Frederick noticed Sam's discomfort from the attention of onlookers and turned to Carlos with a serious tone.
"Mr. Carlos, I don't think this is the place for discussion. We can talk about it later, please," he urged, gesturing for Carlos to leave the place.
Carlos was even more annoyed at this brat who was preventing him from beating that bitch. But he didn't want to create anymore headlines tomorrow, so he left the place after sending a menacing glare in Sam's way. After all, he wouldn't let him escape anywhere and make sure that man would regret ever crossing his path.
But before that he wanted to find out why he framed him and how he became friend's with Gloria's son.
"Not now Carlos, one step at a time," He said to himself and exited the bar.
Seeing Sam still trembling in shock, Frederick couldn't bear it. He guided Sam to a nearby stool and offered him a glass of water.
Sam took a sip of water and breathed deeply, trying to calm himself. He looked up at Frederick with a hoarse voice and apologized, his silver eyes glistening with unshed tears, resembling a bright moon in the dark sky. Frederick found himself once again captivated by Sam's beauty.
He gently patted Sam's head and reassured him, "You don't need to apologize. I believe you."
Sam gave him a grateful smile and began to explain how he had been forced to go to an underground casino with his boyfriend. However, his boyfriend had betrayed him, selling him to others to settle his debt. Desperate to avoid falling into their clutches, Sam had fled and stumbled across Mr. Carlos.
He hoped that he would save him but all his hope shattered when Mr. Carlos misbehaved with him. In a desperate situation he took a lamp nearby and knocked him unconscious.
"I didn't know what happened after that. I escaped from the place and broke up with my boyfriend. It is only after I saw the news I understood that Mr. Carlos fell prey to them. It's my fault that he lost his reputation" he said in a saddened voice.
Frederick stood there shocked at the revelation. First he couldn't accept the fact that Sam has a boyfriend although now it turned into Ex, second that he is interested in the same sex and third Mr. Carlos tried to assault him.
He frowned deeply, until now he thought Carlos was a decent man. It's because he was introduced by his mother. His mother never chooses people with no morals to work in their law firm. His father and mother were upright people who value righteousness and morals above all.
It seemed clear to Fredrick that he needed to discuss this matter with his mother. He glanced at Sam, who appeared sad and disheartened, fiddling with the end of his shirt.
"You don't need to worry. I'll take care of this matter," Fredrick reassured him.
Sam looked up at him with his big silver eyes, asking hesitantly, "Do you really believe me?"
"Of course I do. I always will," Fredrick replied, offering a gentle smile.
"Thanks," Sam whispered in an almost inaudible voice.
"Tell me your address. I'll drop you off at your home," Fredrick offered, hoping to spend more time with him.
"It's okay. I'm going with my friends. Anyway, thanks for your help earlier," Sam said, bowing his head to express his sincere gratitude.
Fredrick shook his head helplessly but didn't press the matter. He instructed Sam to leave a message when he arrived home safely.
Once Sam had left, the previous traces of tears and helplessness vanished from his eyes. Instead, a grim expression settled on his face as he watched the retreating figure of Fredrick. Pushing the empty plate toward the bartender, Sam climbed the stairs and entered the private room upstairs.
As soon as the door closed, a looming figure embraced Sam from behind, showering kisses on his neck. A large, warm hand trailed towards his shirt collar, ripping it apart without hesitation.
"Ruth!" Sam exclaimed, frustrated. "Damn, this is the third shirt this week."
Ignoring Sam's protest, Ruth continued his assault, removing the torn shirt and planting kisses on the spot where Fredrick had patted him just moments ago.
Ruth saw Sam's fair skin turned red from the nibbling and kissing. Not satisfied with that, he bites the skin imprinting his teeth mark on him.
"Ahhh," Sam sighed, instead of trying to free from his arms , he leaned back into his boyfriend's embrace, offering his bare neck for his lips to explore.
Turning around to face him, Sam met his boyfriend's gaze, filled with deep affection and love, a stark contrast to the way he looked at Fredrick. He stood on his toes and wrapped his arms around Ruth's neck.
"Are you jealous?" Sam asked teasingly, a cheeky grin playing on his lips.
"I'm just waiting for all this shit to be over," Ruth replied, resting his forehead against Sam's and inhaling his scent.
"Me too. Dealing with the love-sick puppy and shit-eating dog at the same time has been exhausting," Sam muttered, nuzzling into Ruth's neck.
He stuck his tongue out, tracing it along the column of Ruth's neck before whispering in his ear, "Let's shower, Ruth."
Taking a deep breath to control his urge to devour him right then and there, Ruth bent down and scooped him up in his arms.
