Ethan: "Never mind, I'm going outside real quick to check on Alex"

Ethan walks out to Alex and Nigel talking

Alex remembers Iman

Nigel: "Remember now?"

Alex: "Yeah, but what does that have to do with anything now?"

Nigel pulls out a knife

Nigel: "Let me show you"

Chapter 14

Ethan: "ALEX!"

Alex puts his hand out signaling Ethan to stop

Alex: "So you just want payback?"

Nigel: "My life has gone to shit, I lost everything after that fight to you."

Alex: "We were like 9 years old"

Nigel: "Despair doesn't care how old you are, I lost my friends from then, I lost my aunt, the only woman that raised me. I've become a goalless corpse. I only decided to join this police b.s because it offers free schooling as long as you're on the field. "

Alex: "But those losses have nothing to do with me, I'm sorry you lost all those people but your life can turn around. Don't mess it up by losing yourself too"

Nigel: "Sorry Alex, but I need a win"

Nigel walks up to Alex with his knife

Alex: "If this is how it has to be"

Nigel flips the grip on his knife and instantly goes for the stab to Alex's neck

Alex dodges with minimal movement to the side

Alex: "I'm not going to fight you"

Nigel flips the grip back on the knife holding it correctly and goes for another stab towards Alex's face

Alex dodges to the other side

Alex: "Get a grip man, look at what you're doin-"

Nigel: "SHUT UP AND LET ME KILL YOU!"

Alex: "NO YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN!"

Nigel strikes with the knife again

Alex grabs the knife cutting his hand in the process

Ethan: "Alex, what are you doing?"

Alex focused on Nigel ignores Ethan

Alex: "I told you I'm not going to fight you. If you win against me in this fight with these methods, it'll simply result in loss of yourself. Put that knife away. If you want to fight I'll give you what you want, but not like this."

Nigel says nothing

Alex: "All those people you lost wouldn't want to see you like this. Fight me the normal way and I promise I won't tell anyone you tried to kill me."

Nigel throws the knife to the side

Nigel still says nothing but gets in his fighting stance

Ethan: *I don't think Nigel can beat Alex, he might just demoralize him more* He thinks to himself

Alex also gets into his stance

At this moment, words didn't even need to be said

Bully 1 throws a punch,

Nigel Throws a Punch

Alex dodges and tries hitting him with a jab

Alex dodges but hits him this time with a jab

Bully 1 catches the punch and hits Alex

Nigel takes the punch and hits Alex back

Alex gets a little teary eyed

Alex stands his ground

But tries throwing another punch

Alex throws another punch back

Bully 1 catches it but Alex throws a kick

Nigel catches it but Alex throws a kick

And then bully 1 catches it

And then Nigel catches it

Bully 1 winds up for a punch

Nigel and Alex both wind up for a punch with their free hand

But then Bully 1 doesn't follow through

But then Alex doesn't follow through, Alex shortly getting punched after

Because the kid getting bullied kicked him in the nuts.

Bully 1 is on the ground, and Alex knocks him out with a kick.

Because Alex stopped himself for the greater good of the fight, he didn't want to put Nigel through that pain again

Alex is on the ground, and Nigel stands over him

The fight transpired just how it was when they were kids, but they're both older now with more experience. This time "Bully" had a name, Nigel. Nigel was now a man that Alex respects and to Nigel , Alex wasn't some easy bully target's friend anymore, Alex was also a man that he respects. This wasn't a normal fight This was a conversation through fists. Alex understood Nigel ,and Nigel was starting to understand Alex with every punch that connected. They felt the respect with every hit that traded. Nigel simply didn't like one thing

Alex is lying down staring at the sky

Nigel: "Why?"

Alex: "You said you were tired of losing" Alex says and smirks after

Nigel: "But this doesn't count, you let me win!"

Alex: "But you still won. Was that not enough?"

Nigel sheds a tear

Nigel: "But why would you do this for me? I just tried to kill you a couple minutes ago"

Alex still looking to the sky says: "You know, I'm more like you than you think. I understand why you would want revenge. But not like this, going to jail over someone like me isn't worth it."

Nigel doesn't say anything

Alex: "Maybe you finally understand what I was trying to say earlier. Just because you lost everything doesn't me-"

Nigel: "mean I have to lose myself. Yes I understand. I need to go do some self-reflection. Alex"

Alex: "Yeah?"

Nigel: "Sorry, and thank you"

Alex: "No problem. I'm trying to become a cop, It's my job to help people" Alex laughs

Nigel cracks a smile and walks away after grabbing his knife

Ethan: "ARE YOU CRAZY?!?"

Alex still lying on the ground smiling while looking at the daytime sky thinks to himself

*Is it really right for me to fish revenge out his system? I'm seeking it myself, what a hypocrite I am. This is different though, I didn't lose my father. He was taken from me*

Ethan: "ALEX!"

Ethan puts his hand out to help Alex up

Alex: "Oh sorry, I spaced out"

Alex takes Ethan's hand and gets up

Ethan: "You need to go to the hospital and get that hand dealt with."

Alex: "You're right, tell Luke I'll see you guys another time"

Ethan: "No problem"

Ethan*He's just like an anime character! I knew I was right to be friends with him, he's so valiant.*

Ethan walks back inside burger palace

Ethan looks at Luke with a disappointed face

Luke is asleep on top of his last burger

Alex took his hoverboard to Central Tek hospital and comes out with his hand bandaged

He finally gets home and falls asleep as he didn't want to think of anything anymore, he didn't even want to look around for clues at Central Tek hospital.
