I woke up in bed the next morning with a bit of a headache, not entirely sure when I even made it over to the bed to begin with. Not much happened after that night, except that Kai made sure that the only thing I drank from then on out was water. He also thought it best that I stuck near him whenever I felt like leaving the cabin in case something like what happened before happened again. As a result, I ended up spending a lot more time with him. I also got to meet some of the more noteworthy crew members. It didn’t take long to find out who the narcissist was that mirror talked about. It was on day three that he appeared. He wore heavy makeup and had a hobby of wearing frilly clothing. Kai left me with Archie and Alex for a bit to talk with the strange human in question. “Who’s that over there?” I asked, tilting my head towards him.
Archie looked over at them, “Oh, that’s Harris.” Then Alex hit him on the side of the head.
“Shut it, Archie. You know he hates being called that. What if he heard you?”
“Ow, did you have to hit me so hard?” Archie whined while rubbing the side of his head.
“If you don’t call him that, then what do you call him?”
“He prefers to be called Divine,” Alex explained while wiggling his fingers and spreading his hands apart in the air. “He likes to be dramatic.” He started afterward.
“Don’t let Divine’s looks, stature, and personality trick you miss.” Archie added in, “He is not only the most skilled navigator in the seven seas he is also an extremely skilled marksman.”
“Hmm,” I watched Kai and Divine interact for a bit longer. There was something about Divine that reminded me of someone, but I was having a hard time figuring out who. I slowly walked over to them.
“Hey, where are you going, Miss?” Alex said as I left them behind.
“Well, I can see why you would choose me for this, I am the best and most obvious choice after all,” I heard Divine say while puffing out his chess. He then looked over at me, “Speak of the Devil.” He smiled as Kai turned to look at me a bit surprised.
“What’s wrong,” Kai asked, “Did Archie and Alex say something stupid again?"
“Know they only informed of the Identity of our navigator.” I said with a reassuring smile and looked over at Divine, “Please allow me to properly introduce myself, “I am Jenna the Sea Witch. It is nice your noble navigator of the seas.”
A blush appeared on Divine’s face as I gave him a small curtsy, “Oh my, aren’t you a sweet talker? And I thought only Kai was capable of such candied words. But please skip the formalities, Blue. I prefer for us to be friends, us ladies got to stick together.”
Ladies? I thought, then realized what Divine was. “Oh, yes. You can count on me to always have you’re back as a fellow woman.” I replied while thinking, Archie and Alex are stupid.
“I’m sure you won’t be a disappointment, blue,” she said teasingly.
“Um, Blue?” I asked.
“I’m referring to your aurora, it is as blue as your eyes, thus I call you Blue,” she smiled proudly.
“I see,” I then noticed Kai’s gaze on me. The look on his face was so gentle I found myself struggling to tear my eyes away. Then I felt a change in the sea as my name escaped his lips.
“Jenna, could-”
“Something’s off” I cut him off. And looked out at the sea, “A storm was coming.”
Divine looked up at the sky, “But the skies are clear.”
“No, I’m sure,” I ran over to the side of the boat, “there’s been a change in the sea,” I glared down at the sea. At this point in our travels, we were about to reach the border of the Apenic Sea. “Someone must have upset King Triton,” I murmured to myself. Urgh, in the name of the seven seas. I thought Angerly. “You may not see signs of it now, but it is coming, and it’s going to be a big one.” I declared.
Kai looked me in the eyes, then turned back to Divine and they shared a nod. “Best to listen to a Sea Witch at sea while we got one, Aye.”
“Yes, Sir.” Divine agreed.
“Men,” Kai Announced gathering their attention, “Check that the cargo is safely secure and get ready to man the sails. I’ll take the Helm. A storm coming.” He then turned back to Divine, “See to it that Jenna is safely returned to the captains’ quarters before the storm hits.”
“yes, I-”
“What?!” I exclaimed, “I believe, I will be of more use out here when the storm comes than inside.”
