It was peaceful. 

It was so quiet that I could hear the sound of the wind and the fan. Back felt the soft cushions and my hands swiped around the smooth blanket.

Is this heaven?

Huh?

I jolted up. My eyes on the guy sitting beside my bed.

“Did you do something?”, I asked with deep voice

I felt a true killing intent from the guy yet as I opened my eyes I saw a guy whose thoughts never leaked.

He quietly looked at me with no interest 

I sighed and looked around the room.

It was a small neutral room that received a lot of morning sunshine. 

One thing is for sure…

I am not dead yet.

I looked at the guy again who seemed to be distracted in his thoughts. 

He had small horns on his forehead…

“Where am I”

“Anicel”, he replied

That name never rang a bell, I looked at him confused 

“I told you it was a bad idea to hit her with a goddamn steel bar!”, he yelled looking behind

Behind him stood a half opened door, where a boy peeked in guilt 

“Such a cliche isn’t it. Don’t blame vicky, Sam”, laughed a girl walking in 

Her presence brought a hyped atmosphere in the room 

“Vini! Tell him that at least we caught her, let the legionnaire care about the rest”,vicky defended 

“Do you believe the queen will let us patrol Oclana for this prankster”,sam said glaring at me 

“Well milady, why is it that you don’t remember Anicel”, Vini asked sitting on my bed 

All eyes on me. It was uncomfortable but I knew I had to reply 

But reply with what after all it is indeed true that I can’t recall any of my memories

“I do know that Anicel is a place”, I replied facts that had already been spoken 

“See? She does remember”, vicky exclaimed 

“What were you doing in the forbidden forest?”, sam asked 

Silence 

My plan scattered before it even started. I looked at Vini who seemed to be only wise person to help me from this tyrant of a demon 

“Now now, sam… don’t go too hard on the patient”,vini consoled me 

 Sam stood and left the room in anger startling vicky 

He sure is scary…

With a sigh Vini looked at me 

“Don’t worry he is always grumpy, he will be fine”, she said 

“Hey do you atleast know your name”, vicky said with tears in his eyes 

I was shocked to answer no, I looked at my saviour

“Don’t worry Vicky, you did that to help me right? We will figure all this out” 

“What is my fate now?”, I asked with a crackled voice 

“Hmm… well the legionnaires aren’t here yet so I believe you are free to do whatever you want”, Vini explained pouring water into a cup for me 

“This might seem absurd but I want to help you get your memories”,Vicky said in guilt

A part of me wanted to say no need but there is my practical self that believed I need their help to survive this unknown world. 

“Fine, though more than my memories I want to settle first”

Vicky looked at Vini 

“Of course I am ready to help a friend!”, Vini exclaimed 

Seemed weird but I have this fire ignited in me that is ready for this new chapter 

“I come back cool headed and you guys decide to replace me with that prankster”, Sam grumbled

“We will replace you if you are not in this, you know”, Vini smirked 

“Fine, not like I got other options”

“Sam actually agreed!”, Vicky was hyped

“It’s Samuel”, he raged 

“Thanks”, I said with a soft tone 

He looked at me in silence 

“Someone’s happy”, Vini giggled
