‘Woah! I am still conscious, I thought I would go to sleep or something.’ Alex thought as he looked at the outside world from his own body.
‘How do you feel?’ Miracle asked who is now in control of Alex’s body.
‘It feels like I am only able to see through my eyes but I can’t feel myself.’
‘Good it means the switch was successful.’
With that Alex or rather Miracle vanished and appeared in front of Flamailo, floating in air. The demon was paying no heed to them as he continued on his rampage. Some out of control flames came Miracle’s way.
‘Look out!’ Alex warned. However, Miracle stayed there calmly and pushed the flames away with a flick of his hand.
‘You want him alive right?’ He asked.
‘Yeah…’ Alex replied stunned.
“Time to end this fool’s rampage.” Miracle said to himself as he swung the sword in a vertical manner releasing a crescent shaped black-mana wave, similar to Alex’s mana slash.
But this one performed by Miracle was a lot stronger. It cut through the flames and the next moment as if losing its sharpness and gaining in force it instead of cutting Flamailo drove him into the ground as a deep crater of about 20 meters was formed from the collision.
‘Woah! That was… powerful’ were the only thoughts Alex could muster. Suddenly he spoke, ‘Can you put out the fire too before it goes out of the zone and alarms the school?’ Alex asked.
‘Very well.’ Miracle replied as he swung the sword in a 360-degree motion by spinning his body around. The strong burst of air produced from it immediately suppressed the fire and killed it.
‘Alright times up.’ Miracle said.
‘Wait what do you mean time—
“Woah!!” Alex fell on the ground as he regained back the control of his body.
‘A warning would have been great.’ Alex said however no reply came back. He quickly realized that this must have taken a toll on Miracle.
…
“Heh that dumb grey freak is out, losing to a brat... tch!” Crabule said as he looked far off in Alex’s direction. Although they weren’t visible to him, he could feel that Flamailo’s mana had vanished.
Nina, “You should talk for yourself.”
Crabule was currently bleeding from several places. His body had taken a lot of damage. Since the time Nina’s domain took effect, he hasn’t been able to retaliate even once, it was a one-sided fight.
“Don’t get cocky just because you were able to land in some attacks.” Crabule sneered. Nina currently had him in a bind. His body was frozen in an ice rock, except for his neck he wasn’t able to move a single part of his body. Nina ignored him and tried to contact Rose with the wristband she had provided. But there was no answer.
‘Why isn’t she answering? Is she in trouble?’
While Nina contemplated her next move Crabule was chanting something quietly.
‘This might be my last chance of killing her or the best-case scenario escaping.’ Crabule internalized as he sneakily activated a spell. When the incantation was over a magic circle formed around him. As soon as it formed Nina became aware of it.
‘Shit! my mana perception is still lacking!’
Nina tried to control the ice but it was futile a dark yellow light covered Crabule extending up to the sky. Nina distanced herself from the light and immediately conjured up an ice ball and launched it in the light. However, it disappeared once it went into it. Then when the light disappeared Crabule emerged with a change in his appearance.
The half human half crab was now entirely covered by a yellow glowing stone armor from his head to his ten legs. Unknown to her he had used a tier two spell.
Crabule, “It was foolish of you to keep your eyes off me, now pay the price!” He jabbed his pincers in the ground after which stones in the form of spikes came out from it working their way towards Nina. Nina summoned her own ice spikes to counter them. The attack was evenly matched.
Crabule, “You are strong brat, possessing a domain at your age, you will surely have achieved great heights in the future but I don’t think you can maintain your ice domain for much longer!”
Several pincer shaped arms made of stones came out of the ground all of them going for Nina.
Nina stepped her felt foot forward with her arms wide. Ice started emerging from beneath her feet at great speeds covering the stone pincers in them and stopping them in their tracks.
‘I need to finish this before my domain ends, I might have roughly 3 minutes remaining.’
While she was thinking Crabule had travelled quickly behind her using his previous attack as a distraction and jabbed her with his pincer. Nina was fast enough to put up an ice barrier but the force of the impact still sent her flying in the nearby trees. Nina coughed up a little blood as she got back up.
Crabule was already on the move as large rocks came flying at her with great speed. Nina launched ice spears on them and shattered them. Using the dust as cover and trying to sense his mana she circled around him. She again launched ice spears on him but Crabule had already seen her coming. He crushed them with his pincers.
He closed in to attack her. Nina reacted quickly by moving back all the while waving her hands at Crabule which resulted into ice coming out in uneven form from her hands to obstruct him. But they weren’t a match for his armor.
“Give up your futile attempts!” Crabule roared. He used a tier one spell causing a magic circle to form in front of him. Out of it emerged a sphere-shaped stone with spikes in them.
Nina used ‘Ice Glacier’ her own tier one spell to counter them. A large explosion took place. When the dust settled Nina was short of breath.
Crabule, “At your limit, now, are we?”
Nina raised her hands to attack him but Crabule was faster and caught her in her pincer.
“Aaahhh!!” Nina screamed in pain. She tried to get free of it but it was pointless. The pincer had dug deep into her flesh. She flailed her arms madly as blood came out of her mouth.
“You fought well brat I’ll give you that, but it ends now.” Crabule said as he crushed her with her pincers without hesitation. However, the next moment his facial expression changed to confusion and shock as the Nina he crushed started to break piece by piece like a block of ice!
