              POV:Kayda 

I woke up to the sound of my ringtone.

“Hello” I grumped at whoever disturbed my sleep.

“Good morning princess” the deep voice hummed.

Ash?

I jumped on to a sitting position on my bed as if he was there in front of me 

“Good to know that you woke up to my sound” he teased

“Not so good day to me I guess” I countered

“It’s hard to argue with you so I will let you off” he paused “just for today”

“Yeh, yeh whatever” I replied “Why did you call me?”

“About the date” he paused “can we have a small date today evening?” he asked

“Today?” I repeated

“Yes, and I will drop you back at your grandparent’s”

“Oh, then it’s okay” I said

“Oh, then I will be-”

“How did you know I was here” I cut him off

“Secret.” He said “I will be there at 3, princess. Be ready”

He hung up the phone before I could question him any further

Oh well I lost my sleep anyway might as well go check plans with Ayami. I looked around to see my clock

“Nine?” I exclaimed “why didn’t dan wake me up” I hurried up the bed to freshen up

I saw dan cleaning up the dining table.

“Did dad go already?” I asked

“Yes, Kai and Reo went with him too” Dan replied

They all are overworking themselves; I wish could’ve helped.

“What about Ayami?” I asked

“I believe she is still sleeping” he said “I will wake her up to join you for breakfast”

“No need” “I will wake her up myself” I said as I stepped out of the dining hall

I knocked on the door, no response.

I knocked again and called out her name, still no response.

I turned the door handle; the door isn’t locked. I peeked through the tiny gap through the door without opening it further. She is sound asleep.

I opened the door and tip toed beside her bed.

“Ayami” I whispered not wanting to scare her.

She is sweating so much, but its not that hot in here. Her clenched jaw, shallow breathing and furrowed brow suggest that she might be having a nightmare. Should I wake her up?

“Ayami?” I hesitantly shook her.

She woke up gasping, looked at me and let out a scream which scared me, causing me to scream too.

“What is it?? what is it???” I screamed as I jumped onto her

bed, eyes closed in fear that she screamed because of spotting an Aranea behind me, a kind of spider that can be the size of half a human with lots of eyes and fur, fangs which are able to pierce human skin. It is pretty common here since the mansion is in the middle of forest. The worst part, it could camouflage into its surroundings, so it’s pretty hard to spot one.

My panic made her scream even more.

“Oh my god, what is it kids?” dan scampered into the room.

I opened my eyes to look at dan, and then wander the room to search for the big spider and found nothing.

“Why did you scream Ayami?” I questioned 

“I screamed because you screamed” she objected

“No, I screamed because you screamed” I countered

“You kids have any plan to destroy this old man’s weak heart?” he asked

“sorry” both of us said in unison.

“Freshen up and eat breakfast” he said shaking his head, mumbling something as he walked out of the room.

“Why did you scream?” I asked as I climbed out of her bed

“I was having a nightmare and got startled by you”

“Ah sorry” I said “you should freshen up, grandmas gonna kill us if she finds out we woke up late”
