**RECAP**

Alex: "What are you doing here?"

Hakeem: "I wanted to ask Andy a question but I couldn't find him so I came here"

Alex: "What'd you want to ask him?"

Hakeem: "it's kinda personal"

Alex: "Well it seems the seniors are all out today , maybe we can just ask our question's tomorrow"

Hakeem: "Fair. You guys doing anything?"

Ethan: "we're going bowling"

Luke: "we're going to burger palace!"

Alex: "We never agreed to either one yet"

Ethan and Luke: "Fine"

Hakeem: "You guys are funny, but I do have coupons for bowling, way cheaper tickets"

Luke: "BOWLING IT IS! TICKETS ON... what's your name again?"

Hakeem: "Hakeem" He says and laughs

Luke:"TICKETS ON HAKEEM"

Hakeem: "Let's go then, you coming Alex?"

Alex: "Yeah just give me a couple minutes I need to go see something"

Ethan: "We will wait for you there"

Alex: "No problem"

Alex walks to the record room

Alex: "Maybe I can find out who did it. Who killed my father"

Chapter 20

Alex immediately goes to the "R section cabinets" in the back

(All the records from each officer are listed in surname alphabetical order)

Alex files through the names until he sees "Reto"

Inside of Ricardo's files Alex sees the names of criminals his father either arrested or was investigating. After reading far enough down he sees the name "Kuroji"

Alex: "No..NO!"

The paper was drenched in some liquid from Kuroji's name and down making the words unreadable

Alex: *Wait, maybe they have info on Kuroji in the front of the room*

Alex walks to the front where all the criminal records were, he finds Kuroji's.

Andy: "What are you doing here?!!"

Alex jumps a little bit

Alex: "I was just looking through all the records to see how I should structure mine"

Andy: "Well, you guys don't structure the criminal records, only your personal ones. You submit your info to us , we fact check the info and word it in a way that's easier for other officers to read."

Alex: "Oh, sorry. I was just eager to learn."

Andy: "That's okay. I'm glad to see the enthusiasm, but it's a rule here to not check any records unless a crime you're investigating involves that person."

Alex: "Isn't it good to be knowledgeable on some of these people though?"

Andy: "I understand where you're coming from, but we like to be very secure and we'd like to be sure of what you're doing with this information, so even if you're honest about why you're looking through these records, we'd prefer you not to. If you do, you risk being fired."

Alex: "Understood."

Andy and Alex walk out the room

Alex: *They're hiding something, well there's no point stressing about it now* Alex thinks to himself

Alex gets on his hoverboard and goes to the bowling alley to meet up with Hakeem, Luke, and Ethan

Ethan: "Alex!"

Alex: "What's up"

Alex reads the scoreboard after they just finished their first game

Hakeem: 300

Luke: 274

Ethan: 4

Alex laughs

Luke and Hakeem are laughing too

Alex: "4 pins?! HAHAHAHA"

Luke: "This is the first time you've smiled since we've met you"

Alex:"Don't make it weird"

Ethan:"Aww you're shy?"

Alex points at the scoreboard

Ethan: "You're right, I'm a failure. For that, I must commit seppuku"

Luke hits the back of his head

Luke: "Dumbass"

Alex: "Has he been doing this the entire game?"

Hakeem: "Yes"

The boys start their bowling match enjoying their time

Meanwhile...

Charlotte: "REALLY?!?!"

Gale: "Y-y-yes , A-a-alex's p-p-partner is m-m-my brother"

Nisha: "Your crush , and your brother on the same team?"

Gale: "H-H-H-HE'S NOT MY C-C-C-C-CRUSH!!!"

Charlotte: "Call him, and see what you can find out"

Gale: "N-n-n-not over t-the phone"

Nisha: "How come?"

Gale: "Alex b-b-b-brought up a g-g-good point. N-n-n-not to m-m-mention anything over t-t-the internet or the p-p-phone considering t-t-they might be t-t-tapped"

Charlotte: "So, you're just going to meet up with him tomorrow then?"

Gale: "Y-yes, I-I-it's safer to d-do it in p-person"

Nisha nudges gale

Nisha: "Ooooo"

Gale: "S-S-STOP!"

Nisha and Charlotte laugh

The Next Day

Gale: "W-w-we have to talk"

Alex: "I already know, but let's not talk here, after our work day is over then we should talk"

???: "Come here, stop talking to her you little shit"

Gale's eyes open wide in shock

Alex: "Who are you? I'm talking right now."
