Jax walked back to the infirmary to check up on Azlin and he saw she was awake. Quickly, he rushed to her side and knelt down by the bed.
“Azlin!! Are you okay..?”
“I’m fine..”
She frowned after the small reply and turned away from Jax. He stood up and took Azlin’s chin and forced it towards his face.
“Azlin tell me what’s wrong. I can see you’re not fine.”
“What’s bothering me…is that stupid face of yours! Didn’t i tell you i was fine? The nurse patched me up good.”
“You sure?”
“I’m super sure dude!”
Jax stood up and gave a smile, Azlin gave a smile back for no more suspicions. Jax then picked up Azlin bridal style. She started blushing and hit his chest lightly. Azlin averted her eyes and let out her trembling voice.
“W-what was that for?!”
“How are you gonna go home without me~? You’re not in the best condition to walk anyways.”
“Tch….Just get me home fast..”
“Yes ma’am!!”
He chuckled and innocently walked to the door, picking up his helmet on the way. After going through the elevator and to the parking lot. Jax spoke.
“Hey! Where do you live?”
“DX apartments, floor 2, room 4.”
“Are you picky with numbers or something?”
“Just shut up!” She gritted her teeth.
“Pffft- Angry much..”
He went to his motor cycle and placed Azlin on it, then he took his key and sat behind her once again. The motorcycle revved up and they were off heading towards the apartment.
“Will commander send us another mission soon?” Jax whispered a low, monotone voice into her ear.
“Commander likely will, since we came out of the mission mostly unscathed.”
“Mostly unscathed? You have a few bruises and cuts though, it’s gonna scar.”
“What’s done is done right? I have lots of scars.”
“Really?.”
“Not like you don’t have any! The training is brutal you should’ve came out with a few scars.”
“I don’t have any scars from there. Just because I’m that good, and I’m guessing you got a few from training?”
“Don’t make me look stupid newbie! You’ll get some eventually. We’ll see who’ll be smiling in the long run..”
“Oh so when I’m as old as you? Hehe..”
“You don’t even know how old I am, what if I’m younger than you.”
“Huhh? Then how old are you?”
“Tsk, calling me old. I’m not even old! I’m only twenty-four.”
“You are older than me then~ I’m your little work partner, only twenty-one…hahaha!!”
“Twenty-one?? Don’t you think you’re a little small for this type of work-?”
“Oh when did you start then.”
“I started at twenty-two, but does that really matter? You youngster.”
“Maybe I regret telling my age to you. Hmph!”
Azlin started giggling at his pouting and the motorcycle was going faster by then. Her blonde hair getting blown away and into her golden brown face. With the little spots of pale white where her blush shows that she’s having fun. Jax glanced at her for a moment and turned back to the road if they didn’t want to crash. Once they arrived, Jax stopped into the parking lot and hopped off taking Azlin into his arms again. They shared a short chat before they arrived to her door. He gently placed he on the floor and gave a grin.
“Are you gonna be okay coming to work tomorrow?”
“I’ll be fine, I should be have healed by the time tomorrow I’ll see you later?”
“For sure, see you at work!”
“Bye Jax~”
Jax adjusted his throat and went to the parking lot in silence. You could see his calm demeanor but in his mind it was a huge explosion! In the series of the events, all he wanted was to sleep but was sure that he would have a hard time doing so. Jax went home in a complete flustered state but once he came home he went home and flopped on the couch. Just checking his pockets for the key but an unfamiliar thing was there.
He took it out his pocket and it was a folded paper? Jax opened it and what was there was an unfamiliar phone number, the text next to it said.
Lucky man getting the great Azlin’s number~
He crumpled the paper and slumped to the couch into another flustered state until it was the middle of the night where he went passed out due to fatigue.
