Inside the bird-like metal cage, a five-inch-tall adonis-like-looking man with platinum blond hair, golden eyes, and sun-tanned skin was sitting in a miniature throne chair. His face was plastered with confusion. He got up and walked around the cage.
He woke up in this place a minute ago. Aside from one piece of clothing, he does not have anything else on his body.
He tried to open the cage but his current body which oddly resembles his true form feels like a weak human’s. He can feel everything like how cold the metal floor is, and how hard the metal bars are, and surprisingly he has emotions.
It was a novel experience for Zero as he swiftly adjusted to it as if this was how he was meant to be. He could still feel his connection to the system, but the presence of the God system is nonexistent to him.
The other thing he couldn't feel was his host. Their connection had been severed. His last memory was of his host checking her status window, and then he lost awareness. The next moment, he opened his eyes inside this cage.
Zero walked toward the full-body mirror positioned next to the throne chair. Inside the cage, there was only the throne chair and this full-body mirror facing the chair.
In the mirror, he saw a Caucasian man who appeared as if he had toiled under the sun for three days. The man reflected in the mirror possessed a well-built physique, with toned muscles that were not overly bulky.
"So, this is my true form," he murmured.
He touched his face, pinched it strongly, and then flinched.
"Wahahahaha!" he laughed loudly. One might assume he was happy upon hearing him, but upon seeing him, tears falling down his cheeks, and his expression resembling that of a madman, would suggest otherwise.
"So, this is pain," he thought.
Zero had inflicted pain to punish his previous hosts for not following their quests and deviating from their set roles. He utilized every method permitted by the system to inflict pain. He actually might not have needed permission because everything was allowed by the God system.
Guilt.
He was feeling guilty right now. Zero suddenly grasped his hair, knelt, and growled. A horrible headache overwhelmed him, and then he lost consciousness. Zero had just received a massive data of memory. It was so heavy that his soul couldn’t synchronize with it properly.
"Weak," Leaf's voice echoed after Zero fainted. She materialized in front of the metal cage, supported by a white pillar.
While observing the unconscious man, she commanded, "Disable memory. Lower emotional and psychological sensitivity to 50%."
She smiled and then continued, "Leave physical stats untouched."
After some time, Zero rose from the floor and looked at Leaf apathetically. "Host, what is happening? Where is this place?" he asked.
"What was the last thing you remembered?" Leaf asked in return. "I remember seeing your status window," Zero replied shortly, patiently waiting for his host’s explanation.
Leaf smiled. Her smile was so enchanting that Zero couldn’t take his eyes off her. He wasn’t attracted to Leaf. He just felt admiration for her beauty.
He flinched and contemplated what he had just done and felt. Then he looked back at Leaf.
Clap!
Leaf clapped her hands together and said,
“Binding 100%. Congratulations system Zero! I am Leaf, at your service. You are now in a master and slave contract with this master. Your main task is to be a slave to this master”.
“We are currently in my sea of consciousness”, she added.
“This white cage, my lovely pet, is your whole world until I say otherwise, and that mirror is what you can use to see what I see outside. Of course, no R18 stuff to protect your innocent eyes,” Leaf explained, pointing at the cage and the mirror.
Zero’s eyes widened. He immediately tried to contact the God system, but he could not establish a connection. He attempted to feel his connection to the system server, and it was still there, but he couldn't access it.
“Access denied,” Leaf said, trying to imitate the system server’s monotone androgynous voice.
"Wahahahah," This time, it was Leaf's laugh that reverberated inside her sea of consciousness.
Suddenly, a notification sound was heard.
Ding!

“Finally, I can earn some Pbucks,” Leaf said with excitement in her eyes. The system mall had some fun stuff that she had never tried before, and she would like to try them out one of these days.
“Host, when did you…”
“Of course, I am diligently doing my quests,” Leaf cut Zero off, and then added, “Call me master,” reminding Zero. However, by the look on her face, it was obvious that she didn't care if she was called a master or host.
Looking at the happy Leaf, Zero thought that they might have picked an extraordinary soul. “How did they scan souls in the recruitment department?” he wondered with a scrunched expression.
Zero decided to bide his time until he found an opportunity to contact the God system. Until then, he would encourage his host to complete her assigned quests. They received system announcements, which meant they were still connected to the God system, he thought.
Leaf abruptly stopped what she was doing, turned to Zero, and said, “Looks like husband candidate number 1 is asking for attention. Gotta go.”
Leaf started to fade and then completely disappeared with a blushed expression. You heard that right, she decided to get along with Zed and started to get to know him. She even started calling him husband candidate number 1 in her mind.
Hearing what Leaf said and looking at Zed in the mirror feeding cute apple bunnies while Leaf willingly opened her mouth to receive them, he started to have a mild headache. His host was really out of control.
