They split up to search for Jade, the loud noises and distracting neon lights made it harder to find a short black hair girl. Mark walked into the hall of the private room where he bumped into Louise;

"Did you find her?"

"No…things would be easier if you didn't leave her alone", Louise rolled his eyes but Mark quickly defended himself "I'm sorry, okay? I saw you went to the back so I couldn't help but follow you.” 

Louise sighs as he places his hand on his hip, suddenly they hear a girl scream. Both of them looked at each other synchronously before running to the source of the scream without a second wasted. Just as Louise busts open the door, a room full of guys circles Jade and her ripped clothes. She scratches a guy's neck and bites his ear off looking like a helpless feral cat trying to defend herself. “Oi what you bastard doing here, fuck off”, a guy who was trying to hold Jade down said. 

“How about you fuck off”, Mark walked toward the guy and punch him in the face. 

They go in at all the guys in the room when Louise hears more men coming toward them, “Mark we need to get out of here!”. Mark gave a simple reply and headed to check on Jade, she didn't respond to him and her face looked terrified. “What the fuck are you doing here” another group of people who looked like gangsters busted the room. Louise swore multiple times as he fought off people who got in the room;

“MARK CARRY HER, WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!”

“WHY I’M THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO CARRY HER UGH”, Mark covers Jade’s bare shoulder with his dark green crocodile leather jacket and carries her bridal style. 

While he's carrying Jade, Louise on the other hand is clearing the path. The swiftness of his moves, the precision of his punch down to his kicks were coordinated with little hesitation like a trained fighter. The combat styles are a combination of boxing and muay Thai. In no time, they reached Louise's car with mens still chasing them down. Mark open the door with one hand and gently lays her in the back seat and swiftly gets into the front seat just before Louise drives off. 

The ride home was quiet, moving at the speed of 97mph. The yellowish streetlight gently lights up the inside of the car but also reflects Jade’s teary eyes. She bit her lip to stay quiet but the boys could hear her muffled cries. Before she knew it, she fell asleep and woke to the aromatic smell filling the car. She looks outside the window and it seems like they’re on top of the hills by the road. The scenery overlooks the city light, symbolising the upside-down night sky filled with stars. 

Jade looks at the front seat and sees the two boys munching on shawarma, her face swollen and her hair a mess. Louise looked at her from the rear mirror, “You woke up…”

“Yeah…”, she stares at his food.

“You hungry? Here is your food”, Mark hands her warm shawarma, and her stomach growls at the smell of the food. She unwrapped the foil and took a big bite while chewing on it with a glum face. “Hey drink some water you might choke”, Mark hands her a water bottle. He painfully looks at her puffy face and swelling eyes, “I’m sorry for leaving you alone…”.

Jade waited a moment to swallow her food before answering, “It’s okay… at least you guys were there before it got any worse”, she went back to her food. The way she was taking small bites and chewing so fast made Louise remind her of a kitten. Mark threw his trash out of the window and wiped his hand with some tissues; 

 

"Anyway, what do we do next?”

“We need to find Leo”, Louise said with a furious face. After swallowing her food, Jade asks, “Who's Leo?”

“A bitch,” Mark replied, short and simple.

“Not helping…” she smacks the back of Mark’s head.

Midnight has turned into sunrise, the sun has come to greet them with another day. Louise is the first one to wake up, partly because of the snores. He was amazed that their snore would sync and turn into orchestras, though not a lovely one. The three of them spend the night in his car, it was cold at night but thankfully there’s his gym bag that he left filled with water and clean spare clothes to use as a blanket. He heads out to stretch his body, letting out a relieved groan as the sun rises.

He opens the door and looks at the sleepyhead with a mischievous grin before slamming his hand on the honk. Both of them got startled, Jade let out a shriek and Mark pulled out the gun from his pocket. They both look at Louise who’s laughing loudly.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” Jade yelled with a drool all over her mouth, still half asleep.

“A payback for my shit sleep, hell I couldn't even get to dream”, Louise wiped his tears. Mark gave him a middle finger and Louise simply reciprocated it back as he got back inside the car;

“We going to Evan’s place buckled up”

Louise just started the engine when Mark told him to stop, he looked at Mark’s rough face and the grip Mark had on him. He furrowed his brows and was puzzled. 

“I gotta piss,” Mark said with a hidden urgency. Jade groaned and handed him an empty bottle “Just piss in a bottle, you have a pipe”

Louise made a noise to express his disgust “hell no, not in my car,” he quickly unlocked the car and Mark ran out straight away to a faraway bush.
