**RECAP**

Andy: "Enter the preparation room and put on your suits, you can talk to the operator about which melee weapon you want..."

Ethan and Luke suit up

Ethan: "I'll take a trusty katana"

Operator: "No problem"

Luke: "Can I get two daggers?"

Operator: "I got you"

Luke and Ethan walk out in their simulation body suits.

Andy: "Now enter this room and put this VR headset on, once you enter the simulation you'll be broadcasted on the screens on the walls"

Luke and Ethan enter and put on their headsets

Andy: "Everyone face the screen! The simulation has begun!"

Chapter 7

Luke: "Where are we?"

Ethan: "This appears to be East Tek."

Operator: "..llo...Hello? Can you guys hear me?"

Luke and Ethan: "Yes."

Operator: "You've been sent out to find the source responsible for killing the man known as James Smith. Look at your wrists; on the screen of your glove, I've sent the coordinates of the location he was last seen in."

Ethan: "Many thanks, we will find the suspect."

Luke: "Let's do it."

Ethan and Luke walk to the location and pass "Burger Palace."

Luke: "Let's take a stop, I am hungry."

Ethan: "We are on a mission, Luke, and we are within a simulation, so you cannot digest food here."

Luke: "Oh, you're right."

Luke: "Well, you seem cool, wanna grab a bite at Burger Palace after the Entry Competition? Food's on you?"

Ethan: "Sur- WAIT NO, I WILL PAY FOR NO SUCH THINGS."

Luke: "Too late, you already agreed." Luke says with a smirk.

Everyone watching them in the simulation laughs except for Alex and Nigel.

Alex catches Nigel looking at him with a sense of discontent.

Alex pretends not to see him, though.

Operator: "Focus on the mission, you guys."

Luke: "RIGHT! I have a free meal after this."

Ethan: "NO, YOU DON'T!"

Alex and Luke approach a house.

Operator: "This is the place, now enter the house."

Ethan and Luke enter the house.

Luke: "It's so empty in here. ECHOOO!!!!"

Ethan: "Stop that! What if someone of interest is here and leaves because of you?"

Luke: "Oops, sorry."

Ethan and Luke check around the house.

Ethan comes across an office.

Ethan: "Luke! Come here!"

Luke: "I'm coming!"

Luke and Ethan are in front of a door with a hole in it, like someone somehow punched a hole in it.

Ethan: "They didn't do a good job of covering this up."

Luke tries to open the door, but it's locked.

Luke then tries to kick a hole by the door knob so he can open it by the other side.

But Luke received more impact than the door did.

Luke: "What is this door made of?"

Ethan: "And who was able to make a hole in it?"

Luke: "You think it's a weapon?"

Ethan: "It'd have to be some type of gauntlet then; the hole is fist-shaped."

Operator: "You guys find anything?"

Luke: "We came across a locked door, and it's too strong to break or bust open."

Operator: "What kind of lock does the door have? Can you see it in the side of the door?"

Ethan: "Yes, I see it?"

Operator: "See if you can find a card, maybe you can slide the lock back in the door and open it."

Luke: "Oh, I've got one. I found it in the other room."

Luke puts the card in the little slot of the door frame so that he can shift the lock to the side and open it.

The door opens.

Luke and Ethan see a dead body with spots of blood on the floor next to his face.

Ethan: "Is this the victim?" Ethan points his glove cam at the body.

Operator: "Yes, try to look around for any leads."

Ethan: "Luke, look around for the leads. I'll investigate the body."

Luke looks around.

Ethan talking to the operator.

Ethan: "It looks like he was struck by a punch; that's probably why this blood is next to his face on the floor. He probably spit it out after being knocked down, but the damage from this punch isn't enough to kill a man."

Luke: "Do you think it could've been with whatever put a hole in this door?"

Ethan: "No, something with enough force to break anything in that door would've done more than break his jaw; the damage is simply too little."

Ethan notices a red pill on the ground.

Ethan: "Operator, what's this?"

Ethan points his glove camera at the pill.

Operator: "It's a newer drug referred to as 'Red Fury'; the effects we are aware of are it causing massive anger as it also stimulates the brain, giving them a high, and it also removes their sense of pain. We discovered a victim who also lost their life to this pill."

Ethan: "So, something like this happened before. If that's the case, Luke, come here."

Luke: "What's up?"

Ethan: "Here's what I assume happened here: I believe this James character was used as a test subject, but after hearing the effects of the drug, it seems to have gone like this: James most likely volunteered himself to test out this drug. The one providing it was probably there to watch to make sure everything went accordingly. After the effects kicked in, James must've gotten angry and attempted to fight whoever was here. The fight didn't last too long, but I believe that is the reason for this hole in the wall. Just another deduction, but he probably made this hole as a threat to make him stop; after he didn't stop, he had to knock him out, which he then most likely died while he was knocked out."

Andy: "He's right on the money." Andy thinks to himself.

Alex: "He's smarter than I thought. Book smarts AREN'T that comparable to street smarts; I gave him too little credit."

Andy: "Students, I'll be back; just give me a second."

Andy calls someone and walks into the hallway.

Andy comes back inside with Abel.

Alex: "The head of the police again?"

Abel: "I figured it was only right for me to come out; I told Andy to call me earlier when the last stage of the entry competition started, but he didn't listen."

Alex: "Alright then."

Abel walks into the simulation room where the operator was and decided to watch from there for safety.

Luke: "I couldn't find anything, but can't we use the card I used to open the door?"

Ethan: "You're right, we never read the card."

Ethan and Luke read the card: "James Smith, Chief Of Staff, Central Tek Hospital," with a barcode on the bottom.

Ethan: "He was a doctor? He must've helped them with this drug then in some type of way."

Luke: "We should go to the hospital and see what we can find out."

Ethan: "Good idea, but Central Tek is kind of far."

Operator: "We're sending you a car right now, just step outside."

Ethan and Luke walk out as a police car stops right in front of them.

Luke: "With no driver?!?!?"

Operator: "All Tek City Police Department Vehicles have an auto-pilot function; it makes our jobs easier sometimes."

Luke: "COOL."

Ethan and Luke step into the car and set the location for the hospital.

The car in auto-pilot takes them there.

Operator: "Quick tidbit of information, your badge is in your left jacket pocket."

Ethan and Luke look at their simulated badges.

Ethan: "Soon I'll make sure this badge is real."

Luke: "You bet!"

Luke puts his fist out for a fist bump.

Luke: "Let's promise to both make it."

Ethan:" It's just like in the anime, I've found another new friend." Ethan thinks to himself.

Ethan fist bumps Luke.

Luke and Ethan walk into the hospital.

Ethan walks up to the front desk.

Ethan: "Hey, would it be alright if I could check James Smith's office?"

Ethan shows the front desk clerk his badge.

Clerk: "Please go ahead, we've been worried about James."

Clerk: "You'll find his office on the 3rd floor; once you get out of the elevator, take a right then one more right. Then his office will be the second door on the left."

Luke and Ethan take the elevator and walk towards the office.

Luke: "Why is his light off?"

Ethan: "Well, he's not in the office, so it makes sense."

Luke: "But EVERYONE else's light is on."

Ethan: "Well, let's just go in there and see."

Ethan walks inside James's office.

???: "So predictable."

Ethan and Luke walked into a room with 3 people, one sitting in James's office chair, and the other two pointing guns at Luke and Ethan.
