"Wake up... you... don't be a disgrace to the Ekha..." Suddenly Isavaka wakes up from an nightmare. He remembers that he is still in the duty of Temple Guard, he stands up and goes on for a check around the Mandir. The night finishes and the Pujaris arrived. He announces himself a break but the Pujaris instruct him to accompany the Mandir's chef to the market.
When they finish purchasing the goods for the Mandir, The Chef orders him to carry the whole load of goods till the caravan. With his mouth wide open, watching the bulk of goods and told to take them to the caravan without keeping the sack ones lifted up to be up but not at all kept down as that were the ingredients for the God's offering within a timespan of twenty minutes. With no hope lost, Isavaka pledges to deliver the goods to the caravan, he lifts to sacks at once and rushes to the caravan which was around five kilometers away from the market. His speed started picking up in an hellish manner. The Chef was astonished that his was the first such performance that he witnessed from a 'Temple Guard'.
Completing the task in the designated timespan, just as Isavaka was taking hard breaths and followed the Chef to get into the caravan, the Chef stopped him and said that there is no place in the caravan and he has to sprint till the Mandir which around twelve kilometers away from where they are.
As the caravan started rushing, he maintained next to the caravan. The Chef was astonished by watching Isavaka matching the speed of the caravan. The Chef turned around and grabbed an a sack and threw it towards Isavaka telling him, "Grab that sack and maintain with us young boy."
Catching the bag before it falls down, Isavaka spins the bag around his body and place it on his bag and yells, "YAAAAAAH..." That loud shout of frustration was recognized by the Chef. Isavaka started to slow down. His eyes started to close due to the fatigue of not having a proper rest since the previous day. When his eyes closed for a second he saw a women in a red saree. He could not see her face properly. She was a adorable woman. He felt that he had felt this feeling before with a women in past. The women kept her warm hand on Isavaka's shoulder. His eyes opened wide when he saw the path in front of him and with diligent look, he dashes forward with eyes filled with hope and energy. "Thank you, I will never forget you lady-" lifting his head up towards the sun, he continues, " Thank you, the reason of my energy boost."
Isavaka dashes forward by picking up immense speed from the place where he looked so slow. Isavaka once again starts to maintain with the caravan. With a huge shout of determination and diligence, he starts gaining speed more than that of the caravan. His legs were gaining so much of speed that he started to cross the divine horses. His eyes was becoming wet by this run. At one point, before they reached the Mandir, Isavaka crossed the caravan and reached the Mandir before the caravan.
The Pujaris were shocked. It was the very first time that anyone could even reach the Mandir before the caravan had arrived.
"You are different boy. Have a break, you have cleared the first Trial."
After listening those words from the Adhinēta Pujari, Isavaka's sat down resting his back against a pillar of the temple. He stretched one of his led and bent the other. He turned his head down and gave out a small laugh.
Hours later of preparation of the opening, Isavaka was sent back on his duty of the Temple Guard. Followed by that, he had to give more fifteen trials in the following two days and one night. The Adhinēta Pujari informed him that if he survived the last night, he would be granted a second chance in Aastrana. Isavaka was happy.
"Pandit ji, thank you. You see, in my childhood, my mother was abducted by those demons. The elders said that my mother will be spoiled and killed. My father trained me till I was eight. Later he past away protecting my village. Wile dying, he told me one thing, that is, protect everyone. Thank you, Pandit ji."
The Adhinēta Pujari turned away with a laugh and recalled about a special person who acted to be dead.
"Hahaha...HaHaHa... Go down... Hahaha... Lets see if he is worthy..."
