren't allowed to make mistakes on the field, for that you must... Commit Shippuku"

 

Hakeem: "Isn't it Seppuku?"

 

Ethan:"OH MY GOODNESS YOU ARE SO RIGHT... For that I must commit shippuku"

 

Hakeem: "You DUMBASS"

 

*How did I lose to this numb skull?* Hakeem  thinks to himself

 

*Can Hakeem even fight? This doesn't seem like a fair matchup* Andy thinks to himself

Andy: "Ethan vs Hakeem Round 1 Complete! Luke is  Victorious. Now you two rest until everyone else's first round is complete, you can then start your second rounds."

 

 

*The beginning of Gale and Bryan's fight*

 

Bryan: "Don't think just because you're a girl I'll go easy on you, In fact that just makes me want to fight even harder" he says with a crazed stare

 

Gale: "I-I-I Won't G-g-go easy e-e-either!"

 

Bryan runs in and throws a low kick

 

Gale's instincts kick in and she dodges back and hooks her foot under Bryan's foot

 

Bryan loses his footing but doesn't fall

 

Gale throws a punch while Bryan is stumbling

 

Bryan Catches it and attempts to throw her over his shoulder

 

Bryan Completes the throw but Gale lands on her feet and does the exact same move using the force from the initial throw to throw Bryan over her shoulder

 

Gale completes the throw and Bryan lands on his back

 

Gale: "G-g-great match!"

 

Bryan angrily walks to the resting benches

*I'll make sure to break every bone in her body next round* Bryan thinks to himself

 

 

*That girl Gale seems to be another powerhouse, Bryan is too but he has little to no control over his emotions* Andy thinks to himself

 

Andy: "Gale  vs Bryan Round 1 Complete! Luke is  Victorious. Now you two rest until Charlotte and Nisha's first round is complete, you can then start your second rounds."

 

 

*Charlotte and Nisha's fight*

 

Nisha runs in and throws a punch

Charlotte moves to the side

 

Charlotte: "If that's all you have, then I guess I've already won"

 

Nisha: "Don't get cocky , all you did was dodge one punch"

 

Nisha begins to throw a flurry of punches

 

Charlotte dodges all of them

 

Nisha: "I'm going to win just watch."

 

Charlotte: "Don't get hopeful, you haven't even landed one punch"

 

 

Nisha throws a kick

 

Charlotte grabs her leg and twists her to the ground

 

Charlotte: "That was easy"

 

*You cocky asshole* Nisha thinks to herself

 

*Charlotte seems really good at grappling, Nisha is just a loose cannon and with Charlotte's taunting she easily gets out of character* Andy thinks to himself

 

Andy: "You two rest I'll tell you when to start up again"

 

 

Luke: "Everyone's done, time for me to win again" Luke says with a smile

 

Alex silently walks up to the Mat

 

Alex and Luke both get into their stances

 

Andy: "Begin!"

 

 

Luke is playing the patient game again waiting for Alex to slip up

 

Alex purposely telegraphs a kick and feints immediately

And exactly what he expected happened, Luke rushed in

 

as Luke rushed in Alex stepped back

 

*If I can do this every time , I can slow him down and get him tired* Alex thinks to himself

 

*If I assume he's not going to throw a hit he might actually get me, I can't take any chances* Luke thinks to himself

 

Alex telegraphs a feint again and Luke rushes in again as Alex steps back

 

*Wearing him out? That's smart since his opponent is faster than him* Andy thinks to himself

 

After Luke chased Alex around the ring for a couple minutes Luke finally threw a punch without being baited this time, but the punch was noticeably slower than the previous ones, Alex threw a punch straight to Luke's stomach, but it didn't pack much power since it was the same arm he got hit in the previous round

 

Luke throws another punch and Alex steps back and sweep kicks him getting Luke on the ground

 

 

Andy: "Alright since the fight was one/one you both get to pick your next opponents for the Melee weapon round after everyone finishes their hand to hand fight and you cannot pick each other. "

 

Alex and Luke: "Yes sir!"

