PREFACE

This book is divided into four sections, each different facets of me that have been poured into these poems:

*The Budding Storyteller

*The Feminine Activist

*The Morbid Poetess

*The Hopeful Thinker

All of these works came from one notebook that I completely filled with poems during my teenage years. So before we actually get to my work, I think it’s important to share with you three quotes. These quotes aren’t here by coincidence. They were written in my notebook and marked with the author's name. I had Allen Ginsberg's quote at the beginning and wrote each word on a separate page, hence the spacing I’ve used here. Frank Herbert and Jack Kornfield’s quotes were written on their own solitary pages. They weren’t placed quite in the beginning, middle or end of the book... instead they were lost in my own mix of words.
