“I just want to know why two humans are out in the woods in the middle of the night especially when you’re an omega and your friend went into a rut…” Xavier questioned obviously curious about why an alpha and omega were in the woods together and alone at night…

Zeths face flushed as he thought how bad it would look to outsiders, an alpha and omega alone together in the woods at night… He hoped it didn't seem as bad as it sounded. “Oh wait no it's not like that!” Zeth started flailing his arms in the air like a maniac, “she was helping me sneak out i swear she wasn't supposed to go into rut yet-”

“Why did you need to sneak out?” Xavier cut off his rambling causing Zeth to stare at him blankly.

He thought for a moment about how to explain. “I haven't been able to leave my cave much recently… I just needed space to breathe and I've always been drawn to the dark woods… probably sounds stupid though.” He let out a short sigh.

“It doesn’t sound stupid you need the freedom to live your own life, everyone does.” (yeah even you people reading this who I'm so grateful to have reading my book :3 also correct me if i make any grammar mistakes) 

Zeth smiles softly looking up at the large man who had previously saved him astonished by his kind words and wisdom. “W-well thanks for helping me and Lena. I don't know what would've happened if you weren't there.”

“Well for one you would've become your alpha friend's bitch boy. Or could have gotten badly hurt” Xavier then gently placed the omega onto his own two feet. “You're lucky I was out for a late night stroll~” he lowers his voice an octave and leans his back against a nearby tree.  (oh this fine fine man)

The omega blushes slightly hearing his deep voice not knowing what to say. He's never felt this way before… he had only just met this man.

Xavier chuckles seeing the pink spread across the omegas face. “You’re cute you know that” he then smirks seeing him getting more flustered. “You should probably get some sleep if you want to be more ‘alive’ tomorrow.” The alpha pushes away from the tree walking over to the omega picking him up again spreading his large wings ready for takeoff.  

“Wha- where are we going?!” Zeth starts panicking as the alpha swiftly lifts off the ground. Zeth started looking around the sky not knowing exactly what was happening. After a few minutes he slowly began to calm down. He was soaring through the air- no more like gliding it felt so… natural. His expression changed to one of pure happiness, something he hadn't felt in a long while.

Xavier looks down at Zeth, noticing the way he was looking at the clear skies as he swiftly moved around the tops of tall trees, the stars shining brightly above. He then remembers his previous question. “I’m taking you to my place so you can sleep safely.” the small omega looks up at him nodding while smiling sleepily.

Zeth then peacefully drifts off to sleep watching the stars placed against the alphas chest. Xavier notices and quietly lands on the side of a mountain; he then goes inside a small well built cabin and places Zeth gently on the bed covering his small frame with a blanket. He goes to change his clothes, comes back and lays on the floor next to the bed (what a gentleman) he quickly drifts off to sleep after the long night.
