“As usual you’ve done a terrible job,” sister one said to Cinder. Cinder looked down at his feet, thinking about his hard work. But he knew he did a good job. Stepsister two nudged the first sister. Cinder heard her whisper,
“don’t be so mean sister.” Sister two scoffed and as she was leaving, she said,
“Don’t forget to tell him we’re going to the prince’s ball tonight,” scowled Daisy. Cinder looked up from his feet and smiled.
“The ball?” he asked. The second stepsister smiled.
“Yeah, but there’s no way you’re coming. It’s going to be so good,” she bragged. Cinder frowned; he was wrong to think maybe one of his stepsisters were nice.
