Kai: *He and Mikate were waiting on the top floor of the building. The radio piece in his ear, given to them by Mr. Recovery on the way to the building, crackled, and a voice could be heard*

-Amy: “Hey, the trial starts in under a minute. Me and Kyoge are in position, are you guys on the top floor yet?”

Mikate: “Yea, Kai’s keeping watch” *He looked over at his partner* “Psst, pull your mask and stuff on” 

Kai: “Oh! Right!” *He pulled down his first mask. It had Opaque eye-lenses. The mask was black with red lining and had tiny fox ears at the top. The back end of the mask was open, so his hair didn’t bunch up and make the mask look weird. He then pulled the metal mask that covered his mouth and nose up. He made sure everything was snug before giving a thumbs up to Mikate*

Mikate: “Dude, what’s with the fox ears?” *He asked as he tried to contain his laughter* 

Kai: “Fox ears? I don’t have fox ea-” *As he felt the top of his upper mask, he felt two pieces that felt triangle like* “I have fox ears…”

Mikate: “PFFT- Now you realize?”

~The buzzer sounded, declaring the start of the trial~

~Amy and Kyoge’ location…~

Amy: “We’ll be completing our part of the mission, stay on the comms” 

-Kai: “Gotcha, holding position” *With a click, his voice was gone, and all that could be heard was silence*

Amy: *She turned and faced her partner* “All right Kyoge, Here’s the plan. I’ll use my status and give us both invisibility and floatation, should make it easier to navigate. Remember, 1-3 minutes. We should be able to see each other though, so I’ll just hold up my fingers to tell you how much time is left, got it?”

Kyoge: *He nodded as he looked around a corner, back against the wall* “The clock's ticking, let's move.”

Amy: *she put her helmet on and put her fingertips on Kyoge’s arm* “Invisible + Floatation.” *she then put her fingertips together* “Invisible + Floatation.” *She and Kyoge were now both invisible and hovering above the ground. She could clearly see her teammate. To make sure Kyoge could see her, she stuck a thumbs up*

Kyoge: *He returned the thumbs up, and pointed around the corner, sticking two thumbs up to signal that the coast was clear*

Amy: *she nodded and began floating down the hall*

~Meanwhile, on the top floor~

Mikate: “I’m so boooored” *He groaned, lying on the ground. He rolled over to look at Kai, who was still posted near the entrance to the room they were in.* “Please tell me you see somebody-”

Kai: *He shook his head and yawned* “No, nothing yet. Sorry dude, You’re just going to have to wait until Amy and Kyoge get back.”

~An unnatural shadow passed by the hall, silently treading along.~

Kai: *He felt a shiver go down his neck and he looked back out the entrance, but saw nothing* “Strange..”

Mikate: “What?” *He quickly sat up* “Is it time to fight yet?”

Kai: “No, No. Not that. Just had a strange feeling…” 

~Amy and Kyoge soon located two members of the opposing team. They too had the idea to split up into pairs.~

Amy: *She looked at Kyoge and held up two fingers, then imitated pointing at a watch*

Kyoge: *He nodded and observed the two unknown students*

???: *A boy with dark hair, yellow eyes, and caramel colored skin put his hands behind his head and gave a loud sigh* “Man, why’d they have to go on ahead and leave us behind? They’ll come across the enemy and finish this before we can even figure out where they are!”

???: *A girl with violet eyes, ginger hair, light skin, and freckles looked at the boy next to her* “We can’t guarantee that. Remember, they sweep the upper floors while we sweep the lower floors. As long as it isn’t a 4 v 2, we can engage and cause less of a problem for Kenyan and Zane”

Kyoge: *He held up one finger, signaling the effect only had one more minute before it gave out. They had to plan something, either turn back and report or engage the enemy. He began waving his hands about, he was signing something…* ‘You understand sign?’

Amy: ‘Little. Why ask?’

Kyoge: ’We need to think fast about a backup, the effects are about to wear out, so what do we do after?’

Amy: ‘Retreat?’

Kyoge: ’Then report back? Alright. Seems like a pla-’ 

~And at that very moment….the effects wore off. The two fell to the ground with a loud thud. Now visible, the boy and girl looked at the now visible duo.~

???: *The boy looked at the two, and smiled* “Looks like we get a chance to have some fun after all!”

Kyoge: ”Shit…”

Amy: ”Busted…”