 

*My strategy worked, if only I could've won the first round though* Alex thinks to himself

 

*Damn it I lost* Luke thinks to himself

 

Alex: "Hey Officer Nado."

 

Andy: "Yes?"

 

Alex: "Why are the fights only two rounds?"

 

Andy: "The point is only to deduct your combat skills, not to win so we didn't want anyone trying TOO hard here, now rest up so you're ready for the third phase"

 

Alex: "Alright"

 

Luke: "I'd like to spar with you again, next time I won't lose"

 

Alex: "Sure, I wouldn't mind"

 

 

 

*Ethan and Hakeems Fight*

 

Hakeem screams and runs towards Ethan

 

Ethan punches him in his stomach

 

Hakeem  drops but stands back up and throws a punch with his thumbs inside his hand

 

Ethan grabs his fist and takes the thumb out and puts it in the right position

 

Ethan: "This is how you make a fist"

 

Hakeem: "Are you looking down on me?"

 

Ethan: "You're taller than me , I can't look down on you" as Ethan says with a smile as if hakeem made a joke

 

Hakeem: "This isn't a game"

 

Hakeem throws another punch with his thumb tucked

 

Ethan grabs his hand again and holds his hand up in a fist

Ethan: "I just told you it's like this "

Ethan then punches him in the stomach again with the same hand he used to demonstrate

 

Hakeem drops to the ground

 

Ethan: "Even shippuku isn't enough for shame like this"

 

Hakeem passes out

 

The paramedics get Hakeem out on a stretcher and to the medical room

 

*Gale and Bryans Fight*

 

Bryan slowly walks up to Gale

 

Bryan throws two punches

 

Gale dodges both and throws a punch of her own

 

Bryan smacks her  hand out the way and knocks Gale off balance

 

Bryan then pushes Gale to the ground then jumps up and trys to punch Gale in the face while on the ground

 

Gale rolls out the way and Bryan breaks the part of the mat he punched(the mat is made of burlap, same as sandbags)

 

Bryan:"It's not a win for me until you're dead"

 

Gale says nothing

 

Andy:"Stop it!"

 

Gale puts her hand up to Andy signaling she's got this

 

she then  gets up and runs behind Bryan

 

Bryan pulls his hand out the mat and turns around only to be met by gales foot

 

Bryan gets kicked and blood drips from his nose

 

Bryan: "I'm going to murder you"

 

Gale: "..."

Gale spouts out nothing but deep breaths

 

Bryan tries to throw a kick to Gale's face

 

Gale catches the kick and trips Bryan to the ground

 

Gale then stomps right next to Bryan's face as he's on the ground and also breaks the mat

 

She pulled her foot out the ground and sat next to him

 

Bryan: "Get away from me you freak!" He said with fear in his eyes

 

Gale: "I thought you were going to murder me, what happened to that?"

 

Bryan starts screaming

 

Andy: "That's enough"

 

Gale:"S-s-sorry"

 

Bryan walks away shaking

 

 

*Charlotte and Nisha's Fight*

 

Nisha runs up and throws a hook

 

Charlotte Ducks and punches Nisha In the Face

 

Charlotte: "Just give up alr-"

 

Nisha: "Wow you're that weak? No wonder you keep grabbing"

 

Charlotte: "You can't beat me either way so what does it matter"

 

Nisha:"All I have to do is make sure you don’t grab me"

 

Nisha throws a straight punch but it was a feint

 

Charlotte misses the grab attempt and Nisha kicks her in the stomach

 

Charlotte try's to stay up but falls to one knee with her fist on the ground

 

Nisha: "That was easy"

 

Charlotte Punches the ground and walks off

 

*All the other rounds of fighters pass*

 

Andy: "We got all the combat info we need, thank you all for  participating. This info might decide who your mentor will be, but not for sure considering we have one more stage left