“Jenna, have you ever been on a boat before now?” Kai asked, his gaze unyielding.
“No,” I said point blank, “this is the first time.”
“Then don’t argue and go back to the captains’ quarters.” He said stepping closer to me, “You have no idea how dangerous it will be out here when the storm hits.”
“Oh, I have a pretty good idea seeing how many ships lay beneath the ocean waves.” I smiled confidently at him.
“This is no joke,” He grabbed both my arms and looked me straight in the eyes, “Go back to the captain's Quarters.”
“No, you will need me out here to help using my magic when the storm hits.” I held my ground as we stood there in a standoff. “I can do far more than just make potions Pirate Prince.”
“I’m not going to be able to convince you to stay inside, am I?”
“No, you won’t.”
He turned to Divine, “I’m going to need your help navigating through the storm while staying on course. Take the helm.”
Divine smiled, “Yes sir.”
“Jenna you’re with me. Don’t you dare leave my side?”

The storm raged; it was not an easy battle. Waves trashed up upon the ship washing over us. I was drenched but that did not stop me from helping keep people from falling overboard. “You’re a Sea Witch, aren’t you? Can you not stop the storm yourself?” said one of the more week-hearted crew members.
“Fool! A Sea Witch can only summon a storm they cannot cease it!” I yelled back. “Besides this storm is powerful. It is obviously the work of King Triton.”
“So, you admit to summoning it then!”
“What?!”
“Silence!” ordered Kai. “Take down the back sails. Keep the ship moving.” He then turned toward me, “Jenna did not summon this storm, she’s too smart for that.” He then went back to barking orders when another wave hit and I saw one of the men, Archie, fall overboard while tying up one of the sails. “Jenna!” I heard Kai yell my name, but it was too late. I ran to the edge of the boat and dove in while breaking my transformation spell.
It had been a while since I swam in a dark and stormy ocean. It was rougher than I remembered. I was able to grab Archie with one of my legs as he began to sink below. I got him back aboard the ship. Divine had taken charge of the ship, and it did not take long for me to notice that Kai was nowhere to be seen. “Where’s Kai?” I yelled over the splashing waves and raging thunder.
“He dove in after you? Did you not see him?” exclaimed one of the men. It was then as if my body moved on its own and I dove right back into the sea. I had no idea where he was, and I had nothing that belonged to him, so I could not trace his whereabouts. I searched both below and above. Time was of the essence; he may have well been pulled deep down below the sea.
I then heard my name whispered, “Jenna.” I’m not sure how I heard it, but I suddenly felt this strange sense of calm wash over me. I dove back under and calmly swam down and there he had just lost his strength as I swam over to him. I pulled Kai above the waves and got back to the boat.
“Captain!” some of his men yelled rushing over in distress with Divine in tow. The storm was over, and Kai lay still on deck as if he were dead.
“You, stupid Pirate Prince,” I spat out as I started compressions. “Don’t you dare die on me!” I then tilted his head up then breathed into his mouth. I then felt a hand cradle the side of my face as my lips were claimed by the man, I was breathing life back into. I admittedly broke away from him.
“Awe, is it over now?” I then slapped him hard across the face.
“You Dumb Pirate! Why did you jump into the sea after me? Did you forget that I am a cecaelia? A sea which is born of the sea. For me to go into the ocean is less dangerous than you, a human, who cannot breathe below its waters!”
“Dangerous . . .” he stared at me; his eyes filled with unwavering conviction. “Human or not jumping into the sea during a storm is dangerous. I told you not to leave my side! I am the current captain of this ship and if you are on this ship, you’re a member of this crew and are my responsibility.” My breath caught in my throat. “Besides who wouldn’t want to be the prince of such a beautiful woman like you?” he smiled jokingly.
“Prince, huh?” I then glowered at him, “I don’t need such a thing.” I stood up and walked away leaving him and his crew behind as I returned to the cabin thinking, I shouldn’t fall this man, I must silence these feelings before they grow any further.
