POV:Kayda
“Miss Kayda….Miss Ayami” the shriek voice cut through the music of the tree, breeze and birds
I stood up to see the senior house maid Elena struggling to climb the small mountain. She took care of me and Kai as long as I can remember whenever we came here. She has been serving the family ever since she married dan, the head butler
“Here. Elena” I called out
“The master has requested your presence at the library” she replied
“Okay, we will be there” I said
I turned around to Ayami
“Let’s go” I said
“Can we come back here?” Ayami asked
“Of course, we can” I assured her before we climbed down the mountain

We were never allowed in the library of the main house, so this is a first.
Although me and Kai have sneaked into the library a few times at night we never noticed the library to be this big.
It had two floors with balcony on the second floor through which we both used to sneak in, the middle of the second floor was open with a beautiful crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
Grandma told us to come and meet her when Kai and Reo comes back from the office. Thankful to Kai and Reo, it was already night and we could see the illuminated chandelier in the library which I never got the opportunity to see when we both snuck in
The door opened to let Kai and Reo in.
Kai was in his green pyjamas, long straight brown hair pulled into a tiny ponytail, Reo followed behind him with his office attire, grey suit and black shirt. Both had one thing in common, dark circles.
Since we couldn’t trust anyone in the company they had to recheck every document before approval for safety, sometimes when the work overloads he calls me in for help too. Ever since ash gave the report, Kai, mom and dad has been coming in late and leaving early. He is my brother I like making him struggle but I don’t like this. Neither does grandma.
He came and sat beside me as Reo sat beside Ayami, a look of concern flashed across grandma’s face.
“We are having a ritual in 2 days” Grandma said her soft low voice echoed in the silent hall.
“You must be having your own doubts” she continued “but all I can say is this is a ritual held once we feel the necessary to do it.”
“It is done to the Celestial dragons soul, which we have managed to keep hidden from the Malachites all this time”
“Kai, Reo, you both won’t be going to work that day, make sure to make necessary arrangements for your work that day” she ordered
“but” Kai started to protest but swallowed his words at the glare she gave him.
“Okay, okay. I get it. Stop glaring at me like that” Kai grumbled
“Reo, you can call your fiancé, if she would like to join” she added
Reo nodded
“You may all go to your rooms now” she acknowledged the half-asleep Kai and Reo
“Goodnight grandma” both Ayami and I said in unison
“Goodnight kids” grandma grinned, preferably her mood lifted
