Today, oh how I hate today. Today is the 10th anniversary of my mother's passing. Elves, the cause of everything, causing the death of my mother and the cause of the disease of this forsaken place. When my mother was on her death bed, she gave me a crystal and told me, "This crystal gives you power. With this power you can destroy anything that stands in your way, but please be careful." Carful, dragons aren't careful. So maybe breaking the barrier could be done, all I have to do is to tell my soldiers, then we can seek revenge!
"Luna," I called, "Yes, my Lord," she replied dramatically bowing down.
I hate when she calls me that, Luna is my best friend ever since my mother passed, but she still makes fun of me.
"What have I said about calling me that?" I quickly responded, even though she's my best friend she is getting on my nerves.
"I'm sorry, but it's funny seeing you reaction," she said laughing before counting, "Anyway, what do you need?"
"Can you please get my best soldiers and have them stand under where my biggest balcony is?" I asked her, with her confused face.
"Sure, but why? Is there something wrong?" She asked.
"No, I'll explain to you and your fiancee later, okay?" I replied.
"Alright, but I hope you're not doing something stupid," she said as she walked of.
"Don't worry, this will be worth it," I mutter to myself with a smirk.
Really, these are my best soldiers. There really... sloppy, nasty and full of sarcasm, Ugh.
"This better be worth it," a voice came from behind me, it was Amber, Luna's fiancee.
"What do you mean?" I question looking at my soldiers.
"I mean, is it really worth the whole plan?" She simplified looking at me with questionable eyes.
"Yes it is, look at what they have done to us, I mean do you and Luna really want to get married in such a dump?" I question waiting for an answer.
"Everyone is ready," Luna said coming out from behind Amber giving her a kiss on the lips.
"Did I interrupt something?" She asked looking at both of us.
"No we were just talking about the plan," Amber replied putting her hands on Luna's hips and pulling her closer.
"Oh, okay well we must not keep everyone waiting there already in a fit because I gathered them," she said rolling her eyes and hugging on to Amber. I nod at her an walked towards the front of the balcony an began my speach.
"Right listen up!" I yell to get everyones attention, "Ever since the war, revenge have been brewing. We have been waiting for the moment revenge will start. Well today is the day for revenge!!" Roars of cheers erupted, I allowed them to stop before continueing.
"These elves have disrespected us for the last time, with there perfect land, green trees, fresh waters and beauty, it time for them to suffer the losses like we have. It's time for revenge!" I pause for a moment feeling my anger grow, another round of roars erupt.
"So hears the plan, take them, take them one by one, use them as slaves, make them work until they can't no more!!"
Amber and Luna looked at me with worried eyes.
"But how will we get in? Isn't there a barrier of something?" Right I forgot every plan you make has questions.
"Leave that to me, just meet back here we leave at dusk!" I yelled, as the last round of roars erupted.
As I re-enter my castle from the balcony, I came to the worrying eyes of my friends.
"Don't you think you're going to far?" Luna asked.
"Luna, those elves killed my father, left me with nothing but a sick mother and a chard land useless to call home. We have waited 25 years to have this moment it's time to give the elves a taste of their own doing," I answered as the cold air picked up the dust of the floor.
"Alright, but what are you going to do when they are finished?" Amber asked as she looked at me with shaking eyes.
I take both of their hands and promised, "I promise that when they are done and they obey the rules, then they can go home."
"And if they don't?" asked Luna, "If they disobey then they die," I respond fiercely as I walk out of the room, leaving my frightened friends.
Dusk, finally we can strick, I go back to the balcony to see the same group of soldiers surrounding it.
"Right listen up!" I bellow to get everyones attention, "You all know the plan, await my command and seek you revenge!" I yell as roars from my soldiers erupted.
The emotions I am facing blend, but the rage in me was bubbling like a pot of lava, I flap my wings and lift myself of the ground, "Now go and do NOT disappoint me!" Row by row the soldiers start taking of following me to the barrier.
Luna and Amber by my side makes me feel confident with the choice I have made.
A few minutes go by and we are finally in front of the barrier. Elvis, so much greener up close, it makes my wrath steam. The jealousy and anger rise with each each other, "This should be ours," I mutter to myself.
"Are you sure about this?" Amber said coming up behind me.
"Yes!" I replied with force not taking my eyes of the land.
I sign, flying towards the barrier with my crystal in hand not really knowing what to expect. As I held my crystal a flow of power ran through my veins fill me with power, it burns like fire, but with no pain.
I raise my hand with the crystal in place waiting for what will happen next, I slowly close my eyes and take a few deep breaths, I suddenly open my eyes as they glowed a dark red and a red glow appeared in my hand I kept my hand out and a massive ray of light blasted out of my hand and the barrier shattered into small pieces with a, Bang-Boom.
One by one my soldiers went flying down towards the village, breathing fire, taking elves and damaging the greenery.
"Haha, it's all going as plan," I mutter to myself.
"This is all your fault freak!" A yell came from nowhere, they better not be talking about me, I thought as I started to fly over. I hid behind a tree to see two elves talking, one has blonde hair and just looks weird, the other one has brown hair and has a scar around his right eye.
"What!" The brown hair elf yelled in shock.
"Your bad luck caused all of this!" The blonde on carried on, 'Bad luck?' I thought to myself.
After the blonde elf ran off the brunette was being yelled at by every elf that ran past him.
"Alex, you idiot!"
Alex, his name is Alex.
He soon ran of to look for someone, but will no luck. He ran near two cottages about to burst in to tears.
I flew towards him as my crystal started to glow, not like the one from before this one burn with pain and not power. The elf's crystal was the same.
He looked up at me with his shiny emerald eyes, I flew down to the ground and tried to say to say something but the glow became brighter. It became so bright my crystal started to make my hand bleed, my crystal started to become heavier and heavier.
I dropped my crystal and the glow disappeared, I close my eyes so I wasn't blinded. I slowly opened my eyes to see the elf laying on the floor unconscious with
blood all over the top of his top where his crystal was dragging him down.
"Zach!" Luna called from behind.
"Luna!" I yell back at her as I notice the the only dragons left was me, Luna and Amber.
"What was that?" Amber asked worryingly.
"I don't know," I replied as I look at the elf, "But I have a feeling I'm supposed to choose him."
An unwanted elf and a misunderstood dragon, born on two different sides of a story, raised on two different sides of a war. Born to hate each other.
But one glance, one glow could change everything.
But could one forbidden agreement, one forbidden friendship, one forbidden love change themselves?
