Gavin Glynn's POV:
Luka is growing by the day, I kept urging Ada to just let him join me in my daily routine, but she never agreed.
I might come off as a bit hasty when it comes to Lu.
But truth be told, I can't help but feel worried about his future. Manifesting his abilities at such a young age is a double-edged sword.
Talent, it's a scary thing. If not nurtured properly, it can turn into something toxic, something that consumes rather than empowers.
That's why I've taken it upon myself to ensure he receives the best training possible. It's not just about honing his skills; it's about teaching him discipline, resilience, and a sense of responsibility.
I want him to understand the weight of his gifts.
I might have seemed more like a mentor than a dad.
But sometimes, that's just how you have to be.
Truth is, I never had much of a childhood myself. Never met my dad, so I don't have a guidebook for this dad stuff. All I knew were swords and war, bloodbaths and survival. Fighting monsters and living through adventures was my way of life.
But then, I met her: A charming beauty. I had just returned from adventuring and joined the Madanian army. After a clash with the dwarves near Ironforge on the far east of Madania, I found myself wounded, gasping for breath in the rocky terrain. And there she was, a vision of hope. She covered the wound with herbs and bandage cloth. She was my savior, and in that moment, a spark lit in my heart.
For the first time, I could see beyond the battlefield. I started yearning for her presence, for her touch. She became the reason I wanted to continue living.
Then you came, Lu. My pride and joy. You gave me a reason to wield my sword again, to hold it up against any evil that dares to come near you. But I'm afraid I might not always be there for you. That's why I want to train you, to make you stronger.
“Honey, how’s Lu?” whispered my wife
“Oh !” You startled me” I turned my head to Ada ”shhh, He’s sound asleep”
“Thank the guardians for blessing me with such a lovely child and a loving husband” said Ada in a soft tone as she leaned in to kiss me.
